This morning flicking through the channels I heard the mention of the Galactic Wresting Federation on TMNT. They had a wrestling match with a character called triple threat wearing a GWF heavyweight championship belt and the annoucer had the flying cameras like on the Johnny Rockets card. Someone that animates for the TMNT must also know about COTG.

How absolutely sweet would it be if the GWF actually was on TV? I would watch it religiously, I don't care if I'm too old to be watching Saturday morning cartoons! Sometimes I wonder, 4-5 years down the road, if something like that might just be possible. Cartoon? Action Figures? Video Game? I would mark out for any of those. I know Tom was hesitant about those things in the past, as he didn't want to get too big and "lose control" of his franchise .... but with COTG expanding I wonder if it might be more possible these days.

Honestly, I see all that stuff happening. For real. I mean, ten years ago if you had told me the game was going to go on-line, I would have been like "for sure", and it did.
The way Tom thinks, the skies are the limit. He can pretty much do whatever he wants with this at this point, it's just going to take some time.

If there is ever a GWF cereal I want some Thantos shaped marshmallows in it. Or I'm walking.

I'm assuming it's "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles". That's what it stood for back in my day.

Since we're in full "dreamtime" mode, I think I could find plenty of people I work with to do the voices for the characters for fairly reasonable rates. Not every actor's a member of AFTRA or SAG or is equity. I'm certainly not.
So if and when this ever really happens, gimme a call, Tom.

You know, it's funny you should say that, Jim, but I was considering bringing a "mobile studio" to GCon this year and having people audition for roles of GWF, CPC, and aCe characters. I'm not sure how feasible it is, and I'm not even sure how many people would be willing to try it, but if there's a certain level of interest, I might be able to pull it off.
Plus, if anyone who can't come to the Con would like to participate, if they have even moderately decent recording software that can get files to me in either .wav or .mp3 format, I can probably tweak them enough so that they'll work well.
So...Anyone?

I guess it would all depend on what material we'd be coming up with. Would we do 2087-era stuff, New Beginnings, CPC, aCe, any or all of the above? I'm open to discussion on it, but I'm also saying that something like this can't be done half-arsed. It's gotta sound good.
Plus it would be good if we had some royalty-free music to include with it. It's out there. The stuff you hear on the Zone of Lawlessness is my own old stuff, but there's honestly not enough of it out there to make a full show, and I haven't done any new stuff in a while.
This is maybe a topic for its own thread.
