Major League Wrestling (MLW) NWA:NITRO Friday September 22, 2006 Las Vegas, NV (First Half of the Show)
With only 16 days to go until the NWA brand of Major League Wrestling (MLW) presents Sin City Showdown on Sunday October 8, it is now time for this week's edition of NWA:NITRO!
Match #1: World Tag Team Champions Midnight Express (Dennis Condrey and Bobby Eaton, accompanied by Stan Lane, and managed by Jim Cornette) defeated Johnny Valiant and the Boogie Woogie Man in a non-title match. The Fabulous Kangaroos and their manager Captain Kangaroo (formerly Albano) arrived at ringside to provide guest commentary for this match featuring the Midnight Express who they are challenging for the World Tag Team Championship at Sin City Showdown. Cornette selected Condrey and Eaton as the two members of the Midnight Express for tonight's match but it is still unknown which two members Cornette will select to defend the World Tag Team Championship at Sin City Showdown.
The Midnight Express demonstrated in this week's match why they have been the World Tag Team Champions for almost the entire history of Major League Wrestling as Condrey and Eaton used a series of quick tags to keep Johnny Valiant on the defensive to the extent that Johnny Valiant did not even get in a single move of offense and the Boogie Woogie Man (except for making one pin save) did not get to enter the match at all. Although it was unnecessary since his team was clearly winning, Cornette could not resist interfering in the match by taking advantage of an opportunity to strike Johnny Valiant in the back of his knee with his tennis racket. As Johnny Valiant crouched in pain, Eaton hit him with a spinning neckbreaker for the victory.
After the Midnight Express was officially awarded the victory, a disgusted Captain Kangaroo from over at the commentary table challenged any two members of the Midnight Express along with their manager Cornette to face him (Captain Kangaroo) and the Fabulous Kangaroos next week on NWA:NITRO in a 6 man tag team match. Cornette accepted Captain Kangaroo's challenge by saying "bring it on, you peanut-shaped shyster!"
Match #2: Rick Rude pinned Brad Armstrong (accompanied by "Bullet" Bob Armstrong.
After defeating his father Bob Armstrong on last week's NWA:NITRO, Rude this week takes on Brad Armstrong. Rude arrived in the ring and told the Las Vegas crowd: "I need all you gambling-degenerate alcoholics to keep the noise down as I take my robe of to show the ladies what a real man looks like." As the fans proceeded to boo him heavily, Rude responded: "Listen to you. It's only match #2 and you're drunk already."
The match between Rude and Brad Armstrong turned out to be competitive and Armstrong almost pinned Rude via a RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP. But Rude managed to regain the offensive and won the match when he hit Armstrong with a top rope sledgehammer followed by a clothesline and then the RUDE AWAKENING for the 3 count. Rude's recent winning streak continues.
Match #3: Operation:Pimp (Hardcore Hodge and Steve Corino) defeated the Barroom Heroes (Sandman and Justin Credible managed by Phantasy) by DQ. This was an intense match between two ttag eams with a strong dislike for each other. The action spilled out of the ring where Hodge rammed Credible's head hard into the announcer's table. A couple of moves later, the Barroom Heroes were able to regain control but lost anyways when Credible, still holding his head and grimacing in pain from being slammed into the ringside table by Hardcore Hodge, got DQd for hitting Hodge with his SINGAPORE CANE. Afterward, Phantasy challenged Operation:Pimp to a tag team tables match against her Barroom Heroes at Sin City Showdown!
End of the First Half of the Show. Second Half is coming up next and includes the Road Warriors vs Bruiser Brody and Steve "Dr. Death" Williams and also United States Champion Buddy Rogers defending his title against Diamond Dallas Page in a steel cage match!

Major League Wrestling (MLW) NWA:NITRO Friday September 22, 2006 Las Vegas, NV (Second Half of the Show, First Half is posted above).
