* World Champion Bobo Brazil vs Nick Bockwinkel in a non-title match.
With only 10 days until the AWA brand of Major League Wrestling (MLW) presents Cyber Sunday, the two known participants of Cyber Sunday's triple threat main event will first compete this week in a non-title match as a tune up for their upcoming triple threat match for the World Championship at Cyber Sunday against an opponent to be determined by MLW fans!
* Jim Londos vs Antonino Rocca vs Mil Mascaras
The three wrestlers eligible to be voted on by MLW fans to join current champion Brazil and former champion Bockwinkel in Cyber Sunday's triple threat main event for the World Championship will get a chance to possibly influence the voting fans as they compete in a triple threat match against each other!
*Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Ray Stevens vs Intercontinental Champion Larry Zbyszko and Gorgeous George.
Zbyszko teams up with one wrestler in George who the fans can select to challenge him for the Intercontinental Championship at Cyber Sunday . Zbyszko and George take on the other two wrestlers in Duggan and Stevens eligible for MLW fans to vote on to challenge Zbyszko at Cyber Sunday. How will fan favorite Duggan get along with Heenan Family member Stevens?
* Crusher and the Double Axe Attack vs Don Leo Jonathan, King Kong Bundy, and Ox Baker.
The Crusher teams up with the Hennigs to take on the three Heenan Family members whom the fans can vote on to select the Crusher's opponent in a finisher match at Cyber Sunday!
*Jimmy Snuka vs Don Muraco
As the fans get set to vote whether Snuka and Muraco should wrestle in a steel cage match, coal miner's glove match, or a falls count anywhere match, Snuka and Muraco are set to battle each other once again.
* Killer Bees vs Iron sheik and Nikolai Volkoff
Two of the five tag teams that MLW fans can vote for to challenge the MLW Tag Team Champions the Heart Thrashers seek to possibly influence the voting by battling each other!

* Fabulous Kangaroos vs Bruiser Brody and Steve "Dr. Death" Williams.
Current World Tag Team Champions the Midnight Express say the Kangaroos must first defeat Brody and Williams if they want another title shot.

Duggan & Stevens, interesting team Crusher and Double Ax Attack...Stephen, I think I'm going to call you Vern Gagne! That matchup has AWA written all over it! And would anyone vote for anything other than a cage match with Snuka vs Muraco! Thank you for the feedback GWFfanTrav! I guess we'll find out if anyone would vote for something other than a steel cage match soon between Snuka and Muraco because I am going to create polls for all of my Cyber Sunday matches in the LOW Poll forum. And (unlike the WWE- at least I think to some extent) I am NOT going to rig the results at all. Whatever opponets/match stipulations receive the most votes will be what takes place on my next PPV. |

