Interesting about the friends N foe title. Since I revamped my LWF, there are many more heels than faces. Nick Gulas, of the old Tennessee area, used to run "Battle of the Brutes" cards where he would place two heel teams against one another.
Good idea WISM

mft, The funny thing about that Friends 'N Foes card is that it was really an accident, but went with it since I noticed a few unusual pairings. The opener could have been considered the same thing, but who cares about two masked journeymen, LOL! (Nikita B = Moscow Assassin and Blue Demon = Astro Turk). However, I may give Mr. Turk a new gimmick, but it is corny (so watch for it!)...Thanks for reading.

LWA at Portland, ME (Battlezone TV-Episode 3) Televised matches: Bobby Eaton and Dennis Condrey (with Jim Cornette) b. George South and SD Jones, COR. George South’s LWA debut spoiled by the Midnights and to make matters worse the Express jumped both men before the ring announcements!
Black Bart b. The Crusher, DQ. Crusher’s temper get’s the better of him as he wanted to send a message to the Heenan Family, Ivan Koloff or any other turkey who thought he could push people around in the LWA!
A taped interview with Bill Apter questioning King Kong Bundy and Larry Sharpe about their recent title match in Houston. Sharpe led off warning all LWA competitiors that Bundy is just the first of a “monstrous” influx of talent that he will be leading. Bundy says the Houston match will not deter him from capturing gold from Heenan’s puppet, Nick Bockwinkel and was tired of playing second-fiddle to a bunch of “pencil-necked has-beens”. Sharpe ended the segment alerting Apter to look for another addition to Sharpe’s new group.
Ivan Koloff b. Don Leo Jonathan, COR. Another controversial finish on this episode as Koloff says this is how he handles goons like the Jonathan and the Crusher. The Crusher did come out, but was separated by security before he and the Russian Bear could come to blows.
Dock Hutton b. Moscow Assassin, Oklahoma side roll. Hutton announced he is no longer associated with Sherri Martel and Buddy Rose and is trying to work his way into title contention. Imagine a showdown between these two for the IC title!
Superfly Snuka b. Virgil, powerslam. Virgil had Snuka in trouble but could not finish off the former LWA Triple Crown winner. Before the TV main event, Sharpe was caught on-camera speaking with Virgil about this loss. When cameras zoomed-in, Sharpe covered the lens with his hands and went behind closed doors with Virgil.
LWA Tag-Title Match: Champions Fabulous Kangaroos b. Flying Redheads, MARBLE BOR LEG LOCK on Lyons. The Reds had the Kangaroos finished off as time was running out, but the resourceful champs rallied late and used the Redheads high-risk offense to their advantage. The Redheads were more reckless due to the time-limit expiring. Fans would love to see a best-of-three falls for the gold.
Dark Matches: Ace Orton b. Bob Armstrong, SUPERPLEX. Armstrong’s battles against Grand Wizard’s team of Muraco and Orton are hard-fought, but “The Bullet” has been coming on the short end of the decisions. Perhaps he needs help, but who?
Main Event, Manager’s Challenge: King Kong Bundy and Larry Sharpe b. Bobby Heenan and Nick Bockwinkel, 2 PILEDRIVERS and an AVALANCHE on Heenan. Crippler Stevens was an ally for the Heenan Family while Virgil cornered Bundy and Sharpe, tipping the crowd to the newest wrestler under Sharpe’s guidance!

LWA-PPW Draft Lottery Challenge at Wilkes-Barre, PA - Special Live Weekend Edition of Battlezone TV, Episode 4 Bill Apter began the night in the ring and announced a talent exchange agreement between the PPW (Hardcore) and LWA (Battlezone) has been complete. As a result of this agreement a series of matches is scheduled for tonight with a representative from each organization facing each other in a match. The winner of the match will be awarded an immediate draft selection with names chosen from the losing organization at random. Without further adieu, let’s go down to ringside for our first match…
Clash of Champions #1: LWA Champion Nick Bockwinkel (with Bobby Heenan) b. PPW Champion Rick Rude (with the Dark Menace), COR. The top two champions in the world of wrestling square off in the lead match of the challenge, but an early flurry of action outside the ring led to a disappointing result. Battlezone selection: Buff Bagwell.