Hot Seat: Harley Race of the Four Horsemen is this week's guest. -Race issued an opening challenge for someone to wrestle him at Sin City Showdown, but nobody came out to accept Race's challenge yet
Dungeon of Doom: Bruiser Brody and Steve "Dr. Death" Williams (managed by Killer Kowalski) defeated the Road Warriors. The Road Warriors started off in control with Animal beginning the match by giving Williams an overhead body slam. The Road Warriors later tried to win the match twice by their DOOMSDAY DEVICE but Brody kicked out of the first attempt and Williams made a pin save on the second attempt. The Dungeon of Doom battled back and won the match when Brody gave Hawk a one handed body slam followed by 2 straight JUMPING KNEE DROPS the second of which led to a 3 count. Will Brody and Williams be able to repeat their success tonight when they take on the Road Warriors inside a steel cage at Sin City Showdown?
Backstage: Giant Baba and Dan Severn are complaining to MLW Chairman Bruno Sammartino about losing their match on last week's edition of NWA:NITRO against the United States Tag Team Champions the Valentines when the Valentines fellow Four Horsemen members, Race and Buddy Rogers, got away with holding down Baba's legs from outside of the ring as the referee made the 3 count. Sammartino agrees and says he will schedule a rematch for Sin City Showdown in which former World Tag Team Champions Baba and Severn will challenge the United States Tag Team Champions the Valentines!
Add for Sin City Showdown: Sin City Showdown Sunday October 8 Las Vegas, NV 1. MLW Champion Frank Gotch vs United States Champion Buddy Rogers 2. Road Warriors vs Bruiser Brody and Steve "Dr. Death" Williams in a steel cage match. 3. Fabulous Kangaroos vs World Tag Team Champions Midnight Express in a best 2 out of 3 falls match 4. MLW Chairman Bruno Sammartino vs Ivan Koloff in a steel chain match 5. Dan Severn and Giant Baba vs United States Tag Team Champions the Valentines 6. Operation:Pimp (Hardcore Hodge and Steve Corino) vs Barroom Heroes (Sandman and Justin Credible) in a tag team tables match 7. More matches to be announced!
Match #5, the main event: United States Champion Buddy Rogers defeated Diamond Dallas Page (accompanied by Diamond Doll Maxine Babe) in a steel cage match to retain the United States Championship. This match started with the action shifting back and forth between Page and Rogers until Rogers was caught by Page on the top turnbuckle while going for a deathjump. DDP threw Rogers to the mat and then repeatedly slammed Rogers into the side of the steel cage which turned Rogers' face into a bloody mess. DDP then gave Rogers 2 straight DIAMOND CUTTERS- but Rogers somehow managed to kick out both times. Rogers was finally able to regain control be deflecting a series of punches from DDP who he then gave a piledriver to followed by an atomic drop and then his FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE for the victory.
As Rogers lay victorious but in a bloody mess on the mat inside the steel cage, MLW Champion Frank Gotch came into the steel cage and told Rogers that. after watching Rogers' steel cage match tonight against DDP, MLW Chairman Sammartino has given Gotch the chance to announce the stipulation for the match between him (Gotch) and Rogers at Sin City Showdown for the MLW Championship. Gotch tells Rogers their match at Sin City Showdown is now an "I Quit" steel cage match. The crowd reacts with roars of approval as the show ends and the screen fades to black.
Note: AWA:Action and NWA:Animosity (the weekly "B" shows of AWA:RAW and NWA:NITRO respectfully) will not be aired this week. See you later this week for Major League Wrestling's (MLW's) next edition of AWA:RAW!

The match between Gotch and Rogers for the MLW Championship at my upcoming Sin City Showdown PPV will actually be the first ever "I Quit" match I have ever done before in either COTG or LOW. While watching the second Crockett Cup on WWE 24/7 this weekend, they took a break from the tournament to show some of Magnum T.A.'s greatest matches including his "I Quit" steel cage against Tully Blanchard and that sort of made me want to do my own "I Quit" steel cage match. I am thinking either Gotch or Rogers will say "I Quit" once their PIN reaches 12?

Major League Wrestling (MLW)
This weekend, both the AWA and NWA brands of Major League Wrestling (MLW) will broadcast their shows (AWA:RAW and NWA:NITRO) together as part of a supershow from Salt Lake City!
First is the preview for AWA:RAW- the main weekly show for the AWA brand of Major League Wrestling (MLW).
