Texas-based promoter Rob Moore of the Legends Wrestling Federation has announced that a third brand has been added to the lineup of developmental territories designed to find qualified wrestlers to add to the main roster of the LWF. Having already started Blacklands Championship Wrestling and International Wrestling, Moore has introduced Superstars of Sports Entertainment. Moore said, "There are plenty of fine athletes under the Sports Entertainment umbrella, which encompasses WWE Raw, Smackdown and ECW, as well as TNA and former WWE Legends. By bringing those wrestlers together to battle for coveted LWF roster spots, we hope to bring more quality competition to the wrestling fans." The first card for SSE took place Tuesday night in Seattle, Washington, and subsequent cards will be held primarily on Tuesday nights.
(From here on out, all three weekly Developmental results will be posted under this thread.)

How do these guys get spots on the main LWF roster?
|
|
|
Post by robmoore on Feb 28, 2007 14:11:03 GMT -5
21 points in five matches. A pin or submission is five points, and a countout or DQ win is three points. Essentially, five straight wins, with at least three clean (pin or sub) wins.
Right now, the closest to a main roster spot is Mike Awesome, currently in International Wrestling. If he gets a clean win Thursday night against Jushin Liger, he gets the next LWF roster spot that opens up and will keep wrestling in International until that spot becomes available. A countout or DQ won't do it; he needs a pinfall or submission.

An emergency meeting of the LWF Board of Directors was convened after midnight on Tuesday night, March 6, 2007, to address what Promoter Rob Moore called an "unacceptable" number of disqualifications and countouts in the three developmental territories (Blacklands, International and Superstars). After a brief discussion, the Board unanimously decided that matches at this level could only be won by pinfall or submission, simplifying the process of determining who gets a spot on the main LWF roster.
Three consecutive losses will earn a wrestler his release, while it will take five consecutive wins to win assignment to the nationally televised programs World Class Championship Wrestling, Wrestling Night In America and World Class Weekend.
Currently, the only wrestler with an immediate chance for promotion is Roadkill of Superstars, who needs a victory over Tatanka on Tuesday, March 13 to cement his position.
The new regulations will go into effect with the Thursday, March 8 International Wrestling card at Odawara Arena in Japan.