Hardcore Tag Team Match: (Hardcore - HC) Sabu and The Sandman b. (Battlezone -BZ) Chris Candido and Dan Severn. Wild match between PPW alumni Candido and Severn fell to PPW perennials Sabu and Sandman were too wild to tame. Hardcore selection: Ilio Dipaulo
Battle of the Big-Hitters: (HC) Bruiser Brody b. (BZ) King Kong Bundy, JUMPING KNEE DROP. Another hard-fought contest Battlezone Selection: The Russian Front
Tag-Team Battle of Former Champions: (HC) Ox Baker and Diamond Dallas Page b. (BZ) Superfly Snuka and Curt Hennig, HEART PUNCH on Hennig. Hardcore Selection: Sherri Martel
Battle of the Up & Comers: (BZ) Larry Sharpe b. George South, knee drop. Sharpe wins a close match. Battlezone Selection: Bobo Brazil
Clash of Champions #2: (BZ) IC Champion Buddy Rose b. (HC) TV Champion Stan Lane, BOMBS AWAY. Rose did not have Sherri Martel due to an earlier draft selection, but still prevailed in this battle of “secondary” champions. Battlezone Selection: Brutus Beefcake
Clash of Champions #3: (HC) PPW Tag-Champions Steve Williams and Ted Dibiase b. (BZ) LWA Champions Fabulous Kangaroos (with Red Berry), Dibiase FIGURE-FOUR on Costello. These teams have fought before with each team winning one match, but the Hardcore champs win the rubber match. Hardcore Selection: Virgil
Cruiserweight Challenge: (BZ) Koko Ware b. (HC) Savage-T, COR. Battlezone Selection: George South
Final Challenge, double-selection 14-man battle royal with winner receiving two draft picks! Representing Battlezone: Yukon Eric, Crusher, Argentina Rocca, Don Muraco, Don Leo Jonathan, Ivan Koloff and George Hackenschmidt. Representing Hardcore: Konnan, Jim Duggan, Larry Zbyzsko, Steve Corino, Justin Credible, Missing Link and The Sheik!
A good old, fashioned donnybrook concluded the evening with the Battlezone crew nearly eliminating the Hardcores, mainly due to Ivan Koloff tossing out Duggan, Larry Legend and Missing Link. Justin Credible surprised the Russian Bear and only 7 people remained: Credible and Sheik for Hardcore and Crusher, Yukon Eric, Don Muraco, Hackenschmidt and Don Leo Jonathan for Battlezone. Muraco was tossed by Don Leo Jonathan and Crusher tossed Credible to bring it down to a 4-on-1. The Sheik stopped his out of ring assault on Jim Duggan enough to toss Crusher and then Yukon Eric over the ropes. Hackenschmidt attacked the Sheik, but the Syrian backdropped the Russian to the arena floor, leaving The Sheik to face Jonathan. The two legends locked up and Sheik actually gained the advantage and used a FIREBALL to blind Jonathan, which helped him eliminate him from the battle royal. The Sheik won the battle royal but did not even realize how important the victory was and continued to frighten ringsiders and officials with his bizarre behavior.
Battle Royal Winner: (HC) The Sheik Hardcore Selections: Harley Race and Don Leo Jonathan. Upon the announcement Jonathan, still blinded from the fire attack, challenged the Sheik to a match! Don Leo wanted to get his hands on him, but officials blocked the two from fighting as Battlezone went off the air. Stay tuned for results of the supplemental draft as 6 picks remain (3 each for Hardcore and Battlezone).