Major League Wrestling (MLW) AWA:RAW PREVIEW for Thursday September 28, 2006 Salt Lake City, Utah
This week on AWA:RAW, Bobo Brazil has decided that he will exercise his guaranteed title rematch against Nick Bockwinkel! On last week's main event for AWA:RAW, Brazil's friend and tag team partner in the team Brothers of Others Mothers, Mil Mascaras defeated Bockwinkel's fellow Heenan Family member Ray Stevens in a ladder match to grab the guaranteed title rematch for Brazil that was dangling over the ring. Will Brazil this week manage to defeat Bockwinkel and end his (Bockwinkel's) 6 month reign as World Champion, or will Bockwinkel repeat his defeat of Brazil 2 weeks ago at Unforgiven?
In addition to Bockwinkel's World Championship, the MLW tag Team Championship will also be on the line this week on AWA:RAW as the Heart Thrashers (Brutus Beefcake and Buff Bagwell) defend their title against the Double Axe Attack who announced on last week's edition of AWA:RAW that they were the new #1 contenders after defeating the Vachons at Unforgiven.
Also, one week after the Crusher sent a message to the entire Heenan Family by incapacitating Iron Mike DiBiase with 6 CRUSHER BOLOS, Bobby Heenan has announced that he will introduce a new member of the Heenan Family on this week's edition of Larry Land. Finally, Jim Londos, Jimmy Snuka, Don Muraco, and Antonino Rocca will be among the wrestlers in action this week on AWA:RAW!
Now it is time for the preview for this week's edition of NWA:NITRO- the main weekly televised show of the NWA brand of Major League Wrestling (MLW)!
Major League Wrestling (MLW) NWA:NITRO PREVIEW for Friday September 29, 2006 Salt Lake City, UTAH
This week on NWA:NITRO the contract signing between MLW Champion Frank Gotch and United States Champion Buddy Rogers for their "I Quit" steel cage main event match for the MLW Championship at Sin City Showdown will take place!
Also, as announced last week on NWA:NITRO, there will be a 6 man tag team match between The Fabulous Kangaroos and their manager Captain Kangaroo (Albano) vs 2 members of the World Tag Team Champions Midnight Express and their manager Jim Cornette as the Kangaroos and the Midnight Express continue getting ready for their best 2 out of 3 falls for the World Tag Team Championship at Unforgiven!
In addition, Rick Rude and the tag team of Bruiser Bordy and Steve "Dr. Death" Williams will be among the wrestlers in action this week. And will there be any more matches added to the Sin City Showdown PPV such as someone taking up Harley Race's open challenge? All this and more this week on NWA:NITRO!
Splatter, Major League Wrestling's (MLW's) spokesman says: "Major League Wrestling (MLW). Don't you DARE miss it!"

Major League Wrestling (MLW) AWA:RAW Thursday September 28, 2006 Jon M. Huntsman Center & University of Utah Salt Lake City, Utah (First Half of the Show)
On this week's edition of AWA:RAW, the MLW Tag Team Champions defend their championship against the Double Axe Attack in a best 2 out of 3 falls match and Bobo Brazil challenges World Championship Nick Bockwinkel in a title match.
Match #1: Jimmy Snuka and Jim Londos defeated Don Muraco and Gorgeous George. This opening tag team match teamed Snuka and Londos against their respective enemies Muraco and George. Snuka, Londos, Muraco, and George put on an exciting match as the two teams combined for a total of 12 unsuccessful pin and submission attempts. The end came when Snuka pinned Muraco via a flying head butt. Snuka continues his overall dominance of Muraco in their feud.
Match #2: Ida Mae Martinez defeated Sherri Martel by DQ in Match #4 of their best of 7 series to determine Major League Wrestling's (MLW's) first-ever Ladies Champion. Martinez now leads the series 3-1. Another great match nearly won several times by both Martinez and Martel before Martel threw Martinez out of the ring and then got DQd for slamming Martinez into the steel ring post. If Martinez wins Match #5 next week in this best of 7 series, she will become Major League Wrestling's (MLW's) first-ever Ladies Champion!
