To my knowledge this was never officially discussed at G-con, but word is that it is in the works and should be very cool. No timetable has been set, as I'm sure alot of testing needs to go into it.

I'm a Software Engineer and based on my past experience I would say not to expect the PC game until 6-12 months after development starts if they want to release quality product depending on the number of features and the level of experience of the development team.

We were told that Kris was heading the project and that there would be an update on the project at G-Con. It would be nice to get an official announcement on any current ideas or happenings regarding this project.
Desktop is great and the Fed ranking system created by Kinsman helps tremendously but I can't wait for an official game which can hopefully automate a lot of that and save us no end of time.

Not quite sure I really get your analogy, but I'll do the best to explain what I can. The project is in development. I know, not too exciting, is it? That's the reason there hasn't been much talk about it. At this time it's being worked on...and moving along nicely. I won't be giving out an expected date at this point because that leads to potential disappointment. Let's say 2007. For some insight on the topic, the previous posts are all reasonable in their assumptions. ~ :-Xsk |

I would say look for it in 2008 then if its early then we will happy and it wont really be late. =)

Here's a quick question... I bought the original game back in the mid 80's or so, and have been playing off and on ever since. I have dreamed of the day when a PC version would be released... The question is... Will there be some sort of survey of those who play the game as to what features we would like incorporated?

Yo usc,
No official poll will be held, but sounding off at any time here on the boards couldn't hurt.
What I can say is that the game itself is being designed from the perspective(s) of loyal promoters...and any and all feedback from other loyal promoters is always welcome.
I'm hoping to have an official update on the situation by the end of this month.

It would be great to have some kind of match results spit out of the program. perhaps use XML and do an XSLT transformation on it. This would allow people to customize the way the results were presented, provided they knew XSL. Of course, you could always have a format editor in the app. |
