Major League Wrestling (MLW) AWA Preview for AWA:RAW Thursday 08/10/06 Spokane, WA
Last week on AWA:RAW, Jim Londos defeated World Champion Nick Bockwinkel by dq after the Heenan Family's "problem solver" Ox Baker interfered to save Bockwinkel's title. As a result, MLW owner and general manager Bruno Sammartino has announced that the AWA portion of the main event at Summer Slam (the date of which Sammartino confirmed has been switched to August 27) will be a rematch between Londos and Bockwinkel for the World Championship. Sammartino has also announced that this time the title match will take place in a steel cage to prevent anymore possible outside interference by the Heenan Family! The contract signing for this match will take place this week on AWA:RAW.
Also, the First Round matches of the Intercontinental Championship Tournament will take place this week on AWA:RAW with the last two wrestlers competing in the Final Round at Summer Slam. These are this week's First Round matchups released by Sammartino's office:
Antonino Rocca vs Hacksaw Jim Duggan The Crusher vs Ray Stevens Bobo Brazil vs Don Muraco Mil Mascaras vs Larry Zbyszko
In addition, last week on the first-ever edition of Larry Land, Larry Zbyszko was embarrassed after being attacked by Frankie- the bird of Zbyszko's guest Koko B. Ware. Zbyszko later swore that he would show this week on Larry Land how something like this would never happen to him again. What does Zbyszko have in mind?
Also, last week on NWA:NITRO (the main show of Major League Wrestling's other brand-the NWA), Phantasy announced she has formed a new tag team and will be bringing them over to the AWA this week to challenge the MLW Tag Team Champions the Heart Thrashers and their manager Cassandra whom has exchanged heated words with Phantasy over the past two weeks. Who is this new tag team that Phantasy has assembled?
All this and more this week on AWA:RAW!
Now it is time for this week's preview of Major League Wrestling's (MLW's) other brand- the NWA.
Major League Wrestling (MLW) NWA Preview for NWA:NITRO Friday, 08/11/06 Portland, OR
In this week's main event on NWA:NITRO. MLW owner and GM Bruno Sammartino has ordered a six man tag team match in which Frank Gotch and Diamond Dallas Page (who will be competing both against each other and against Buddy Rogers in the NWA's portion of the main event at Summer Slam in the triple threat two falls match for Buddy Rogers's MLW Championship and United States Championship) will team together along with Giant Baba against MLW Champion and United States Champion Buddy Rogers and Rogers's fellow Horsemen the United States Tag Team Champions the Valentines. Furthermore, Sammartino has declared that MLW spokesman Splatter and his club Arsenal will be the guest referees for this week's main event!
Following the dq victory by the Fabulous Kangaroos last week over the Armstrongs, the two tag teams will meet again this week in a no dq and no countout match. And Sammartino's office has declared that the winner of this match will challenge the Midnight Express for the World Tag Team Championship at Summer Slam!
As the Road Warriors and Killer Kowalski's new Dungeon of Doom members Bruiser Brody and Steve "Dr. Death" Williams get set to confront each other in their tag team match at Summer Slam, the two sides will compete in singles action this week with Hawk wrestling Brody. In addition, Hardcore Hodge and Steve Corino will meet in match #1- a falls count anywhere match- of their best of seven hardcore series to determine who is the true both old school and hardcore wrestler. All this and more this week on NWA:NITRO!
MLW Spokesman Splatter says: "Major League Wrestling (MLW). Don't you DARE miss it!"

Major League Wrestling (MLW) AWA:RAW Thursday 08/10/06 Spokane Arena in Spokane, WA (First Half of the show)
Killer Bees vs the Vachons (managed by "Wild" Red Berry)
This opening match is a rematch from last week's match in which the Killer Bees defeated the Vachons by dq. At the start of this match, Ring Announcer Gary Michael Cappetta announced that if either the Killer Bees or the Vachons could score a pinfall or submission victory over their opponents tonight then they would receive a title match against the MLW Tag Team Champions the Heart Thrashers at Summer Slam!
This match proved to be a fast-paced bout with many quick tags and shifts of momentum as both the Killer Bees and the Vachons seemed determined to score a decisive victory and win the coveted opportunity to wrestle for the MLW Tag Team Championship at Summer Slam. The end came when B. Brian Blair hit Mad Dog Vachon with a cross body block and then threw him through the ropes to the outside of the ring. Wanting to ensure that Mad Dog was not counted out, Blair followed to the outside of the ring where he was hit from behind by Berry's cane. As Blair turned to confront Berry, Mad Dog hit Blair over the head with a steel chair. Unfortunately for both teams, the referee caught this and signaled for the bell. The Killer Bees win the match by dq- but do not win the right to face the Heart Thrashers at Summer Slam because the match stipulations required a pinfall or submission victory.