Match #3: Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Antonino Rocca, and Red Bastien defeated the Iron Sheik, Nikolai Volkoff, and Nikita Breznikov in a 6 man tag team match. After losing on last week's AWA:RAW to Duggan and Rocca, the Iron Sheik, Volkoff, and their manager Breznikov requested a rematch against Duggan and Rocca and a partner of their choice (Bastien) in a 6 man tag team match. This was yet another great match on tonight's show with the action rapidly shifting back and forth. Near the end of the match, when Volkoff had Bastien in trouble, Breznikov eagerly asked to be tagged in and twice tried to win the match through attempts to put Bastien away via his RUSSIAN SLEEPER. But Bastien was able to battle back and tag in Duggan who quickly proceeded to win the match by pinning Breznikov via a spinning bodyslam. As Duggan, Rocca, and Bastien celebrated their victory, Breznikov issued another challenge to them next week against the Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff with a different and mysterious partner which would free Breznikov to concentrate on managing. Duggan, Rocca, and Bastien accepted Breznikov's challenge.
Announcement: The voice of Splatter, MLW's Spokesman, announces on the arena's intercom that the next PPV for the AWA brand of Major League Wrestling (MLW0 will take place on Tuesday October 31 and be called Taboo Tuesday in which the fans of Major League Wrestling (MLW) will get to play a major role in determining the opponents and stipulations for the matches!
Match #4: Crusher defeated Playboy Buddy Rose. One week after sending an intimidating message to the entire family by putting Iron Mike DiBiase on the injured list via 6 CRUSHER BOLOS, the Crusher this week wrestled fellow fan favorite Rose. Despite some resistance by Rose, the Crusher really dominated most of this match and won via a bearhug after first hitting Rose with 2 CRUSHER BOLOs.
End of First Half of the show. Second Half will be posted next and will include Larry Land where Bobby Heenan will introduce the newest member of the Heenan Family, the Double Axe Attack challenging the MLW Tag Team Champions the Heart Thrashers in a best 2 out of 3 falls title match, and Bobo Brazil challenging Nick Bockwinkel for the World Championship!

Major League Wrestling (MLW) AWA:RAW Thursday September 28, 2006 Jon M. Huntsman Center & University of Utah Salt Lake City, Utah (Second Half of the Show, First Half is posted above)
Larry Land: This week's guest is the Heenan Family who are set to introduce their newest member!
Intercontinental Champion Larry Zbyszko and his body guard Cowboy Bob Orton Jr come out.
Zbyszko (to the U of Utah crowd): "After looking over this college crowd, I now know why the University of Utah recently decided to install artificial turf in their football stadium- they needed to stop their female students from grazing."
Crowd: "Larry sucks, Larry sucks, Larry sucks!"
Zbyszko (to the crowd): "What were the Mormon settlers thinking when they decided this god forsaken place now called Salt Lake City was their promised land? They must have been blind."
Zbyszko: "Now I want to welcome my very distinguished guests this week- Bobby Heenan and the Heenan Family."
Arriving at Larry Land are Heenan and the entire Heenan Family: World Champion Nick Bockwinkel, Ray Stevens, King Kong Bundy, and the Heenan family's "problem solver" Ox Baker.
Zbyszko: "Bobby Heenan, what is your response to the Crusher 's challenge to your entire Heenan Family that he issued last week when he pulverized Iron Mike DiBiase?"
Heenan: "The Heenan Family is not scared of the Crusher. In fact the Crusher should be scared of the Heenan Family. Not only is it already 4 vs 1 in our favor, I have just found a new intimidating member for the Heenan Family from right here in Salt Lake City, Utah."
Zbyszko (incredulously): "From Utah?"
Heenan: Yes from Utah."
Zbyszko (still in disbelief): "From Utah?" "You mean someone from here in Utah is actually worthy of joining the Heenan Family? But Bobby, this state is full of morons who marry multiple wifes and dilute their alcohol to 3.2%. So people here have to drink even more beer to get drunk which means drunks in Utah are even fatter and more disgusting than drunks anywhere else in the country."
Crowd boos Zbyszko heavily.
Heenan: "Well believe it or not Larry, there is someone from here who is worthy of joining the Heenan family and his name is Don Leo Jonathan."
Jonathan walks to the ring where Larry Land is taking place.
Heenan: "And now my message to the Crusher is to be afraid, be very afraid as Jonathan will rip you from limb to limb pal."
Heenan then laughs as Jonathan enters the ring and towers over the rest of the entire Heenan Family. The announcers ask, how will the Crusher do in a possible match against Jonathan in the near future?