LWA at Ottawa, ONT Supplemental draft results: Virgil and George South exchanged places as Larry Sharpe used his attorney Sam “Small Print” Lynam to find a technicality that reverted these two men back to their original brands using a draft pick from each company. The basis of this loophole is that neither man was under proper contracts (Virgil did not sign Sharpe as a manager until before the draft and South had a temporary contract with the Hardcore group. The last two picks went as follows:
Battlezone 1: Jim Duggan Hardcore 1: Jimmy Snuka Battlezone 2: Ida Mae Martinez Hardcore 2: Butcher Vachon
Bill Apter discussed the new rosters and managerial lineups for LWA and the PPW: LWA Champion: Nick Bockwinkel IC Champion: Chris Candido Tag-Champions: Fabulous Kangaroos
Heenan Family: Bobby Heenan, Nick Bockwinkel (ch), Crippler Stevens, Buddy Rose, Brutus Beefcake and Greg Valentine.
Monster Factory: Larry Sharpe, King Kong Bundy, Virgil, Candido and Tammy
Lou Albano: Ivan Koloff, Iron Sheik
Red Berry: Costello and Heffernan (tag ch)
Grand Wizard: Don Muraco and Ace Orton
Others: Yukon Eric Crusher Koko B. Ware Jim Duggan Curt Hennig SD Jones Dock Hutton Jimmy Valiant Cousin Luke Argentina Rocca Red Lyons Red Bastien Danny Hodge Bullet Bob Armstrong Larry Hennig Buff Bagwell Bobo Brazil Mad Dog Vachon Dan Severn George Hackenschmidt

Dark Alliance: Dark Menace, Rick Rude (ch), Larry Zbyzsko, Dark Patriot, Harley Race and hired gun Ox Baker

Sherri’s Stud Stable: Sherri Martel, Stan Lane (tv ch), Konnan, Justin Credible and Steve Corino
Abdullah Farouk: The Sheik
Jim Cornette: Bobby Eaton and Dennis Condrey.
Polar Force: The Russian Front and Chopper Mattock
Others: Jimmy Snuka Diamond Dallas Page Sabu Ilio Dipaulo Bruiser Brody Sandman Ted Dibiase (tag ch) Steve Williams (tag ch) George South Savage T Danny Doring Vanity with Sweet Thing Don Leo Jonathan Brad Armstrong Killer Kowalski Johnny Valiant Ida Mae Antonio Inoki Giant Baba Rikidozan Road Warriors
Larry Hennig b. Blue Devil, The Ax powers out of a crab and bodyslams Devil for the win
Midnight Express (Eaton & Condrey w/Jim Cornette) b. Jimmy Valiant and Cousin Luke, DQ. Luke was unusually aggressive and roughed up the Express causing a DQ. Maybe one of his allies Yukon Eric’s aggressive attitude is rubbing off on him.
Mike Dibiase and Crippler Stevens, Draw. Both men had the match won when the ref was knocked out, but neither could regain the advantage when he revived. This is beginning to look like a good rivalry.
Masked Superstar b. Yukon Eric, Superstar used a SPINNING NECKBREAKER following a head butt (after Superstar “adjusted” his mask).
George Hackenschmidt b. Curt Hennig, wristlock suplex.
Ivan Koloff b. Danny Hodge, Koloff attacked Hodge with a chain and used the RUSSIAN BEAR HUG to beat the unconscious All-American.
Top Contenders Match: Argentina Rocca b. Don Muraco, DQ when Muraco punched the referee. Wild match!
King Challenge: Harley Race b. Jim Duggan, Race needed 3 PILEDRIVERS to overcome the gutty performance by Duggan. Duggan has long been a favorite with his heart and determination.
Steel Cage for Intercontinental Title: Chris Candido b. Champion Buddy Rose after a BLONDE BOMB allowed Candido to leave the cage and win his 1st IC Title!! Candido’s celebration with Tammy was short-lived as Rose attacked the new champion viciously injuring his shoulder and mangling the title belt in the process. LWA officials have promised to comment on the situation on the next Battlezone episode.

