Newhart's all about the corny delivery. He was hilarious in the movie "In & Out."
Can't believe he got mentioned in this thread.

Monty Python could start its own thread : Favorite Python lines.
"Wink wink nudge nudge say no more!"
"Are you insinuating something?"
"Oh, no, no, no, no, no, yes."
"What is it?"
"Well, squire, you've done it."
"Done it?"
"You know. You've....slept....with a lady...."
"Yeeees?"
"What's it like?"
My Favorite Python sketch, which is way too long to quote from out of context here, was the elections with the Silly Party vs. the Sensible Party. That one always got me for some reason. "Have I mentioned that this is the first time I've been on television?"

I used to date a girl who would randomly break out into Monty Python skits at virtually any time without any reason. The Norwegian Blue skit was her favorite. "This is an ex-parrot!" Classic stuff.

Not picking one isn't fair! Following the rules, though, I'm going to go with Bill Cosby. My wife and I can sit down and watch or listen to "Himself" over and over again and never get bored of it. "So I went over to the Burger King ..." Well then I'm not being fair. He is right about Bill Cosby. I grew up listening to "Himself" on *gasp* LP on my parent's recored player. My brothers and I knew that routine in and out. Speaking of that, I need to find the DVD so I can actually SEE what he's doing. Right now, I think Dane Cook is my favorite, although Pablo Francisco, Carlos Mencia, and Frank Caliendo are up there too. Robin Williams and Godfrey also get quoted a lot in our house. A side note for anyone who has seen Frank Caliendo impersonate the Governator: Our son goes to pre-school with a little boy who sounds EXACTLY like that. They were playing on a local playground last spring and he was running around talking to our son, saying, "Where is Connor? Time is running out!" in that voice. It was high comedy. Oh, and they were chasing a bad guy named "NIckelface." Doesn't get much better than that.

Right now, I think Dane Cook is my favorite You know, I sure I'm probably in the minority but this guy is just not funny. I've tried getting into this guy but he has never made me laugh. I gave him another shot the other night. There was one of his specials on HBO, he went into this story about doing a "B & E" (breaking and entering) and it was the most ridiculous story I ever heard. Said he kicked down a front door to a house (yeah, right) and then kicked in a closet door before figuring out he just wanted to kick in a door. Then left and later thought "I should've stolen some s**t." Not believable and not funny at all. He tries to really over exaggerate everything and people think that it's funny, but I just sit there - straight faced. Way overrated and just not funny.

I'm right there with you, Payback. I've listened to a lot of Dane Cook, since they seem to play him and Larry the Cable Guy non-stop on the Sirius comedy channels. Very overrated. But, I have to admit, the previews for that movie he has coming out have made me chuckle.

In UK there are a few Pauline Daniels (from Liverpool) , Bolton's Peter Kay , Wales Owen Money & Pub Landlord Al Murray . But if I had to name only one then I would say Newcastle's "Roy Chubby Brown"

And You let her go? ;D It's really not as cool as one might think ... it was great in the beginning, but after time and time and time again of it, it started to get annoying.
