Soug...I got to see the final three quarters of the game today. While i am by no means an expert on the AFL, (i wouldn't even call myself a novice) i will have to say that it was very exciting!

Even knowing that the Eagles had won i was still hoping that somehow the Swans would pull it out right there at the end. They had all the momentum in the second half and i would almost bet that if they had a couple more minutes they would have been able to pull even or score a goal to get the win!

Now that i know how exciting the game can be, I'll definitely have to see if there is a way to get more coverage here in the States.

Next year the Roos will take it all! (Hey have to stick with my initial pick...although, the Swans definitely earned a measure of my respect for the effort they put out coming up just short...)

He's an interesting thing....there was a major plunge in the betting ring the match would be a draw!! the odds of a draw were 40-1....by the kick off it was 18-1 !!!
did you now if there is a draw...they play again the following week? no over time in our game !
As for the roos....they will be lucky to stay off the bottom of the standings! they will really struggle next year. they have an aging roster....big time!