Winner: Killer Bees by DQ
Backstage: MLW Tag Team Champions the Heart Thrashers (Beefcake and Bagwell) and their manager Cassandra (from COTG) watch the ending of the Killer Bees-Vachons match. Beefcake remarks that it looks like the Heart Thrashers do not have an opponent yet for Summer Slam.
Suddenly, a voice from behind them yells "WRONG" and the Heart Thrashers and Cassandra are attacked from behind and beaten down with Singapore canes by Justin Credible, the Sandman, and Phantasy (from COTG). Phantasy tells Cassandra she in responding to the challenge made to her last week with her new tag team of the Sandman and Justin Credible- the Barroom Heroes.
Phantasy also tells Cassandra that she and the Barroom Heroes are challenging her (Cassandra) and the Heart Thrashers to an inter-promotional tag team match at Summer Slam in which Cassandra and the Heart Thrashers will represent the AWA and she and the Barroom Heroes will represent the NWA-but only opponents of the same sex can wrestle each other inside the ring during the match.
The Barroom Heroes then drink beers over their downed opponents the Heart Thrashers and Phantasy opens and pours the contents of one of the beers down Cassandra's dress before leaving.
Ida Mae Martinez vs Sherri Martel
Martinez started off strong with a cross body block and scored two straight near pinfalls over Martinez via 2 DROPKICKS in a row. Martinez and Martel traded the advantage back and forth until Martel eventually hit Martinez with a head scissors followed by a clothesline and then her TOP ROPE SPLASH finisher for the victory.
Winner: Sherri Martel
It is now time for the First Round of the Intercontinental Championship Tournament
Antonino Rocca vs Hacksaw Jim Duggan
As Duggan was putting his 2X4 away in the corner, Rocca surprised him with a face slap with foot followed by a victory roll. Rocca then performed 2 consecutive death jumps followed by his ARGENTINIAN BACBREAKER finisher for the easy victory.
Winner: Antonino Rocca. Rocca advances in the Intercontinental Championship Tournament.
the Crusher vs Ray Stevens (with manager Bobby Heenan and Ox Baker- the Heenan Family's "problem solver").
The announcers remark how we learned last week at the end of AWA:RAW that Stevens had joined the Heenan Family and was among the Heenan Family members that ganged up on Jim Londos and Curt Hennig until they were chased away by the Crusher- who is now Stevens' First Round opponent here in the Intercontinental Championship Tournament.
The Crusher started off strong by giving Stevens a kick to the stomach followed by a body slam. The Crusher proceeded to dominate most of the match and, after giving Stevens several blatant chokes, at one point nearly made Stevens submit to a stomach claw. The Crusher continued to control the match and seemed destined to advance to next week's Semi Final Round. The Crusher appeared set to give Stevens another blatant choke but decided to throw him into the ropes instead. As the Crusher got set to give Stevens a back-body drop, Baker reached in and tripped him which allowed Stevens coming off the ropes to hit the Crusher with an awesome piledriver. Stevens then gave the Crusher his BOMBS AWAY finisher to get the victory, thanks to Baker's interference, seemingly out of nowhere.
Winner: Ray Stevens. Stevens advances in the Intercontinental Championship Tournament.
End of the First half. The Second Half will be posted next!

Major League Wrestling (MLW) AWA:RAW Thursday 08/10/06 Spokane Arena in Spokane, WA (Second Half of the show, First Half is posted above)
In Ring: Contract signing for the steel cage match between Jim Londos and World Champion Nick Bockwinkel- the AWA's portion of the main event at Summer Slam!
At the contract-signing table in the center of the ring, Jim Londos is seated on one side and World Champion Nick Bockwinkel is seated on the other side. Behind Bockwinkel is his manager Bobby Heenan and fellow Heenan Family members King Kong Bundy, Ray Stevens, and Ox Baker. Major League Wrestling's (MLW's) owner and general manager Bruno Sammartino is presiding over the contract signing. Sammartino says that after last weeks match between Londos and Bockwinkel that ended in dq when Baker interfered (Baker and the rest of the Heenan Family suddenly try to look confused) he wants a rematch this time in a steel cage at Summer Slam. After Londos and Bockwinkel sign the contract, Sammartino thanks them and leaves. Londos starts to leave when suddenly Heenan orders the entire Heenan Family to attack Londos. Londos starts to get beat down until the Crusher, who also came to the defense of Londos and Curt Hennig from the Heenan Family last week, quickly arrives and chases off the Heenan Family with a bat! The Crusher, already upset at the Heenan Family for Baker's interference that caused him to lose in the First Round of the Intercontinental Championship Tournament earlier tonight, unsuccessfully challenges the retreating Heenan family to return to the ring.
