COTG for much the same reason as many others have said...without the original, there would be no bootlegs.
That being said, I do enjoy bootlegs as well. I will not mix bootlegs in with GWF/CPC/aCe. However, bootlegs, especially well done bootlegs, and official LOW cards work beautifully.
Official feds and bootleg feds are both fun for different reasons. I've always enjoyed the CCW, ICOF/SDW, NAWC, and VCW cards. I've also liked Jim's sets and Brandon's cards when and where I can find them. It's so much easier for me to interpret bootleg characters in my own way than it is for me to do with official sets because, and this may seem screwy, I feel like I'm not paying proper homage to Tom, Mark, and Kris if I alter the overlying story in any way.
I will never stop playing and buying COTG. Bootlegs just enhance my enjoyment. ;D
Peace.

Well, can't speak for the other guys, but me personally, I find it interesting what other directions people might wind up taking characters I've created. There are usually at least a few possibilities for each character, but obviously, only one can be taken at any time. Seeing what others choose to do is one way of exploring nuances of each character. Maybe not all are directions I would ever go, but as long as there's a story that makes sense, who am I to argue? So I don't consider it a dis at all. In fact, it shows that people are interested enough in the wrestlers to want to go to the trouble of figuring out new approaches to them. That's cool to me.

I LOVE the COTG. But I have a very nice bootleg fed as well that fills the time between editions for me. If Tom and Co. would get on MY schedule(HA HA)I would NEVER have to wait for editions. But alas they all seem to have lives. Curse the invention of a family...gotta go my wife and kids are calling.

I love bootlegs that are well created and drawn and imagined. I run a bootleg fed that is enjoyable. However it will never compare. COTG!

Hey, as long as the other three are "down-3," you've balanced your card.

this poll saddens me... BOOTLEGS CAN HAPPEN!!!! But the question is 'which is better?' Not 'well I like both.' Gotta pick which is better.