First Half of the show
With only 10 days to go until the AWA brand of Major League Wrestling (MLW) presents Cyber Sunday, it is now time for the weekly edition of MLW's AWA:RAW!
Match #1: Mil Mascaras defeated Jim Londos and Antonino Rocca in a triple threat match.
This opening match involved the 3 wrestlers who are eligible to be voted in by MLW fans as the third participant in Cyber Sunday's triple threat main event for the World Championship that already involves current champion Bobo Brazil and former champion Nick Bockwinkel. So as an opportunity for Londos, Rocca, and Mascaras to show the voters how they can do in a triple threat match, MLW Chairman Bruno Sammartino ordered this week's triple threat match between all3 of them.
This turned out to be an awesome and exciting potential match of the year candidate that included a total of 13 near pin/submission attempts. But Mascaras finally won by pinning Londos via a slingshot plancha. Afterward, all 3 of these fan favorites shook hands with each other and received an appreciative standing ovation from the crowd for this great match. Although Mascaras won this triple threat, it seems like MLW fans can not go wrong with whoever among Mascaras, Rocca, and Londos that they vote into the Triple Threat main event for the World Championship at Cyber Sunday!
As Rocca, Londos, and Mascaras all stood in the ring acknowledging the cheers of the fans, MLW Champion Buddy Rogers suddenly appeared on the big screen and said that the two of them (among Londos, Rocca, and Mascaras) not voted into the triple threat main event at Cyber Sunday will actually lose twice because in addition to not receiving a title shot at Cyber Sunday they will lose to Rogers and what ever wrestler from the NWA brand that MLW fans select to be Rogers' tag team partner.
Match #2: Killer Bees defeated Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff (managed by Nikita Breznikov).
This match featured two of the 5 tag teams that MLW fans can vote on to challenge MLW Tag Team Champions the Heart Thrashers at Cyber Sunday.
During this match, the Heart Thrashers and their manager provided guest commentary at ringside where they said it does not matter who the fans vote for (MLW fans can also vote for the Heart Thrashers to face all of the five tag teams ion a tag team turmoil match) because none of them are in the class of the combination of Brutus Beefcake and Buff Bagwell.
The Iron Sheik and Volkoff were winning this match until the Killer Bees successfully executed MASKED CONFUSION and a few moves later B Brian Blair pinned the Iron Sheik via the BEE STING.
Match #3: Don Muraco (managed by Sherri Martel) pinned Jimmy Snuka.
Before this match started, Don Muraco introduced Sherri Martel (who is set to wrestle Ida Mae Martinez at Cyber Sunday in their deciding Match #7 with the stipulation to be determined by MLW fans of their best of 7 series to determine MLW's first Ladies Champion) as his manager.
This match served as a tune-up for enemies Snuka and Muraco who are set to wrestle each other at Cyber Sunday in either a steel cage match, a coal miner's glove match, or a falls count anywhere match as determined by MLW fans.
This match started off with Snuka and Muraco both exchanging offense against each other until Snuka had Muraco down on the mat. Snuka then went for his SUPERFLY LEAP but missed (roll of 6) because Martel blinded him with light that she deflected into his face with a mirror she got from her purse. As a result, Snuka crashed painfully to the mat where Muraco immediately gave him a neckbreaker followed by his HAWAIIAN HAMMER for the pinfall victory.
After being awarded the victroy, Muraco then tied Snuka up in the ropes and grabbed a pair of scissors that Martel handed him from her purse. Martel then also took out a battery-powered razor and both her and Muraco proceeded to shave Snuka until he was bald. Snuka gets his chance at revenge against Muraco at Cyber Sunday but whether that will be in a steel cage match, a coal miner's glove match, or a falls count anywhere match will be determined by MLW fans!
Cyber Sunday Add: Sunday November 5th

Match #4: Intercontinental Champion Larry Zbyszko (accompanied by bodyguard Cowboy Bob Orton Jr) and Gorgeous George defeated Ray Stevens (managed by Bobby Heenan) and Hacksaw Jim Duggan.
This match featured Intercontinental Champion Larry Zbyszko and the three wrestlers eligible to be voted on by MLW fans to challenge Zbyszko at Cyber Sunday.
Duggan (a fan favorite) and Stevens (a member of the Heenan Family) did not communicate well in this match in which they were ordered by MLW Chairman Bruno Sammartino to team together. Although Stevens refused to let Duggan start the match, Duggan did make a pin save on Stevens' behalf at one point when it appeared that Gorgeous George was about to pin him for the 3 count. Later in the match, Zbyszko had Stevens in trouble when he removed a turnbuckle pad and then proceeded multiple times to ram Stevens' head into the unexposed metal turnbuckle. Stevens however managed to block a choke hold by Zbyszko and then tagged in Duggan. As Duggan went on the offensive, Stevens (still holding his head in pain) and Heenan abandoned him and went back to the locker room. Despite coming in strong, Duggan was ultimately unable to defeat both Zbyszko and George by himself and eventually tapped out to George's SPINNING TOE HOLD.
After the match ended, Zbyszko and Orton Jr attacked both George and Duggan from behind. Sammartino then came out and told Zbyszko that next week on AWA:RAW he will get a chance to take on all 3 of his possible opponents at Cyber Sunday in a fatal four-way elimination match between Stevens, Duggan, George, and Zbyszko!
Match #5: Crusher and Double Axe Attack defeated Heenan Family members Don Leo Jonathan, King Kong Bundy, and Ox Baker (managed by Bobby Heenan) by countout in a 6 man tag team match.
This match featured the Crusher teaming up with the Hennigs to take on the 3 members of the Heenan Family that fans can vote on as the Crusher's opponent in a finisher match at Cyber Sunday.
This match ended when Bundy rolled out of and did not reenter the ring after receiving a Crusher Nelson and just as the Crusher appeared set to hit Bundy with his CRUSHER BOLO.
The fans, looking for a more decisive ending, heavily booed the retreating Heenan Family members until Chairman Sammartino came out and said there would be a rematch of this 6 man tag team match on next week's edition of AWA:RAW but that this time it will be no DQ and no countout!

In a match featuring two of the three competitors of Cyber Sunday's main event Triple Threat match for the World Championship, Bockwinkel won when he made Brazil tap out to his FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK as Heenan got away with holding onto Bockwinkel's hands for extra leverage. If this same result happens at Cyber Sunday, Bockwinkel will be able to regain the World Championship!