First Round of the Intercontinental Championship Tournament continues \
Bobo Brazil vs Don Muraco
Brazil started off the match with authority by giving Muraco a series of forearm smashes followed by big hammer punch and then a COCO BUTT- but Muraco was able to avoid this quick attempt at victory by Brazil. Brazil then gave Muraco a bearhug followed by a falling elbow but then missed a dropkick and this allowed Muraco to take over. Although Brazil managed to make a couple of short comebacks, Muraco managed to control most of the remainder of the match and worked on wearing down Brazil by giving him several Asiatic Spikes along with moves that included a series of neckbreakers and over the shoulder backbreakers. The end came when Brazil reversed a surfboard and then gave Muraco a Bobo body slam and then threw him out of the ring. Brazil tried to hit Muraco with a deadly double hammer from the top turnbuckle, but Muraco grabbed an object out of his trunks and hit Brazil with it in mid air right in the chest. Muraco then rolled a downed Brazil into the ring and gave him a HAWAIIAN HAMMER which, along with putting both of his feet on the ropes for extra leverage, allowed him to get the pinfall victory.
Winner: Don Muraco. Muraco advances in the Intercontinental Championship Tournament.
Larry Land
Larry Zbyszko: "Last week on Larry Land I was assaulted by my future Thanksgiving dinner- Koko B. Ware's bird Frankie. I am now going to show you why something like that will never happen to me again."
In comes Cowboy Bob Orton Jr.
Zbyszko: "Cowboy Bob Orton Jr. is going to be my bodyguard both on Larry Land and while I am wrestling in the ring-starting tonight as I take on Mil Mascaras in the final First Round match of the Intercontinental Championship Tournament."
Orton Jr.: "Just keep me in pickup trucks and blue jeans and I will be happy Larry.'
Zbyszko and Orton Jr then leave for the ring for Zbyszko's match vs Mascaras.
Mil Mascaras vs Larry Zbyszko (accompanied by his bodyguard Cowboy Bob Orton Jr).
Zbyszko started off the match by having Orton Jr distract Mascaras and then proceeding to attack Mascaras from behind. Zbyszko twice nearly pinned Mascaras via PILEDRIVERS and repeatedly gave Macaras head slams into the turnbuckle. Mascaras was able to make a comeback and tried to pin Zbyszko with a CROSSBODY ATTACK and then a FLYING BODYPRESS- but both times Zbyszko kicked out. Mascaras continued his assault until he threw Zbyszko out of the ring and went out after him only to be double teamed by both Zbyszko and Orton Jr. Zbyszko then rolled back into the ring and Orton Jr threw Mascaras back in after him. Zbyszko continued to work over Mascaras and appeared trying unsuccessfully to remove one of the top turnbuckle pads. Zbyszko ended up winning by giving Mascaras a spinning back kick followed by a PILEDRIVER.
Winner: Larry Zbyszko. Zbyszko advances in the Intercontinental Championship Tournament.
End of AWA:RAW. Be sure to catch Major League Wrestling's other brand- the NWA- here on this channel (thread) later this week!

Major League Wrestling (MLW) NWA:NITRO Friday 08/11/06 Rose Garden in Portland, OR (First Half of the show)
With just 16 days until Summer Slam on August 27, welcome to this week's edition of NWA:NITRO by Major League Wrestling (MLW)!
Match #1: The Fabulous Kangaroos (managed by Captain Kangaroo-formerly Captain Lou Albano) vs the Armstrongs in a no dq no countout match with the winner getting a title shot vs the World Tag Team Champions Midnight Express at Summer Slam!
The World Tag Team Champions Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton and Stan Lane) and their manager Jim Cornette came down to help provide color commentary for this #1 contender's match.
The Armstrongs started off this opening match firmly in control and "Bullet" Bob Armstrong almost picked a quick victory by nearly making Al Costello submit to his SLEEPER. But the Kangaroos battled back and gradually wore down the Armstrongs with moves such as the Kangaroo Kick, the Crocodile Smash, and multiple body block catapults. Although the momentum shifted several times, the Kangaroos did proceed to control the majority of the match from this point on. The Kangaroos apparently had Brad Armstrong pinned via their BOOMERANG finisher but "Bullet" Bob was just able to make the pin save. Brad Armstrong continued to hold out for awhile but became distracted by Captain Kangaroo and Roy Heffernan then rolled him up for the pin.
