I say start from the beginning...(2087) use the EC stuff for backstory and build from there...and give them depth...no Hulk Hogan Rock-N-Wrestlin stuff(though I loved as a kid)

I've been told that after running a mile or so my grunts and groans sound remarkably like what people feel the Creeper would sound like.
True story.

Leave it to the state that I live in to ruin things for every one. Remember that this is the same state that banned teaching "evolution" in many public schools a few years ago and actually had a debate over whether it should be illegal for a restaurant to not serve "sweet tea". Gotta love these red states.

I guess it would all depend on what material we'd be coming up with. Would we do 2087-era stuff, New Beginnings, CPC, aCe, any or all of the above? I'm open to discussion on it, but I'm also saying that something like this can't be done half-arsed. It's gotta sound good. Plus it would be good if we had some royalty-free music to include with it. It's out there. The stuff you hear on the Zone of Lawlessness is my own old stuff, but there's honestly not enough of it out there to make a full show, and I haven't done any new stuff in a while. This is maybe a topic for its own thread. Why not just bring the GWF to life...include all the stars over the history of the fed...each "year" bring in new talent to further develop the storyline. Say you begin with 20 stars from any era of the GWF and put them in a fed...give them all reasons for being there and let them write their own stories. This is basically what I did in my own fed when I purchased all the editions at once...picked randomly from the pile to fill a roster and then let the dice decide the story.

I'd be interested in doing a voice for someone. Not sure who my voice would fit for, but it might be fun.

Yeah it was the recent cartoon. It was totaly by accident that I just caught the mention of the GWF and I was like what the! So I turned back the channel and sure enough it was a wrestling match and the guy was wearing a GWF belt and it was set in the future with alien and humans just like the official GWF.

Since we're in full "dreamtime" mode, I think I could find plenty of people I work with to do the voices for the characters for fairly reasonable rates. Not every actor's a member of AFTRA or SAG or is equity. I'm certainly not. So if and when this ever really happens, gimme a call, Tom. Sweet- I've done some voice work before, and would give it a go! All of the characters would be fun to try for, especially Mutant, but I'd really like to try to voice Morpheus. I can hear him having a twinge of the Leonard Cohen in his voice.

See a future "Mark's Musings" at lawless.libsyn.com for more thoughts on this potential project. Don't know when I'll get it up, but hopefully within a couple weeks.

You know, it's funny you should say that, Jim, but I was considering bringing a "mobile studio" to GCon this year and having people audition for roles of GWF, CPC, and aCe characters. I'm not sure how feasible it is, and I'm not even sure how many people would be willing to try it, but if there's a certain level of interest, I might be able to pull it off. Plus, if anyone who can't come to the Con would like to participate, if they have even moderately decent recording software that can get files to me in either .wav or .mp3 format, I can probably tweak them enough so that they'll work well. So...Anyone? no thanks i'll pass on that mark.

I was watching cartoons with my daughter and a cartoon came on and the characters were going to a comic-sci-fi convention and the convention was called Galacticon. I thought that was odd.