LWA at Manchester, NH Battlezone TV (three episodes)
Episode 5: Buff Bagwell b. Koko Ware, swinging neckbreaker. Bagwell makes his return to the LWA in a solid match.
LWA Officals held a press conference updating the Intercontinental Championship situation regarding Chris Candido and Buddy Rose vicious attack. A spokesperson declared the title is in jeopardy as Chris Candido has not been cleared to wrestle by Association doctors. Candido arrived on the scene with appropriate paperwork, but LWA officials conceded to let him wrestle a non-title match tonight. However, immediately following the match physicians will determine if he will continue to get clearance. Candido agreed and began preparing for his match. Due to Rose destroying the Intercontinental Title, the original championship belt is being used until a new one is created.
Non-Title: IC Champion Chris Candido b. SD Jones, DQ. Buddy Rose interfered against Candido and targeted the injured shoulder. SD Jones prevented more damage and security was able to pull away Rose to the locker room. Before heading to commercials, the announcers stated that LWA Officials are preparing to release a statement regarding this entire situation regarding Candido, Rose and the Intercontinental Title!
Ivan Koloff (with Lou Albano) b. Crusher, DQ. Crusher went berserk again, attacking Koloff and Albano viciously. After things settled for a moment, Albano grabbed the mike and yelled “Since you are so anxious to get your hands on me, I challenge you to a tag-team match with me and Ivan versus you and whoever is dumb enough to face us”! Crusher agreed.
LWA Officials held a press conference and announced that Buddy Rose has been suspended due to his attack on Chris Candido and damaging official Association property. The length of the suspension is 7 cards. Unfortunately, Rose’s attack on Candido has aggravated the injury and no longer has medical clearance to wrestle! LWA officials have organized a tournament to determine a new Intercontinental Champion. The first quarterfinal match will be this episode, between Don Muraco and rival Bullet Bob Armstrong! The winner of this match will face the victor between two tough mat wrestlers, Dock Hutton and Dan Severn. The other bracket features rivals Mike Dibiase and Crippler Stevens facing off with the winner squaring off against whoever wins this “fan favorite” matchup of Jim Duggan versus Curt Hennig!
Intercontinental Title Quarterfinals 1: Don Muraco b. Bullet Bob Armstrong. HAWAIIAN HAMMER after a wild, out of the ring brawl. Gutty performance by Armstrong as he refused to lose after being bloodied up by Muraco. Muraco advances to the semifinals…
LWA Tag-Team Championship, Best-Of-Three Falls, Television Time remaining: Flying Redheads b. Champions Fabulous Kangaroos 1 fall to 0. The Redheads won the match but did not win the belts as time expired as Bastien had Costello pinned with a flying head scissors when the bell rang. Bastien captured the first fall using the Boston Crab against Heffernan. These two teams are participating in some classic encounters, but need more time against each other….
Battlezone, Episode 6 The announcers teased a match for the upcoming Supercard in Baltimore, Maryland: LWA present the Baltimore BASH!! The city of Baltimore has a rich, wrestling history and LWA will continue this tradition with this event. A match has been signed for this card and will be announced later in the program.
6-man elimination match: Nick Bockwinkel, Crippler Stevens and Bobby Heenan b. King Kong Bundy, Virgil and Larry Sharpe. Eliminations: Bockwinkel b. Virgil, BOCKWINKEL SLEEPER Bundy b. Heenan, AVALANCHE Bockwinkel b. Bundy, DQ as Virgil got involved outside the ring. Bockwinkel b. Sharpe, FIGURE-FOUR to win the match.
Intercontinental Title Quarterfinals 2: Dan Severn b. Dock Hutton with the WAKIGATAME as both men used awesome counters and crisp mat wrestling in a classic match.
