I'll go the same....i don't see him getting downgraded.....yet upgrading seems heavy-handed given how good he is already.

Time for Swarm's straight shooter response: I hope everyone who wanted a body shot of him is happy.
I like the drawing but I don't think it's anything great or speaks the volumes of how important a character MONOLITH is like his original does...
I won't be using the new one...or at least the drawing if his stats are far different...if they are the same or even close to the same I won't bother...
It baffled me that fans of a game that requires so much imagination couldn't imagine what the rest of MONOLITH looked like without a new drawing...
That spot could have been saved for someone else imo.

So let me get this straight....and maybe I just wasn't paying attention here....they did a full-body shot picture of Monolith based on it being a big issue with fans?
Who cares? Monolith's original art was flat out awesome. What does seeing the rest of his body matter? That IS sort of a waste of a special edition spot, especially since he just came out last year -- and given we have to wait full years now in between sets, that makes it even worse.
I bought it anyway....but I hope it's not over-tinkered. I'm not convinced full-body Monolith will be better than close-up.

Yeah, that new Monolith drawing is kinda lame.
The upclose shot was awesome. It was unique and the look on his face is awesome.
This new one, the face doesn't look the same and his body doesn't look the way I imagined it.
I won't be using this card unless the starts are vastly different.

It was a bigger issue when the art first came out, but I think it died out after the card was released.

Yeah that would make more sense since he is fairly new. Alot of older guys that they could have used an update or refreshed card. |

How about if next year at G-con Kevin Knipe does a color Monolith card. Then we'd have 3 G-cons in a row with a Monolith card.

I am going with the thought that the card will be a slight upgrade. Perhaps something like the chance of missing TEOAT goes down or one of his "B" ratings becomes an "A"...very slight upgrade. Otherwise, it would be a waste of a spot just for new art.

I expect he'll be pretty much the same. Only way he gets upgraded is if Disaster gets a new card.
