My bad, I did mean to say something. That is surprising, but when I playtested Andre, he did lose, even to a "smaller guy" like Inoki. That makes sense at least, given Inoki's status. Was it a snake eyes roll?

If you add an Ernie Ladd bootleg, you can do the Powers / Ladd vs. Sheik / Firpo greatest heel turn of all-time. Just a suggestion.

Andre scored the win, gaining the pin on Fujinami after a Body Slam. It was a small measure of revenge for the Giant but he's still looking to avenge his loss by squashing Inoki. ****1/4

The Sheik advances to the finals of the NWA World Hwt. Championship tournament.


TEXAS DEATH MATCH!
THUNDERBOLT PATTERSON beat ( CRUSHED ) WILD BULL CURRY******
* Patterson made it 2-0 in his war with the Wild Bull and in convincing fashion I might add. Thunderbolt dominated Curry from bell to bell, never letting up for a second and busting the Wild Bull open before pinning him following a Spine buster. **
** Curry should have never wrestled this match as he was still suffering the effects of the fireball attack from last week by the Sheik.
After the match the Sheik again charged the ring attacked the Wild Bull, stabbing him in the forehead repeatedly with a FORK! 'Flying' Fred ran down to make the save and chase off the lunatic from the far east.

After the match George was clearly upset at his partner for giving up after the beating he himself took and didn't go down. Rose tried to plead his case but George wouldn't hear it and left the ring with his valet Cheri. ***


JOHNNY VALENTINE**** pinned BOB BRAZIL*****
* To the shock and horror of his hometown fans, Bobo was pinned clean after an Atomic Skullcrusher. Bobo had control early but his inability to pin Valentine was the difference and came back to haunt him. ***1/4


AWA WORLD HWT. CHAMPIONSHIP NON-TITLE MATCH
TERRY FUNK**** beat NICK BOCKWINKEL***** ( C ) /w/ Bobby Heenan by DQ
* Awesome match, with momentum swinging back and forth the entire match. Funk had Bockwinkel trapped in his Spinning Toe Hold in the center of the ring and the champ looked close to tapping out. Even though this was a non title bout the Brain was not about to let his man give up and attacked Funk with a steel chair prompting the ref to call for an immediate disqualification. ****

Funk had lost the NWA ( National Wrestling Alliance ) Hwt. Championship earlier in the week to Harley Race.
Also the NWA and the WWWF have both ceased in joint promotion ventures and have cut all ties in any working relationships. The National Wrestling Alliance is also suing over the NWA trademark and name.