This episode concluded with an announcement of the first match signed for the Baltimore Bash Supercard: LWA officials have recognized that these two teams needed more time and they will get it… A Marathon Match for the Tag-Titles between the Fabulous Kangaroos and the Flying Redheads!!
Battlezone, Episode 7 The episode began with an update on the Baltimore Bash reminding fans about the Marathon Match for the tag-titles and the Bash will also feature King Kong Bundy receiving a rematch against LWA Champion Nick Bockwinkel! More matches will be announced later in the hour as the quarterfinals conclude and we will feature two big tag-team matches!
Intercontinental Title Quarterfinals 3: Mike Dibiase b. Crippler Stevens, DQ
Tag-Team Challenge: Yukon Eric and Larry Hennig vs. Brutus Beefcake and Greg Valentine (with Bobby Heenan). Eric’s war versus the Heenan Family continues as he found another person who has no love lost against Heenan, Larry “The Ax” Hennig.
Intercontinental Title Quarterfinals 4: Jim Duggan b. Curt Hennig, DQ.
Tag-Team Main Event: Ivan Koloff and Lou Albano vs. Crusher and Mad Dog Vachon!! Vachon is revealed to be Crusher’s mystery partner. Albano was livid, but screamed that if Mad Dog is dumb enough to be Crusher’s partner, then he will pay the price.

LWA Baltimore Bash Supercard Dark Match: Koko B. Ware b. Virgil, DQ due to Larry Sharpe interference (Bullet Bob Armstrong versus Buff Bagwell cancelled due to Bagwell missing his airline connection - Match rescheduled for Battlezone TV).
Intercontinental Semifinal 1: Don Muraco b. Dan Severn, DQ for choking Muraco against ropes. Larry Sharpe of all people talked Severn away from the Magnificent One as The Beast was super-aggressive in this match.
Intercontinental Semfinal 2: Jim Duggan b. Mike Dibiase with a shoulderblock and FLYING SPEAR in quick fashion. Duggan and Muraco will face-off for the Intercontinental Title tonight in the Championship Final.
Tag-Team Grudge: Ivan Koloff and Lou Albano b. Crusher and Mad Dog Vachon, Koloff moved away from a turnbuckle charge from Crusher for the pin. Mad Dog walked away from a downed Crusher at the end of the bout.
Marathon Match for Tag-Titles: Flying Redheads b. Champion Fabulous Kangaroos (with Berry) to win the titles. Awesome, awesome action in this one and may be the match of the year due to the dramatics. The Reds took the first two falls by DQ as Heffernan was DQ’d first for using the belts as a weapon on Lyons and then Berry smashed his cane on Bastien in an attempt to inflict damage early. This strategy worked as The Kangaroos rallied to win 3 straight falls, using a BOOMERANG, crocodile smash and STEP OVER TOEHOLD all on Lyons to take the lead 3-2.
Ironically, Heffernan would be involved in all the falls during regulation as the Kangaroos took their 3-2 lead in the waning minutes of the match. However, the Reds rallied and Bastien used his ATOMIC DROP just as time expired to tie the match at 3-3. This is where the controversy began as the Kangaroos and Berry thought they had retained the belts and started to return to the locker room. LWA officials conferred with the referee and the ring announcer. The announcer declared that LWA officials thought that these two teams came so far not to have a definitive winner and mentioned that a 5-minute overtime period would begin and the first team to gain a pinfall would be the champions.
The Kangaroos were livid while the Redheads were ecstatic about their second chance. The Redheads momentum carried over into the OT and Bastien used his ATOMIC DROP on Costello to gain the win and the belts. Costello suffered an injury after the match, probably due to punishment and exhaustion in this grueling encounter. Red Berry announced that the Kangaroos wrestled the OT period under protest. Definite match of the year candidate!