Winners: Fabulous Kangaroos. The Fabulous Kangaroos have won the right to challenge the World Tag Team Champions Midnight Express in a best 2 out of 3 falls match at Summer Slam!
After the match, Captain Kangaroo looked over at the announcer's table to the Midnight Express and Jim Cornette and said he did not want to wait for Summer Slam and challenged them to a singles match with Roy Heffernan wrestling any member of the Midnight Express next week on NWA:NITRO. Cornette (smiling) said sure, next week it will be Roy Heffernan vs a member of the Midnight Express in singles competition. Heffernan said he'll prepare for either Eaton or Lane because he wants to give them a preview of what is going to happen at Summer Slam.
Match #2: Richard Hutton vs Bob Orton Sr.
Before this match began, footage was shown of last week's attack backstage in which Hutton was severely choked from behind by a rope from Orton Sr who blamed Hutton for the demise of the Regulators in which Hutton's partner was Orton's son Cowboy Bob Orton Jr who has since been drafted to the AWA brand of Major League Wrestling.
Orton Sr started off in command but this match soon turned violent as the action turned to the outside of the ring where Orton Sr strongly smashed Hutton's head into a steel ring post. Hutton finally countered and took control and seemed determined to exact revenge on Orton Sr for ambushing and choking him last week. Hutton proceeded to win the match via an atomic drop. As Hutton made his way to the back, Orton Sr stood up and screamed at him and it appears this will not be the last battle between these two!
Winner: Richard Hutton
Match #3: Dan Severn vs Harley Race
This is a rematch from the MLW Championship tournament two weeks ago in which Severn defeated Race by dq.
Severn started off on the offensive. But after a few moves, Race was able to reverse a head and arm throw by Severn and took control of the match. A few moves later, Race scored the pinfall victory via his PILEDRIVER. Race still has not been pinned or made to submit since being drafted to the NWA brand of Major League Wrestling (MLW) last month!
Winner: Harley Race
Backstage: MLW chairman Bruno Sammartino is talking to Phantasy (of COTG) and her new tag team the Barroom Heroes (Sandman and Justin Credible).
Sammartino: "Phantasy, I have granted your request for you and the Barroom Heroes to wrestle Cassandra (of COTG) and the MLW Tag Team Champions the Heart Thrashers (Beefcake and Bagwell) of the AWA brand at Summer Slam."
Sammartino: "However, although it will be an inter-promotional match with you representing the NWA brand and the Heart Thrashers representing the AWA brand, it will NOT be an inter-gender match. Instead it will be a mixed tag match in which the men can only wrestle the men and the women can only wrestle the women. I got enough bad reactions from Buddy Rogers's domino comment last week to Maxine Babe."
Satisfied, Phantasy and the Barroom Heroes leave Sammartino's office but the Horsemen come charging in.
Rogers (irate and pointing a finger in Sammartino's face): "Bruno Sammartino, we refuse to wrestle in the main event tonight in a match refereed by your freak spokesman Splatter!"
Sammartino: Buddy Rogers, you and the Horsemen will do what I say. You are just lucky I did not suspend you and take away both your MLW Championship and your United States Championship last week for your actions with Maxine Babe."
Sammartino: "Now the reason I called you in here is I have been informed tonight you are going to reveal the identity of the Fourth Horsemen. It must be somebody already here on the roster of the NWA brand because I have not approved of any new contracts."
Rogers: "Tonight, but only at the time we decide, the Horsemen will show the world who the Fourth Horsemen is. You think we are dominant now? Just wait until the Fourth Horsemen come together tonight and then nobody, including you Sammartino, will be able to stop us! Whooooo!"
Match #4: Hardcore Hodge vs Steve Corino in a Falls Count Anywhere Match. Match #1 of their best of 7 series.
This is the opening match of the series between Hardcore (Danny) Hodge and Steve Corino to determine just which one of them is the better hardcore and old school wrestler!
Corino started things off by slapping Hodge in the face and then trying to chop him in the chest. But Hodge dodged out of the way and placed Corino in a Hodge Headlock. Hodge later threw Corino out of the ring and went after him but Corino surprised Hodge by smashing him with a folding chair. Corino then went for the pinfall on the floor, but Hodge kicked out. Corino then slammed Hodge into the announcer's table and then into a steel ring post before throwing him back into the ring where a few moves later he picked up the victory via OLD SCHOOL EXPULSION. Corino is now up 1-0 in the best of 7 series. But it is Hodge's turn to pick the match for nest week and Hodge chooses a ladder match!