With only 9 days to go until the AWA brand of Major League Wrestling (MLW) presents Cyber Sunday, it is now time for this week's edition of NWA:NITRO where tonight the new United States Champion will be determined!
United States Championship Tournament Semi-Finals (Matches #1 and #2 on tonight's card).
Match #1: Giant Baba defeated Ivan Koloff (accompanied by the Terrible Turk).
-Before the match started, Koloff denounced the United States and said he was going to win this tournament even though the United States Championship really does not mean that much to him.
-Despite his arrogant speech, Koloff never even got in a single move of offense as Giant Baba manged to pin him via a NECKBREAKER DROP after just a few moves of offense which caused the crowd to erupt in loud cheers as Koloff was now eliminated from the United States Championship Tournament!
-Baba, in tonight's main event-which is also the final round of the US Championship Tournament, now faces the winner of tonight's other Semi-Final match between Frank Gotch vs Ted DiBiase
Match #2: Frank Gotch defeated Ted DiBiase.
DiBiase held his own early in the match by exchanging offensive moves with Gotch. But Gotch then went on a sustained offensive run that included multiple rolling kneebars to DiBiase who then tapped out to Gotch's GOTCH TOEHOLD.
- As a result of these two Semi-Final matches, tonight's main event and US Championship Tournament Final Round matchup will be Giant Baba vs Frank Gotch!
Splatter's Announcement: The voice of Splatter, MLW's spokesman, suddenly comes on the intercom and says "Coming this Thanksgiving Weekend, both the AWA and NWA brands of Major League Wrestling present the Survivor Series where teams of 5 will strive to survive."
Matches #3-5 are qualifying matches to join Gotch and Harley Race as the 5 wrestlers of the NWA brand that MLW fans can vote on to determine MLW Champion Buddy Rogers' tag team partner at Cyber Sunday.
Match #3: Bob Orton Sr defeated Richard Hutton.
Orton Sr controlled most of this match against his enemy Hutton who still valiantly managed to kick out of 3 PILEDRIVERs from Orton Sr. But Orton Sr continued to wear down Hutton and forced him to tap out to a stepover toehold.
Match #4: Dan Severn defeated Killer Kowalski.
A brutal match that went back and forth until Severn put Kowalski away via his WAKIGATAME.
Match #5: Diamond Dallas Page (with Diamond Doll Maxine Babe) defeated Rick Rude.
Rude was in control and had DDP down on the mat when all of a sudden DDP hit his DIAMOND CUTTER from seemingly out of nowhere for the victory over his enemy Rude.
As a result of their victories, Orton Sr, Severn, and DDP join Gotch and Race as the 5 wrestlers that MLW fans can vote among to select Rogers' tag team partner at Cyber Sunday.
End of First Half. Second Half will be posted next and includes the Four Horsemen on the Hot Seat, the Fabulous Kangaroos vs Bruiser Brody and Steve "Dr. Death" Williams in a match that the Kangaroos must win to get another title shot vs the Midnight Express, and the main event of Giant Baba vs Frank Gotch in the United States Championship Tournament's Final Round!

In the Ring: MLW Chairman Bruno Sammartino announces that MLW has invited 3 foreign superstars to compete possibly in a match at Cyber Sunday. The 3 foreign superstars are Antonio Inoki, Rikidozan, abd George Hackenschmidt. MLW fans will vote on which 1 of the possible 3 matchups involving these superstars will actually take place at Cyber Sunday with the winner of that match being offered an MLW contract!

Polls for Cyber Sunday presented by Major League Wrestling are scheduled to open on Sunday night October 29!
Match #6: Fabulous Kangaroos (managed by Captain Kangaroo) defeated Bruiser Brody and Steve "Dr. Death" Williams (managed by Killer Kowalski).
-World Tag Team Champions Midnight Express and their manager Jim Cornette (who last week told the Kangaroos they would first have to defeat Brody and Williams before being granted another title match) came down to ringside during this match to observe.
-This was a great tag team match that ended when Brody got tripped by Captain Kangaroo and then was immediately hit by and forced to submit to Roy Heffernan's STEP OVER TOEHOLD.
- As Brody was about to submit, the Midnight Express tried to interfere but were prevented from doing so by the sudden arrival of Brody and Williams' enemies the Road Warriors.
-After the match, the Road Warriors and Midnight Express continued to brawl outside of the ring where they were joined by the Kangaroos and then Williams and Brody. Absolute chaos ensued until Chairman Sammartino arrived.
-Sammartino said that while the Kangaroos have earned another title shot against the Midnight Express with their victory tonight over Brody and Williams, that opportunity won't come for a couple of weeks because next week on NWA:NITRO there will be an 8 man tag team match involving the Road Warriors and the Fabulous Kangaroos teaming together to take on the World Tag Team Champions Midnight Express and Bruiser Brody and Steve "Dr. Death" Williams!
Hot Seat: The Four Horsemen (MLW Champion Buddy Rogers, Harley Race, and United States Tag Team Champions the Valentines) are this week's guests.