Intercontinental Championship Tournament Final: Don Muraco b. Jim Duggan, DQ, Smash with 2” x4”. LWA officials did not award the title to Muraco as they stated a title can only be won on pinfall or submission. The rules committee will review this match and make a decision on the championship on the next episode of Battlezone TV. LWA Title Match, Best of 3 Falls: Nick Bockwinkel (ch w/ Bobby Heenan) b. King Kong Bundy (w/Larry Sharpe) Bockwinkel captured 2 straight falls with a back suplex in fall one and then a gut wrench to retain the title. The Sharpe-Heenan feud looks to be settled with this outcome.
Announcement of Loser Leaves LWA, Knockout Rules Match: Buddy Rose vs. Chris Candido. This match will take place after Rose’s suspension and Candido’s recovery from injuries. More details to follow on Battlezone TV as announcers covered the History between Rose and Candido and the History of the Hennigs and Yukon Eric versus the Heenan Family while the steel cage was constructed.
Baltimore Battlezone in a Steel Cage! Cousin Luke, The Hennigs, and Yukon Eric vs. Brutus Beefcake, Greg Valentine, Crippler Stevens and Bobby Heenan. Beefcake b. Cousin Luke, studded arm smash Larry Hennig b. Beefcake, body slam Hennig b. Valentine, THE AXE Hennig b. Stevens, body slam on a chair thrown in by Heenan. Stevens was injured as a result. Hennig pummeled Heenan and finished him off with the AXE. The Axe gained revenge on the Brain for ordering a vicious attack months ago injuring The Axe after the Hennigs left the Heenan family. Curt gained revenge with a title victory over Bockwinkel and Larry gained revenge with this victory tonight. Yukon Eric is anxious to get his hands on the Brain… Show ended with the Hennigs and Yukon Eric celebrating in the cage!
LWA Champion: Nick Bockwinkel Tag-Champions: Flying Redheads IC-Champion: Vacant, ruling TBA
NOTES: Stay tuned for the next episode of LWA Battlezone which will recap the entire Bash card and rulings on the IC title.

Binghamton, NY LWA Battlezone TV
Non-televised opening match: Dock Hutton & Mike Dibiase b. Koko Ware & SD Jones, Dibiase TOP ROPE KNEE DROP on Ware. This was an exciting scientific match between two teams vying for tag-title contention. Hutton and Jones exchanged thrilling moves, counters and counter moves in the opening minutes of the match as Jones surprisingly matched Hutton hold-for-hold, but Hutton and Dibiase eventually wore down Jones and Ware in this exciting encounter.
BattleZone TV Opening sequence showed the final mintute of the Marathon Tag-Title Match where the Flying Redheads beat the Fabulous Kangaroos for the titles. Many critics are hailing this as match of the year. Bill Apter from the Wrestling News reports that Al Costello was injured during this match and may derail the Kangaroos from regaining the gold. Wild Red Berry has filed an official protest with the basis of the complaint being that the winning fall occurred during an unsanctioned overtime period. LWA officials may comment on this situation next week, but stated the winning fall was legal.
The announce team runs down the card for Battlezone as Bullet Bob Armstrong faces Buff Bagwell in a match postponed from the Baltimore Bash, while rivals Crusher and Mad Dog Vachon will see singles action against Black Bart and Mr. Astro, respectively. The main event is The Intercontinental Title Tournament Final rematch versus Jim Duggan and Don Muraco. Duggan was DQ’d in Baltimore and LWA Officials deemed that a title must be won by pin or submission and ordered this match to be best-of-three falls. The winner of this match will be champion regardless of how the falls end as they each need to beat their opponents twice!
Bullet Bob Armstong b. Buff Bagwell, DQ. Bagwell brawled heavily outside the ring as Bagwell had an obvious vendetta against the Armstrong family.