Winner: Steve Corino. Corino leads the series 1-0.
End of the First Half of the Show. The Second Half will be posted next and will include Hawk vs Bruiser Brody, Ivan Koloff and the Terrible Turk on the Hot Seat, and the 6 man tag team main event match with Frank Gotch, Diamond Dallas Page, and Giant Baba wrestling the Horsemen: MLW Champion and United States Champion Buddy Rogers and the United States Tag Team Champions the Valentines with Splatter as the guest referee! Also, Buddy Rogers has promised that the identity of the Fourth Horsemen will be revealed!

Major League Wrestling (MLW) NWA:NITRO Friday 08/11/06 Rose Garden in Portland, OR (Second Half of the show, First Half is posted above)
Match #5: Hawk (accompanied by Animal) vs Bruiser Brody (accompanied by Steve Williams and managed by Killer Kowalski)
This match features half of the competitors of the Road Warriors vs Bruiser Brody and Steve Williams tag team match set for Summer Slam!
Hawk started going right after Brody by hitting the big man with a forearm pummel followed by 2 boots to the face, a dropkick, a gut wrench suplex, a gorilla slam, and then a FLYING CLOTHESLINE- but Brody managed to kick out. After yelling at his and Animal's former manager Kowalski, Hawk continued his offensive against Brody until Brody finally managed to block a hip toss and and then leveled Hawk with a twisting vertical suplex. As Hawk started to regroup, Brody nailed him with a JUMPING KNEE SMASH for the victory. Next week, Animal will wrestle Steve Williams in singles competition!
Winner: Bruiser Brody
The Hot Seat: This week's guests are Ivan Koloff and the Terrible Turk
Bill Apter: "Ivan Koloff, although you have been here for a few weeks now, I want to take this opportunity formally to welcome you to Major League Wrestling (MLW). Were you surprised that MLW Chairmen Bruno Sammartino, who was your enemy back when you both wrestled in the Northeast Territory, agreed to let you sign with Major League Wrestling?"
Koloff: "No I am not surprised. Bruno Sammartino fears the Russian Bear and I know he is only allowing me to compete here because he realizes he can hide behind his retirement and not have to face me in the ring once again."
Koloff: "But I have some footage (tape is being played as Koloff speaks) to show and remind everyone how I, Ivan Koloff, once pinned the legend Bruno Sammartino clean in the middle of the ring at Madison Square Garden to take his title away from him."
Koloff: "I did it then and I could do it now. I think the reason Sammartino left the Northeast Territory to form Major League Wrestling is so he would not have to face me ever again. Sammartino, you are an American coward!"
An angry MLW Chairmen Sammartino storms onto the Hot Seat.
Sammartino: "Ivan Koloff, you might think you can get away with speaking about me like that because I am no longer an active wrestler. But I have news for you. The reason I let you enter Major League Wrestling is so I could prove once and for all that your victory over me at MSG was a fluke. I have one more match in me and at Summer Slam I will come out of retirement for just that night to wrestle you Ivan Koloff and take care of unfinished business!"
(note: I will be using the Bruno Sammartino card from LOW Bootlegs for Sammartino's match vs Ivan Koloff at Summer Slam).
Summer Slam ADD: Sunday August 27. Matches signed so far: 1. Jim Londos vs World Champion Nick Bockwinkel (steel cage) 2. Frank Gotch vs Diamond Dallas Page vs MLW Champion and United States Champion Buddy Rogers in a triple threat two falls match.. The first fall will be for Rogers' United States Championship and the second fall will be for Rogers' MLW Championship 3. Road Warriors vs Bruiser Brody and Steve "Dr. Death" Williams 4. Fabulous Kangaroos vs World Tag Team Champions the Midnight Express in a best 2 out of 3 falls contest 5. MLW Chairmen Bruno Sammartino vs Ivan Koloff 6. Cassandra and MLW Tag Team Champions the Heart Thrashers (Beefcake and Bagwell) vs Phantasy and the Barroom Heroes (Sandman and Justin Credible) in an inter-promotional mixed tag match. 7. Intercontinental Championship Tournament Finals (competitors TBD) 8. More matches still to be determined! MLW spokesman Splatter says: "Major League Wrestling (MLW). Don't you DARE miss it!"
Match #6, the Main Event: Frank Gotch, Diamond Dallas Page (with Maxine Babe), and Giant Baba vs the Horsemen: MLW Champion and United States Champion Buddy Rogers and United States Tag Team Champions the Valentines. Splatter is the guest referee.