As the champion here on the NWA brand, it is important for me to demonstrate to all those losers over there just why I am the best wrestler of the superior brand of Major League Wrestling (MLW) and thus the best thing going today. Apter: "Buddy Rogers, how can you be so condescending?"
Rogers: "Shut up Bill Apter! I have more title reigns than you've had pieces of a*s!"
Apter: "Lets change the subject. Earlier tonight we heard MLW Spokesman Splatter's announcement that both the AWA and NWA brands of Major League Wrestling will be presenting a PPV called Survivor Series on Thanksgiving weekend. Rumors have it that Frank Gotch is putting a team together to challenge the Four Horsemen in one of the elimination matches at Survivor Series. Are you guys ready for Gotch's challenge."
Race: "You bet we're ready Bill Apter. The stipulations for the Survivor Series matches are that everyone who survives each match will be awarded a title shot at some level. Plus any title holders who survive will not have to defend their titles against any other survivors unless those other survivors first defeat them in a non-title match. So after Survivor Series, Rogers will still have his MLW Championship, the Valentines will still have their United States Tag Team Championship, and I by surviving at Survivor Series will finally have earned a shot at the United States Championship and you can take that to the bank."
Apter: "But, as Splatter said, it is going to be teams of 5 who will strive to survive and their are only four of you in the Four Horsemen. Are you guys going to wrestle a handicap match?"
Johnny Valentine: "What a stupid question-but then again look who's asking it. No we're not going to wrestle Gotch's team with a handicap. The Four Horsemen are looking at bringing in an associate who, among other things, will team up with us at Survivor Series."
Apter: "What, the Four Horsemen are looking to bring in a fifth wrestler as an associate? Who is this person?"
Johnny Valentine: "We'll let you know when we're ready to tell you. This interview is over."
Match #7, the main event and United States Championship Tournament's Final Round: Frank Gotch defeated Giant Baba.
In a highly competitive main event, Gotch won via his GOTCH TOEHOLD to win the vacant United States Championship.
As the crowd cheers him, Gotch holds up his newly won United States Championship in triumph as the show comes to an end.

Match #2: Red Bastien defeated "Wild" Red Berry via an abdominal stretch in a rematch from last week's edition of AWA:Action.
AWA:RAW Replay: The footage from this week's edition of AWA:RAW (posted 2 days ago) comes from the match between Jimmy Snuka and Don Muraco. The footage shows Muraco introducing Sherri Martel as his new manager before the match starts. The footage then shows how later in the match, Snuka has Muraco in trouble and is going for his SUPERFLY LEAP but misses (roll of 6) when he is blinded by light deflected into his face by a mirror held by Martel just as he is about to jump. As a result, Snuka crashed hard to the mat and Muraco quickly puts him away with his HAWAIIAN HAMMER. The footage ends by showing how Muraco ties Snuka into the ropes and then how he and Martel proceed to shave Snuka's head until he is completely bald. Snuka has a chance to get revenge against Muraco next weekend at Cyber Sunday but whether it will be in a steel cage match, a coal miner's glove match, or a falls count anywhere match, will be determined by MLW fans!

-Last week the Crusher and the Hennigs took on the 3 members of the Heenan Family eligible to be voted in by MLW fans as the Crusher's opponent in a finisher match at Cyber Sunday with Jonathan, Bundy, and Baker taking the loss by retreating to the dressing room once they found themselves in trouble.
-But this week's rematch guarantees a decisive winner due to the no DQ and no countout stipulation.

