Nice card as usual Stephen. Bockwinkel, along with Rogers, has been one of my most consistent performers.

Major League Wrestling (MLW) PREVIEW for AWA:RAW Thursday September 21, 2006 Thomas @ Mack in Las Vegas, NV
Following its Unforgiven PPV this past Sunday in which World Champion Nick Bockwinkel successfully defended his World Championship against Bobo Brazil, the AWA brand of Major League Wrestling will feature the first ever guaranteed rematch contract ladder match as the main event this week on AWA:RAW!
A contract guaranteeing Brazil a rematch against Bockwinkel will be placed above the ring in a ladder match. But instead of Brazil wrestling Bockwinkel, it will be their seconds, Mil Mascaras and Ray Stevens, from their match at Unforgiven trying to grab the contract for the guaranteed rematch. If Mil Mascaras grabs the rematch contract, he can give it to his friend Brazil. But if Stevens grabs the rematch contract, he can rip it up for the Heenan Family and deny Brazil a rematch opportunity against Bockwinkel.
In addition, the Crusher, Jimmy Snuka, and Jim Londos will be among the wrestlers competing this week on AWA:RAW!
Now for the preview for NWA:NITRO- the main weekly show for the NWA brand of Major League Wrestling (MLW)!
Major League Wrestling (MLW) PREVIEW for NWA:NITRO
This week on NWA:NITRO, United States Champion Buddy Rogers defends his title against Diamond Dallas Page in a steel cage- the very same type of match that Rogers lost the MLW Championship to Frank Gotch 3 weeks ago on NWA:NITRO!
In addition, the Road Warriors are set to confront their enemies the Dungeon of Doom: Bruiser Brody and Steve "Dr. Death" Williams as the two teams get set to compete in a steel cage tag team match at Sin City Showdown. Also, Operation: Pimp (Hardcore Hodge and Steve Corino) have received a rematch against their enemies the Barroom Heroes (Sandman and Justin Credible) and the World Tag Team Champions the Midnight Express will be in action. Finally, will any additional matches be announced for the NWA brand's exclusive PPV Sin City Showdown set for Sunday October 8?
MLW spokesman Splatter says: "Major League Wrestling (MLW). Don't you DARE miss it!"

Following last Sunday's Unforgiven PPV, it is now time once again for Major League Wrestling's (MLW's) Power 25!
Major League Wrestling has assembled a panel of wrestling experts from across the globe who will regularly determine who are the top 25 wrestlers in Major League Wrestling and rank them accordingly. In addition to win/loss record, Major League Wrestling's panel of experts will also consider factors of opponent quality, momentum, and intangibles in calculating the Power 25.
RED means the wrestler(s) on the Power 25 are in the AWA brand of Major League Wrestling (MLW)
BLUE means the wrestler(s) on the Power 25 are in the NWA brand of Major League Wrestling (MLW)
MLW's Power 25 as of 09/20/06:
1. World Champion Nick Bockwinkel After defeating Bobo Brazil at Unforgiven, Bockwinkel continues his now 6 month uninterrupted reign as World Champion.
2. MLW Champion Frank Gotch Gotch next defends his title against United States Champion Buddy Rogers at Sin City Showdown.
3. United States Champion Buddy Rogers Defends his United States Championship against diamond Dallas Page in a steel cage this week on NWA:NITRO- 3 weeks after losing the MLW Championship to Gotch in the very same type of match.
4. World Tag Team Champions Midnight Express During the six month history of Major League Wrestling, the Midnight Express have been the most dominant tag team.
5. Road Warriors Accepted Killer Kowalski's challenge to wrestle Bruiser Brody and Steve "Dr. Death" Williams in a steel cage at Sin City Showdown.
6. Intercontinental Champion Larry Zbyszko The host of Larry Land continues to look impressive after defeating Antonino Rocca once again last weekend at Unforgiven.
7. Fabulous Kangaroos Set to challenge the Midnight Express once again at Sin City Showdown following their #1 contenders victory over the Boogie Woogie Man and Johnny Valiant last week on NWA:NITRO.
8. Bobo Brazil Despite his loss to Bockwinkel at Unforgiven, Brazil remains in the top 10 of the Power 25.
9. Harley Race With fellow Horsemen Buddy Rogers dominating the tittle scene in the NWA brand, Race is having difficulty advancing in the Power 25.
10. The Crusher Looked impressive in his victory over King Kong Bundy at Unforgiven.
11. Diamond Dallas Page After wrestling Rogers to DQ finishes the past two weeks on NWA:NITRO, will the third time be the charm for Page in his steel cage match vs Rogers for the United States Championship this week?