Rogers and the Horsemen came out first. Rogers grabbed the microphone.
Rogers: "Diamond Dallas Page, last week on NWA:NITRO you took Maxine Babe and made her your Diamond Doll. Well at Summer Slam, I am going to take you DDP and make you my b***h! The same goes for you Frank Gotch. Whooooooo!"
Gotch, Page (with Maxine Babe) and Baba then came out to start the main event.
Page started off the match with Rogers. Before the two started wrestling, Rogers got into an argument with guest referee Splatter. Rogers then gave Splatter the finger with his left hand and tried to sucker punch him with his right hand. But Splatter blocked the punch and instead nailed Rogers with a powerful forearm that sent "the Nature Boy: falling down on the mat. Page instantly went for the cover and Splatter attempted an extremely fast count but Rogers just kicked out at the 2 15/16 count! Rogers was bale to battle back and had Page down when he tagged in Greg Valentine who instantly went for the win via his FIGURE-FOUR LEGLOCK. But Page refused to submit. Meanwhile, Rogers was on the apron gyrating his hips and talking trash to his former valet Maxine Babe. Greg Valentine tagged in Johnny Valentine who started pummeling Page until Page suddenly came back with a DIAMOND CUTTER. Johnny Valentine kicked out and Page then tagged in Gotch who immediately hit Johnny Valentine with a rolling kneebar and then his GOTCH TOEHOLD- but Greg Valentine made the save. The action in this 6 man melee shifted back and forth for about another 10 minutes until it came down to Baba in the ring with Rogers. Rogers managed to throw Baba out of the ring and then instantly signaled for the Valentines to start a brawl with Gotch and Page that forced guest referee Splatter to concentrate on breaking up. Meanwhile, Maxine Babe was trying to assist Baba back into the ring when, out of nowhere, Harley Race suddenly appeared and strongly smashed a steel chair against the head of Baba who crumpled to the concrete floor. As Gotch and Page continued their brawl with the Valentines, Rogers then instantly alerted Splatter about Baba, the legal man for his team, still being outside of the ring. Although he counted slowly, Splatter was forced to count out Baba and award the victory to the Horsemen.
Winners: The Horsemen: MLW Champion and United States Champion Buddy Rogers and United States Tag Team Champions the Valentines by countout.
Race then climbs into the ring where he, Rogers, and the Valentines together give the four-fingered hand sign and now it is instantly clear to everyone: Harley Race is the Fourth Horsemen! What ramifications will this have for the rest of the NWA brand of Major League Wrestling? As Buddy Rogers, with his two titles draped around his shoulders, and the rest of the Horsemen celebrate their victory, the show ends and the screen fades to black.

It is time for the weekly "B" shows of Major League Wrestling's's AWA and NWA brands!
Major League Wrestling (MLW) AWA:Action (my "B" show for MLW's AWA brand) Saturday 08/12/06
Match #1: Koko B. Ware vs Iron Mike DiBiase
Koko B. Ware comes out to the song "Piledriver" with his bird Frankie. The announcers comment that it was an attack by Frankie upon Larry Zbyszko on a recent edition of Larry Land that caused Zbyszko to hire Cowboy Bob Orton Jr as his bodyguard. Although Iron Mike DiBiase put up a good fight, Ware eventually won the match via his GHOSTBUSTER.
Winner: Koko B. Ware
Match #2: Playboy Buddy Rose vs the Missing Link
As fan-favorite Rose made his way out to the crowd and the adulation of the ladies in attendance, the announcers mentioned that the Missing Link, until being drafted into MLW's AWA brand, used to be a member of Killer Kowalski's Dungeon of Doom whose members are now Bruiser Brody and Steve Williams and who are scheduled to wrestle the Road Warriors at Summer Slam.
This match was dominated by the Missing Link as he quickly threw Rose out of the ring and then got away with hitting Rose with a wild chair shot. The Missing Link threw Rose back into the ring but soon threw him back out and then performed a cross body-block that almost caused Rose to get counted out. As Rose made his way back into the ring, he was immediately hit with a BACK FLYING HEADBUTT but managed to kick out of a resulting pin attempt. But the Missing Link responded immediately with an atomic drop and this time secured the three count.
Winner: Missing Link
Match #3: S.D. Jones vs Red Bastien
In a good match between two fan favorites, Bastien (who used to team with Billy "Red" Lyons as the Flying Redheads until he and Lyons were drafted into separate brands of Major League Wrestling) ended up winning by pinfall via an ATOMIC DROP.
