True. And I do. But I undertsand where the filter and rules are necessary.
And I honestly get why you feel Swarm has been treated unfairly. But if in this case he was warned, i can see why Chris banned him. My own personal feeling is that the fed forum should be a little more lax. But a warning is a warning.

I heard an interesting analogy on the radio the other day. Being neither a smoker or really a cusser, I found it interesting.
50 years ago, people would think nothing of smoking at the ball park, but cussing was looked down upon while there.
Today, you'd be hung if you dared to light up at the ballpark, yet cussing there is accepted as an everyday occurrence there.

Hey and your kids are going to have sex eventually... might as well get them started now! Make sure they're wearing condoms, though...

Hey and your kids are going to have sex eventually... might as well get them started now! Make sure they're wearing condoms, though... That's pretty intense. Don't get me wrong at all. I am in no position to provide parenting tips as I have no want for any of my own currently. But I am a firm believer in the fact that as long as your kids feel comfortable enough to be honest about what they're up to that you should make sure they do so in the safest way possible. Maybe that's the wrong way. Maybe I should tell them sex and swearing is horrible so they can do it ignorantly and in spite of me. Take your pick.

I won't dispute that at all. I didn't get a warning or anything. Though I bet I will soon for both admitting my infraction and stubbornly pointing my finger at the mods. Anyway, I thought I should just throw it out there that I would argue for anyone if this or a similar scenario played out for them.

"I'm in no position to give parenting advice. Here's how it should be" haha okay!
I wasn't really being serious, anyhow. Wasn't even intending to make fun. I like The Punisher, I think he has cool guns. I agree with you that if a kid is going to do something, you should make sure he or she is doing it as safely as possible.
Here's how I see it, and I certainly could be wrong.. not stating anything matter of factly. A child raised with their well-being in mind and with their innocence presevered as best as possible during their formative years will become a more well-adjusted person.
That being said, I don't think any kids visit here. *shrug*

"I'm in no position to give parenting advice. Here's how it should be" haha okay! That was only my opinion. People can do what they want when raising their kids. They are their kids. Except abusing them. Parents who abuse their children should come over to my house so I can return the favor. " I wasn't really being serious, anyhow. Wasn't even intending to make fun. I like The Punisher, I think he has cool guns. Yea I like the whole Anti-Hero vibe. But Batman isn't quite as cool of a posting name. " I agree with you that if a kid is going to do something, you should make sure he or she is doing it as safely as possible. Here's how I see it, and I certainly could be wrong.. not stating anything matter of factly. A child raised with their well-being in mind and with their innocence presevered as best as possible during their formative years will become a more well-adjusted person. Sounds good to me. " That being said, I don't think any kids visit here. *shrug* Our median age is 27 or something like that? We would need some old members to average us to that if there were a 13-year old here.

But I do like Batman more as a character. Seeing him beat down Superman in the Dark Knight Returns is my favorite all-time comic moment.
Oh yeah.. Swarm and all that business! GROWL!

Actually, since the median refers to just the "middle value," if there were a 13-year old you would only need one person older than 27 to bring the median back to 27, rather than "some." The median has nothing to do with averages. You might be thinking of the mean. I'm just saying. Next week we'll discuss the mode, and box plots.

I would say 13 is outside of the necessary 3 standard deviations of the age of any random sample to make it a material number. Although, if we had a 13 year old member and a 27 year old member, the median would be 20. Another 27 year old would make it 27 as would a 28 or 92 year old. Math is one of my specialities. But there's my mistake.

This thread is no longer about Swarm, his forum, the board, the mods, or the rules of the board set forth by the mods. It is now about teen sex, and math. I kind of love it.

The mods and their conditional enforcement of rules blow. (Tie in to teen sex).

Tom produces a PG-13 game. Games aren't rated using the MPAA system. Using the ESRB system (a closer analogue, as it at least rates games), I'd say that CotG is rated E-10, with fantasy violence as a clarifier. Carry on.