12. Jimmy Snuka After getting the victory in the dog collar match at Unforgiven, Snuka appears to be winning his feud against Don Muraco.
13. Mil Mascaras Has an opportunity to help his friend Brazil get another title shot at Bockwinkel if he can win the first-ever guaranteed rematch contract ladder match against Ray Stevens in the main event this week on AWA:RAW!
14. United States Tag Team Champions the Valentines Albeit with help from fellow Horsemen Rogers and Race, defeated Dan Severn and Giant Baba last week on NWA:NITRO.
15. Killer Kowalski's Dungeon of Doom: Bruiser Brody and Steve "Dr. Death" Williams. As a tune-up for their steel cage match against the Road Warriors at Sin City Showdown, Brody and Williams wrestle Hawk and Animal in a regular tag team match this week on NWA:NITRO.
16. Giant Baba and Dan Severn It appears Baba and Severn, former World Tag Team Champions and the team that finished second at the Sammartino Invitational, have reunited.
17. Jim Londos Earned a countout victory over Gorgeous George at Unforgiven.
18. Ray Stevens The Heenan Family are hoping that Stevens will win this week's first-ever guaranteed rematch contract ladder match against Brazil so he can tear up Brazil's rematch contract.
19. Antonino Rocca Despite some early offense, lost again to Zbyszko at Unforgiven.
20. MLW Tag Team Champions the Heart Thrashers (Brutus Beefcake and Buff Bagwell) Their surprising reign as MLW Tag Team Champions continues following their shocking victory over the Killer Bees at Unforgiven to retain their tag team title.
21. Rick Rude Rude cracks the Power 25 following impressive wins over consecutive weeks on NWA:NITRO.
22. Don Muraco In danger of falling out of the Power 25 after recent losses to Snuka- including the dog collar match at Unforgiven.
23. Double Axe Attack after defeating fellow family tag team the Vachons at Unforgiven, the Hennigs have landed on the Power 25.
24. Richard Hutton Winning his feud against Bob Orton Sr.
25. Operation:Pimp (Hardcore Hodge and Steve Corino) In their debut match as a tag team last week on NWA:NITRO, Hodge and Corino picked up a victory over the Barroom Heroes (Sandman and Justin Credible).

I agree. Bockwinkel and Gotch are a fitting #1 and #2. Buddy Rogers is overrated, but his stats put him up at the top too. I'm surprised Larry Z is as high as he is though.

Thanks for the feedback on my Power 25 rankings.
Buddy Rogers for awhile was at the very top of my Power 25 rankings because at that time he held both my MLW Championship (MLW=Major League Wrestling) and my United States Championship. But Rogers dropped to #3 because he lost the MLW Championship to Frank Gotch who is currently ranked #2.
Nick Bockwinkel is #1 because he has held my World Championship since last March and just had a successful title defense against Bobo Brazil last weekend at my Unforgiven PPV.
Rogers will get a chance to move up again if he can defeat Gotch at my upcoming Sin City Showdown PPV. But Rogers might also drop further in the rankings if he loses the United States Championship this weekend in his steel cage match (the exact same match he lost the MLW Championship 3 weeks ago to Gotch) against Diamond Dallas Page.

Major League Wrestling (MLW) AWA:RAW Thursday September 21, 2006 Las Vegas, NV (First Part of the show)
Following Unforgiven last weekend in which Nick Bockwinkel of the Heenan Family defeated Bobo Brazil to retain the World Championship, the main event for tonight's edition of AWA:RAW will be a guaranteed rematch contract ladder match in which Mil Mascaras (Brazil's' second from Unforgiven) will compete against Heenan Family member Ray Stevens (Bockwinkel's second from Unforgiven). If Mascaras wins the ladder match by grabbing the rematch contract hanging from the ceiling, he can give it to his friend Brazil. But if Stevens wins the ladder match by grabbing the rematch contract, he can tear it up and deny Brazil a rematch against Bockwinkel!
Match #1: The Crusher pinned Iron Mike DiBiase via the CRUSHER BOLO. Despite early offense from mike DiBiase, the Crusher controls almost all of this match and wins via his finisher.
After the Crusher is announced as the winner, the Sin City crowd all hold up five fingers and erupt in chants of "FIVE MORE TIMES! FIVE MORE TIMES! FIVE MORE TIMES!"
The Crusher responded by grabbing a microphone and saying "This one goes out to the Heenan Family's King Kong Bundy- my opponent who I defeated last weekend at Unforgiven."
The Crusher then picks up Mike DiBiase and gives him another CRUSHER BOLO!