Major League Wrestling (MLW) now presents the AWA:RAW REPLAY: The footage shows the contract signing that took place this past week on AWA:RAW between Jim Londos and World Champion Nick Bockwinkel for their main event steel cage title match at Summer Slam. The footage continues to show how, after the contract is signed, Bockwinkel's manager Bobby Heenan ordered the Heenan Family to attack Londos. But before Londos could get seriously injured, the Crusher arrived on the scene and chased the Heenan Family away with a bat.
Match #4: Yukon Eric and Cousin Luke vs Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff (managed by Nikita Breznikov)
Former United States Tag Team Champions, the Iron Sheik and Volkoff entered the match with the greater experience as a tag team and it seemed to helped them as they managed to isolate Cousin Luke whom, following several kicks with a loaded boot, the Iron Sheik made tap out to the CAMEL CLUTCH. Afterward, the Iron Sheik got on the microphone and said the same fate awaited Hacksaw Jim Duggan.
Winners: Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff
More matches still to be announced! MLW spokesman Splatter says: "Major League Wrestling (MLW). Don't you DARE miss it!"
Match #5, the Main Event: Curt Hennig vs Gorgeous George
The announcers remark that Curt's father Larry is still on the injured list due to an assault by the Heenan Family and that the Double Axe Attack still have an issue to resolve with Bobby Heenan and his men!
Although George managed several good offensive series and once almost pinned Hennig via an airplane spin, Hennig won this match via his HENNIG PLEX.
Winner: Curt Hennig
Now it is time for NWA:ANIMOSITY- the "B" show for MLW's NWA brand that is regularly shown each Saturday following the AWA brand's "B" show-AWA:Action
Major League Wrestling (MLW) NWA:Animosity (my "B" show for MLW's NWA brand) Saturday 08/12/06
Match #1: Virgil vs Dennis Condrey
Condrey controlled almost the entire match and won via his FACE FIRST LEG SWEEP.
Winner: Dennis Condrey
Ina addition to Condrey, other newcomers to MLW include Ivan Koloff and the Terrible Turk and footage is now shown of last week's edition of the Hot Seat where Koloff and the Turk were the guests and Koloff proceeded to berate MLW Chairman Bruno Sammartino by reminding everyone how he managed to defeat Sammartino clean in the center of the ring at Madison Square Garden back when both of them wrestled in the Northeast Territory. The footage continues to show how an angry Sammartino arrived at the Hot Seat and said he would come out of retirement for one match to face Koloff at Summer Slam!
Match #2: Billy "Red" Lyons vs "Precious" Paul Ellering
Lyons, without having to exert much effort, quickly defeated Ellering via his FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK.
Winner: Billy "Red" Lyons
Major League Wrestling (MLW) now presents the NWA:NITRO Slam of the Week:
The footage shows the main event from this week's edition of NWA:NITRO in which Frank Gotch, Diamond Dallas Page, and Giant Baba, wrestled the Horsemen: MLW Champion and United States Champion Buddy Rogers and the United States Tag Team Champions the Valentines in a 6 man tag team match with MLW spokesman Splatter as the guest referee. The footage show how late in the match Giant Baba is thrown outside of the ring and then, out of nowhere, Harley Race appears and proceeds to smash Baba with a steel chair that leads to a countout victory for Rogers and the Valentines. Race then entered the ring and, along with Rogers and the Valentines, gave the four fingered hand sign to confirm that he is indeed the Fourth Horsemen!
Match #3: Johnny Valiant vs Ted DiBiase
In a great match filled with fast paced action that saw the momentum shift back and forth, the end came when DiBiase hit Valiant with a spinning neckbreaker immediately followed by his FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. Valiant refused to submit, but DiBiase finished him of via his LOADED GLOVE.
Winner: Ted DiBiase
Summer Slam add The same add for MLW"s Summer Slam that was shown on AWA:ACTION earlier in this thread is shown once again.
Match #4, the Main Event: Boogie Woogie Man vs Rick Rude
At the start of the match, Rude mocked the Boogie Woogie Man but it was the Boogie Woogie Man that actually controlled most of the match. The action finally spilled to the outside of the ring where Rude, possibly to avoid a defeat, slammed the Boogie Woogie Man's head into a steel pole to get dqd.
Winner: Boogie Woogie Man by dq.
Be sure to join us at Major League Wrestling (MLW) on both Thursday for the next edition of AWA:RAW and then on Friday for the next edition of NWA:NITRO! And remember Summer Slam presented by Major League Wrestling is only 15 days away!