-This match teams Rogers with his fellow Horsemen Race (one of the 5 NWA brand wrestlers eligible to be voted by MLW fans as Robers' tag team partner at Cyber Sunday in an inter-promotional match) and the Valentines.
-Gotch, DDP, Orton Sr, and Severn are the four wrestlers other than Race to be voted by MLW fans as Rogers' tag team partner. This is their last match to try and impress the MLW fans who will vote among them to team with Rogers against
the two AWA brand wrestlers of Londos, Rocca, and Mascaras not voted by MLW fans to join Brazil and Bockwinkel in the Triple Threat World Championship main event.
Match #2: Road Warriors and Fabulous Kangaroos vs World Tag Team Champions the Midnight Express and Bruiser Brody and Steve "Dr. Death" Williams.
-last week on NWA:NITRO the Fabulous Kangaroos defeated Brody and Williams as required by the Midnight Express if they wanted to receive another title shot.
-the Midnight Express tried to interfere to prevent the Kangaroos from picking up the victory but the Road Warriors (enemies of Brody and Williams) prevented the Midnight Express from costing the Kangaroos the victory. A huge brawl ensued and this 8 tag team match was set up as a result.
Match #3: Giant Baba vs Ivan Koloff
-Last week on NWA:NITRO, Koloff was embarrassed by being eliminated via just a few moves by Baba in the Semi-Finals of the United States Championship Tournament.
-Koloff thus demanded and received this rematch as a result
Match #4-6 involve the three foreign superstars seeking to enter MLW in Antonio Inoki, Rikidozan, and George Hackenschmidt. Before two of these men will be selected by MLW fans to wrestle each other for a MLW contract at Cyber Sunday, they will first try to impress the voters by each wrestling in a singles match this week on NWA:NITRO.

-Ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta announced that in this tag team battle royal, both members of a tag team would be eliminated if one of them was thrown over the top rope.
-Match is being held as a last chance to impress the MLW fan voters for the tag teams eligible to be voted as the challengers of MLW Tag Team Champions the Heart Thrashers at Cyber Sunday .
-Also, the tag team winning this battle royal will win the right to enter the match last at Cyber Sunday if MLW fans vote for a tag team turmoil match.
-Order of elimination:
1) Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff were eliminated when Jim Brunzell threw Iron Sheik over the top rope.
2) Killer Bees were eliminated when Mad Dog Vachon threw Jim Brunzell over the top rope.
3) Yukon Eric and Cousin Luke were eliminated when Butcher Vachon threw Cousin Luke over the top rope.

-Snuka (who last week had his head shaved by both Muraco and Martel) and Martinez are the opponents of Muraco and Martel respectively this weekend at Cyber Sunday in matches with stipulations to be voted on by MLW fans.
-Muraco and Martel won when Martel tripped Snuka who was then immediately hit with an over the shoulder backbreaker by Muraco that, along with a handful of tights, led to a 3 count victory.
-Snuka gets the chance to go one on one against his enemy Muraco at Cyber Sunday but MLW fans will be the ones to determine whether it will be in a steel cage, coal miner's glove, or a falls count anywhere match.
Match #3: Intercontinental Champion Larry Zbyszko defeated Gorgeous George, Hacksaw Jim Duggan,a nd Ray Stevens in a fatal four-way elimination non-title match.
-This match pitted Zbyszko and the three wrestlers eligible to be voted by MLW fans as his challenger at Cyber Sunday against each other.
-Order of elimination:
1) Stevens pinned George via BOMBS AWAY.
2) Zbyszko pinned Stevens via PILEDRIVER
3) Zbyszko pinned Duggan via knee smash
-After being awarded the victory, Zbyszko told the crowd that he just demonstrated that it does not matter which of these 3 losers they vote to face him because he is going to leave Cyber Sunday the sane way he is going to arrive there - with the Intercontinental Championship wrapped around his waist.

- this match featured current champion Brazil, former champion Bockwinkel, and the three men (Mascaras, Rocca, and Londos) eligible to be voted in as the third participant to join Brazil and Bockwinkel in the Triple Threat main event match for the World Championship at Cyber Sunday. The Brothers of Other Mothers (Brazil and his friend and regular tag team partner Mascaras) took on the odd combination of Bockwinkel and two fan favorites in Londos and Rocca in a handicap match.
-the lack of chemistry was evident throughout the match between Bockwinkel and his partners Londos and Rocca as Bockwinkel refused to tag in when either Londos or Rocca was in trouble.
-the match ended when Mascaras pinned Rocca via a FLYING BODYPRESS. Bockwinkel guaranteed his team would lose by sucker punching Londos in the head as Londos started to make the pin save. Bockwinkel then headed to the back with Heenan as the referee completed the three count to give Brazil and Mascaras the victory.
End of Show-the AWA brand of Major League Wrestling (MLW) will come to you next this Sunday when it presents Cyber Sunday. Also, AWA: Action (the weekly "B" show of the AWA brand) will not take place this weekend due to preparations for Cyber Sunday.
