I did buy Critical Countdown 2004 and rented Shockwave 2004.
Bought several UFC ppvs, but I do not like getting ppvs anymore- too much build up and silly interviews and entrances. I can wait a few months and rent the DVD and watch just the fights- and maybe an entertaining interview or two that is included.
Or I can wait a few days and the fights will be posted here..... ;D

Rampage made a good point about the Japanese fans being into the fighters and not just out for blood.
One of you guys posted the Arlovski v Buentello fight. After the (quick) finish, the crowd booed , and I thought to myself " Man, how rude is that? These guys do not even care about who is in the ring".
It made me sad.

So true, Turkish. It's infuriating to hear the American crowd sometimes booing what they don't understand and, therefore, cannot appreciate.

I then thought of Fedor's 26 second KO of Zukuhino and how the crowd went wild for him.
I think I am beginning to prefer Pride to UFC solely because of how each company caters to the crowd.

Psycho Instructor Brutalizes Muay Thai Students tinyurl.com/oo8z6
Like Watching Paint Dry (this guy actually busts some of those kids open with those stick shots...showing shades of the Cobra Kai Dojo from the Karate Kid) "We do not train to be merciful here, mercy is for the weak. A man confronts you in the street he is your enemy. An enemy deserves no mercy. STRIKE FIRST. STRIKE HARD. NO MERCY!"
[Bobby is about to face Daniel in the semifinals] Kreese: Bobby. I want him out of commission! Bobby: But Sensei I can beat this guy. Kreese: I don't want him beaten. Bobby: But I'll be disqualified. Kreese: OUT OF COMMISSION!
[just before Johnny fights Daniel in the tournament] Kreese: Sweep the leg. [Johnny stares at him in shock] Kreese: Do you have a problem with that? Johnny: No, Sensei. Kreese: No mercy!-Sensei John Kreese 'The Karate Kid'

Gracie Judo Invasion 2 7/27/88 tinyurl.com/n9sz2This is one of the 'Holy Grails' I previously mentioned searching for online. Watch how the contrast in styles leads to hostility among the Judokas and the Gracies which results in an abrupt end to the sparring session. Gracie Judo Invasion 2 Transcript'Rorion, Rickson, Royler, Royce, Renzo, Rillion, Rolker, Relson, Rigan and assorted other members of the Gracie Army show up at a famous judo club in Los Angeles. As always, Rorion's faithful video recorder is rolling.' Like Watching Paint Dry (who got a kick out of Rorion playing innocent on commentary given his true intentions)
"Now don't say that. You can bang them on the ground if you want. Hey, that's my brother, don't call Royler a son of a b*tch." -Rorion Gracie to an angry Judoka

Matt Hughes Post Fight w/ The Undertaker tinyurl.com/om3p6This was after the Sherk fight from UFC 42. Questions to ponder: Will the dead man be backstage tonight? Could we see MH one day pull off a flying arm bar in the world of pro wres? Will UT ever try one of those?
Like Watching Paint Dry (who is totally pumped to finally find out who will earn the right to face 'The One Man Army' in tonight's BJ/GSP fight).