Show ends as screen fades to black.

Hmmmm...I don't see Harley playing the role of Tully Blanchard for long. Look out Mr. Rogers...someone is going to be gunning for you and your belts!!! And we all know Greg Valentine's rep anyways!!! Looks like ol' Bruno is out to exact some revenge from the past. Hey Bruno, just don't make it like Hogan in WCW and pick up those wins that people got over you while in the WWF!!! jk As always...very fun card! Since I"m a Condrey fan, nice to see him pick up a win...even over Virgil!!!

I was thinking the same thing, Trav(z?). Race could be using this opportunity to get close to the belt. Learn Rogers' weaknesses!

I agree, Rogers and Race could only implode the infrastructure of the Horseman and when it happens it is going to be a feud that will put butts in seats and money in the bank! Cha-Ching!

Major League Wrestling (MLW) AWA:RAW Preview for Thursday 08/17/06 @ Lawlor Events Center in Reno, NV
This week on AWA:RAW of Major League Wrestling, Jim Londos will wrestle King Kong Bundy of the Heenan Family. Londos is only a week and a half away from his steel cage match at Summer Slam against Bundy's fellow Heenan Family member World Champion Nick Bockwinkel. Will Bockwinkel make an appearance at ringside in this week's main event?
In addition, the Semi Finals of the Intercontinental Championship Tournament will take place with Antonino Rocca wrestling Ray Stevens and Don Muraco wrestling Larry Zbyszko. The winners of these two matches will compete against each other in the ring of the Intercontinental Championship Tournamnet Finals at Summer Slam to become the first-ever Intercontinental Champion of Major League Wrestling!
In addition, Hacksaw Jim Duggan will finally get the chance to wrestle his enemy the Iron Sheik and the Killer Bees and the Vachons will compete in a no dq and no countout with the winner taking on MLW Tag Team Champions the Heart Thrashers the following week on AWA:RAW!
Finally, will the AWA brand of Major League Wrestling this week announce any more matches for Summer Slam?
And now for this week's preview for the main show of Major League Wrestling's other brand- the NWA!
Major League Wrestling (MLW) NWA:NITRO Preview for Friday 09/18/06 @ SaveMart Center in Fresno, CA
This week on NWA:NITRO, the main event will feature Frank Gotch vs MLW Champion and United States Champion Buddy Rogers in a non-title match that will serve as a preview for the triple threat two falls match between Rogers, Gotch, and Diamond Dallas Page at Summer Slam in which the first fall will be for Rogers' United States Championship and the second fall will be for Rogers' MLW Championship. Page will accompany Gotch to the ring this week in his match vs Rogers.
Speaking of Rogers, he and the rest of the Horsemen shocked the wrestling world last week on NWA:NITRO when it was revealed that Harley Race was the member of the Fourth Horsemen! Race publicly identified himself as a Horsemen by suddenly appearing at ringside and slamming a steel chair against the head of Giant Baba which led to a countout victory for Rogers and the Valentines over their opponents Gotch, Page, and Baba. MLW Chairman Bruno Sammartino responded this week by adding another match at Summer Slam that will allow Giant Baba a chance at revenge: Giant Baba vs Harley Race. Race's decision to join the Horsemen is shocking since he is pursuing a championship and Rogers of the Horsemen is already the MLW Champion and the United States Champion. Perhaps, more will be explained this week as Race himself will be the guest on the Hot Seat!
In addition, one week after Bruiser Brody defeated Hawk, Animal will wrestle Steve Williams in singles competition as the Road Warriors get set to wrestle Killer Kowalski's new Dungeon of Doom members Brody and Williams at Summer Slam!
Also, the Fabulous Kangaroos defeated the Armstrongs last week to win the right to challenge the World Tag Team Champions Midnight Express at Summer Slam in a best 2 out of 3 falls match. In preparation for their match at Summer Slam, the Fabulous Kangaroos got the Midnight Express to agree to a singles match this week in which Roy Heffernan will wrestle "a member" of the Midnight Express this week on NWA:NITRO. But will Heffernan wrestle Bobby Eaton or Stan Lane?
Finally, Ivan Koloff, who last week provoked Sammartino in coming out of retirement for just 1 more match against him at Summer Slam as a chance to demonstrate the real winner of their feud back when they were both in the Northeast Territory, will wrestle Billy "Red" Lyons and Hardcore Hodge and Steve Corino will compete in match #2- a ladder match- of their best of 7 series to determine who is the better old school and hardcore combo style wrestle.
All this and more on this week's edition of NWA:NITRO!