Everyone in the Sin City crowd then hold up 4 fingers and erupt in chants of "FOUR MORE TIMES! FOUR MORE TIMES! FOUR MORE TIMES"
The Crusher then gets on the microphone and says "This one goes out to the Heenan Family's "problem solver" Ox Baker" and then picks up Mike DiBiase to give him another CRUSHER BOLO!
Everyone in the Sin City crowd then hold up 3 fingers and shouts "3 MORE TIMES! 3 MORE TIMES! 3 MORE TIMES!"
The Crusher then grabs the microphone and says "This one is dedicated to Ray Stevens of the Heenan Family!" and then picks up a limp Mike DiBiase to give him another CRUSHER BOLO!
Everyone in the Sin City crowd then hold up 2 fingers and shouts "2 MORE TIMES! 2 MORE TIMES! 2 MORE TIMES!"
The Crusher then grabs the microphone and says "This one goes out to Nick Bockwinkel whose World Championship I am coming after!" and then picks up an almost unconscious Mike DiBiase and gives him yet another CRUSHER BOLO!
Everyone in the Sin City crowd then hold up 1 finger (their middle one) and shout "ONE MORE TIME! ONE MORE TIME! ONE MORE TIME!"
The Crusher then grabs the microphone and says "Last but not least this one goes out to the Weasel and head of the Heenan Family- Bobby Heenan: and then picks up Mike DiBiase once again and delivers a final CRUSHER BOLO before leaving the ring to the cheers of the crowd.
Trainers, EMTs, and referees then rush tot he ring to attend to Mike DiBiase where it is quickly learned that Mike DiBiase will be OK but likely out of action for a few weeks.
Backstage: The Heenan Family (Heenan, Bockwinkel, Stevens, Bundy, and Baker) are shown watching with concern the Crusher destroy Mike DiBiase in the ring. Bockwinkel repeats his previously stated concern about possibly having to defend his World Championship against the Crusher. Heenan responds by telling Bockwinkel not to worry because he has just recruited a new member of the Heenan Family that he will debut when AWA:RAW of Major League Wrestling is in Salt Lake City next week.
(End of first part of the show, the rest of the show will be posted next).

Major League Wrestling (MLW) AWA:RAW Thursday September 21, 2006 (rest of the show, opening segments were on the previous post)
Backstage: Hacksaw Jim Duggan is approached by MLW Chairman Bruno Sammartino.
-Sammartino tells Duggan that, after Duggan defeated Nikolai Volkoff in a 2X4 match last weekend at Unforgiven, Volkoff and the Iron Sheik are now requesting a match against Duggan tonight on AWA:RAW.
-Duggan sys he will wrestle the Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff in a tag team match tonight on 2 conditions: a) Duggan gets to choose his own tag team partner and b) Duggan gets to pick a guest referee for tonight's match
-Sammartino agrees but asks who Duggan has in mind for the guest referee in his match tonight
-Duggan responds that tonight's guest referee is a fellow New Yorker and won't put up with any BS from the Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff
Match #2: Jim Londos defeated Gorgeous George. Londos came out to the ring and said he was not satisfied with his countout victory over George last weekend at Unforgiven and challenged George to a rematch right now! George comes out and the match is on. Both Londos and George displayed their intensifying dislike for each other as the action spilled outside of the ring multiple times. The match ended when George went for a death jump only to grabbed on the top turnbuckle by Londos and slammed to the mat. Londos then immediately used his AIRPLANE SPIN finisher to win the match.
Match #3: Sherri Martel pinned Ida Mae Martinez. This was match #3 in Martinez and Martel's best of 7 series to determine Major League Wrestling's first Ladies Champion with Martinez leading 2-0. Martinez used repeated DROPKICKS to nearly win the match and get a 3-0 series lead but Martel battled back and won via a leg drop. The series now stands at 2-1 with Martinez still in the lead.
Match #4: Jimmy Snuka defeated Don Muraco by DQ. After defeating his enemy Muraco in a dog collar match at Unforgiven last weekend, Snuka was clearly winning this battle once again until he threw Muraco out of the ring and went after him where, perhaps out of desperation, Muraco slammed Snuka brutally into the steel ring pole to get DQd. The announcers remark that this feud will certainly continue!
Larry Land: MLW Tag Team Champions the Heart Thrashers and their manager Cassandra are this week's guests! Larry Zbyszko: "It is time for Larry Land hosted by me, the Intercontinental Champion, Larry Z."
Zbyszko: "This week's guest are people I respect as they, like myself, are champions. Although, I would like to point out that I am ranked higher than them on Major League Wrestling's Power 25 at #6 and would undoubtedly hold tag team gold if I wanted to form a full time tag team with my body guard here Cowboy Bob Orton Jr, I still really admire the style of the Heart Thrashers and their manager Cassandra."