Match #5: MLW Tag Team Champions the Heart Thrashers (Brutus Beefcake and Buff Bagwell, managed by Cassandra) defeated the Double Axe Attack 2-0 by DQ in a best of 3 falls match to retain the MLW Tag Team Championship.
Despite some early impressive offense by Larry Hennig who delivered multiple body slams and double forearm hammers to the Heart Thrashers, Beefcake and Bagwell won the first fall when Bagwell pinned Larry Hennig via his BUFF BLOCKBUSTER.
In the second fall, the Hennigs again started off great and Curt Hennig twice almost pinned Beefcake via his HENNIG PLEX. But the Hennigs were DQd when the action spilled outside of the ring as Larry Hennig smashed Bagwell with a steel chair and then Curt Hennig immediately hit a dazed Bagwell with another steel chair. The Hennigs then together smashed steel chairs against Bagwell and then Beefcake before leaving the ringside area. Despite being heavily battered, the Heart Thrashers once again retain their MLW Tag Team Championship.
Match #6, the main event: Bobo Brazil (accompanied by Mil Mascaras) vs World Champion Nick Bockwinkel (accompanied by Ray Stevens and managed by Bobby Heenan). Brazil started off this match with two early pinfall attempts against Bockwinkel via a big hammer punch and then a COCO BUTT- but the World Champion managed to kick out both times. Bockwinkel later gained the offensive and appeared on his way to yet another successful title defense against Brazil- who he just defeated two weeks ago in the main event at Unforgiven. Brazil, however, was able to survive several pinfall attempts and 2 BOCKWINKEL SLEEPERS as he appeared determined not to be defeated tonight. Suddenly the Crusher arrived at ringside in Brazil's corner which greatly distracted Bockwinkel. Brazil battled back and appeared to have Bockwinkel in serious trouble via a COCO BUTT. But the referee became distracted by Stevens entering the ring. Stevens disrupted the 3 count but got tackled by Mascaras. A couple of moves later, Brazil gave Bockwinkel another COCO BUTT. Baker and Bundy then came down to try and break up the 3 count attempt but were met by Mascaras and the Crusher who fought them all the way back to the to locker room. Bockwinkel kicked out but quickly got hit by yet another COCO BUTT. Desperate, Heenan jumped on the ring apron to break up the 3 count. Brazil them went over and grabbed Heenan but this allowed Bockwinkel time to recover and he hit Brazil with a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK- but Brazil withstood the pain and refused to tap out. Jonathan, the newest member of the Heenan Family, then made his way out to ringside. But the Crusher came back down and started brawling with Jonathan up and down the entrance ramp. The Crusher's return appeared to have an unsettling effect upon Bockwinkel whose dropkick attempt was dodged by Brazil. Brazil then hit Bockwinkel with a Bobo body slam followed by yet another COCO BUTT and this time Bockwinkel could not kick out. BOBO BRAZIL WINS THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP AND ENDS THE 6 MONTH REIGN OF BOCKWINKEL!
Mascaras and the Crusher then enter the ring and celebrate with Brazil who jumps on the top turnbuckle and holds his newly won World Championship to the rafters as the crowd goes nuts and the show comes to an end.
Fade to black.
Be sure to join us at Major League Wrestling (MLW) tomorrow night on NWA:NITRO- the main weekly show of MLW"s NWA brand- as MLW Champion Frank Gotch and United States Champion Buddy Rogers sign the contract for their "I Quit" steel cage main event match at Sin City Showdown on Sunday October 8th!

great card Stephen! Cool to see Brazil uncrown Bock! Don Leo Jonathan is definetly an impressive signing for the Heenan Family Thanks. Yeah, I was not sure if Bockwinkel was ever going to lose his World Championship. He had a great reign and will probably try to get his title back. Because I have not used him in awhile, I am eager to see how DLJ does.

Nice card! I loved the main event and Larry Land. Bobo is now IWLF and AWA champion in our parallel universe feds! Thanks godzillajoe2k4. It seems like Brazil lately has been on a roll for alot of feds including ours. Since Major League Wrestling is in UTAH this week and the Univeristy of Utah is arguably the main conference (Mountain West Conference) rival of UNLV where I went to school, I guess that kind of influenced me to take Larry Land a little more over the top than usual this week.