Crusher DDQ Black Bart. Bart holds a DQ victory against Crusher and now these two fought to a no-contest in this wild match. Crusher wants to face Black Bart and his sneaky partner Mr. Astro in a NO-DQ tag match with a partner of their choice against him and a mystery partner on the next Battlezone! Bad Storm tried interfering at every opportunity as Bart had trouble matching up with the Crusher.
Mad Dog Vachon b. Mr. Astro, PILEDRIVER.
Highlights of the IC title tournament semifinals and finals from the Baltimore Bash are shown and the ring introductions for the televised main event.
IC Title, Best-of-three falls: Don Muraco b. Jim Duggan to win the Intercontinental Title. Duggan won the first fall by DQ as Muraco used Hacksaw’s 2 x 4 to batter him. Muraco bloodied Duggan with a falling face slam and HAWAIIAN HAMMER to even the match in fall two, but Duggan was too bloody and battered to put up much of a fight in the final stanza. Muraco used the HAMMER again to win the final fall and title. Methodical if not unethical strategy by Muraco helped him capture his first title in LWA!
Bonus TV Rematch: Curt Hennig b. Dan Severn (w/Larry Sharpe), DQ. Severn officially unveiled his new manager and a new mean streak as he was DQ’d for not letting go of the choke sleeper while Hennig reached the ropes. Fans would love to see a rematch as this match was heating up before Severn lost his cool.
Next week on BattleZone TV: Bagwell and Armstrong in a rematch, Hutton and Dibiase versus Ware and Jones in a scientific tag-team encounter, Hennig and Severn in a best-of-3 falls match and Crusher with his mystery partner versus Bad Storm and their surprise partner in what appears to be a NO-DQ Handicap Match. Cousin Luke will also be in action along with more news on the LWA title situation.
Other Non-Televised Bouts: LWA Champion Nick Bockwinkel (w/Bobby Heenan) b. Virgil (w/Larry Sharpe), BOCKWINKEL SLEEPER in a non-title match. Virgil put up a fight, but the crafty champion salted the match away with his precision offense. After the match, Bockwinkel ran down Sharpe’s Monster Factory as he stated that this new group is growing almost as fast as their won/loss records. Sharpe’s new charge Dan Severn rushed the ring to protest, but Bockwinkel and Heenan grabbed the belt and walked to the back, stating that they do not participate in unscheduled brawls.
Tag-Titles: Champions Red Lyons and Red Bastien b. Al Heffernan and Red Berry, (subbing for the injured Al Costello) ATOMIC DROP on Berry. Kangaroos had an immediate rematch clause in their contract, but wanted to postpone the rematch until Costello healed up. LWA officials ordered them to wrestle with a sub or forfeit the match. Red Berry got in the ring with Heffernan and Costello, but was a bit overmatched against the champs.
Battle of the Bullies Match: King Kong Bundy (w/Larry Sharpe) b. Ivan Koloff (w/Lou Albano), DQ. These two vicious grapplers fought a wild contest, but Koloff went too far smashing a chair to try to down Bundy. Sharpe and Albano had a staredown while these two colossal grapplers battered each other. Sharpe has created waves in the short time he has been in the LWA, but needs to be more focused if he plans on capturing any gold.
Main Event, Special Referee – Larry Hennig with special stipulation: If Eric and Luke win against Valentine and Beefcake, Yukon Eric receives 5 minutes with Bobby Heenan!
Brutus Beefcake and Greg Valentine b. Yukon Eric and Cousin Luke, Valentine chops. The Axe helped being the ref and prevented extended double-teaming from Beefcake and Valentine. After removing Brutus from one exchange, Heenan grabbed Luke’s leg while he was punching Valentine. Luke lunged at Heenan opening up Luke to vicious chops from the Hammer ending the contest. Eric pounded the turnbuckles in frustration as he still cannot get his hands on the Brain!
LWA Champion: Nick Bockwinkel Intercontinental Champion: Don Muraco LWA Tag-Champions: Reds’ Bastien & Lyons