MLW Tag Team Champions the Heart Thrashers and their manager Cassandra arrive on Larry Land.
Zbyszko (tot he Heart Thrashers): "You guys have proven all the so called experts wrong about you guys. First you win the MLW Tag Team Championship Tournament among tag teams of AWA brand wrestlers back in July and you still have those belts today after defeating the Killer Bees at Unforgiven last weekend."
Brutus Beefcake: "Many of those people just seem completely stupid as they forget or don't know that both me and Bagwell have been former tag team champions with other partners in other feds. We have the experience, as well as the looks, to be the MLW Tag Team Champions for a long time."
Bagwell: "Buff is the stuff."
Beefcake: "Plus we have a great manager in Cassandra who, in addition to planning late night strategies with us, knows just how to distract our opponents when she is at ringside."
Zbyszko: "Yeah, defending the MLW Tag Team Championship must be alot more easy when you have a manager who is so hot and sleazy."
Zbyszko:" I used to always say that women should be doing womens' work such as folding the laundry, scrubbing the toilet, and cleaning the house. But I think I can make an exception for someone with your talents Cassandra."
Cassandra is about to respond when the Double Axe Attack suddenly arrive on Larry Land and inform the Heart Thrashers that they are now the new #1 contenders to their MLW Tag Team Championship after defeating the Vachons at Unforgiven. The Hennigs also inform the Heart Thrashers that Sammartino has granted them a title match against Beefcake and Bagwell next week on AWA:RAW!
Match #5: Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Antonino Rocca defeated Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff (managed by Nikita Breznikov) Duggan arrived in the ring and announced that Rocca would be his surprise tag team partner. Duggan then announced his surprise guest referee: Neilybob! The Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff started off controlling this match with lots of quick tags to keep Rocca on the defensive and isolated from Duggan. But Rocca finally dodged a big boot by Volkoff and, after hitting the big Russian with some dropkicks, tagged in Duggan to the roar of the crowd. Duggan immediately hit Volkoff with a vertical suplex followed by a Tough Guy clothesline. Guest referee Neilybob then caught Breznikov desperately trying to help out Volkoff by preparing to hit Duggan with a club. Neilybob immediately ordered Breznikov away from ringside and back to the locker room. As Volkoff argued with guest referee Neilybob about Breznikov's eviction, Duggan hit the big Russian from behind with a FLYING SPEAR and Neilybob went for an extremely fast 3 count to give Duggan and Rocca the victory!
Backstage: Ray Stevens is seen talking to Bockwinkel and Heenan who remind him to instruct him to tear up the guaranteed title rematch against Bockwinkel if Stevens defeats Mascaras in the upcoming ladder match.
Backstage: Mascaras is seen talking to Brazil who he promises to hand over the guaranteed title rematch contract against Bockwinkel if he defeats Stevens in tonight's main event ladder match that is coming up next.
Match #6, the main event: Mil Mascaras vs Ray Stevens (ladder match) Before the match started, ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta reminded the fans that tonight's ladder match is for a guaranteed title rematch for Bobo Brazil vs World Champion Nick Bockwinkel in which Mascaras and Stevens, the seconds of Brazil and Bockwinkel from Unforgiven last weekend, will compete. If Mascaras wins by grabbing the rematch contract, he can give it to Brazil who was defeated by Bockwinkel at Unforgiven last weekend. But if Stevens wins by grabbing the rematch contract dangling above the ring, he can tear it up and thus deny Brazil a rematch against fellow Heenan Family member Bockwinkel.
This match proved surprisingly one sided as Mascaras, after smashing Stevens' head repeatedly into the ladder, won by giving Stevens a FLYING BODYPRESS which allowed Mascaras to climb up the ladder and grab the rematch contract.
Winner: Mil Mascaras
Brazil, Mascaras' friend and tag team partner in the tag team Brothers of Other Mothers, comes out to congratulate Mascaras who hands him the rematch contract against Bockwinkel. The announcers remark that the only question now is when Brazil will choose to use his challenge against Bockwinkel.
As the Brothers of Other Mothers (Brazil and Mascaras) celebrate together to the cheers of the crowd, the show ends and the screen fades to black.
See you tomorrow for NWA:NITRO, the main weekly show for Major League Wrestling's other brand- the NWA, where United States Champion Buddy Rogers defends his title against Diamond Dallas Page in a steel cage and the Road Warriors once again battle Bruiser Brody and Steve "Dr. Death" Williams!
