I was just wondering what ever happened to actagon? In my fed, he was one of my best wrestlers till he retired. In my fed he was a 4 time galactic heavyweight champion and a 2 time tag team champion.

wow, that Grecian Sleeper Grip must have done wonders for you. For me, his one comeback on L2D did him in. Proteus was the guy I had compete in singles competition when I had the compete separately.

actagon did do great in my fed. He had some great matches with wolf, Thantos, and Star Warrior. He lost his fair shair of matches, but somehow came out on top for the title matches. He has been doing great in the fed, but lost a loser leaves the fed for good match against Thantos.

I used him in my first fed as mainly a tag wrestler, but i did give him the oppurtunity now and then to go solo. He was average as a singles wrestler for me never being in contention to hold singles gold. The one time the Greek Gods won tag gold they lost it in their first defense. The Gods seemed to do well but when a title was on the line they just seemed to choke. I do like the Classics 3000 Actagon, tho it is a little bit of a downgrade he is stronger on defense. He still has the one reversal on level 2 defense. But he did get 3 reversals on level 1 and he has two dazed 1 on level 2 also. His finishers are +1 now (the two of them).
What i planned on doing with him is after he retired in 2098 was to bring in his Classics 3000 card and use it in the CPC 2109 and team him up with someone in the fed.

He's only had a couple of singles matches in my fed. I tend to not have tag wrestlers do singles matches very often.
As far as success. They were off the charts in 87-89. They won the Galaxian Tag Titles 4 times in that time frame and rarely lost a match. Once the Gladiators got upgraded and the Cosmic Forces hit the scene they took a slide. They went from being No.1 contenders to being I think the No.6 Contenders during that year. 2091 has seen them do a little better but they're more of a has been team now that the GalactiCops and Beasts of Burden are on the scene.

Actagon dominated my Fed's early years.
The Greek Gods were pretty much unstoppable. They were my first tag team champions and held the belts until the Gladiators got their upgrade in 2090. Since 2090 they have been midcarders, hovering at the bottom of my top 5 ranked tag teams.
Actagon did very well in singles competition as well, but never won a singles belt. The main reason being that he held the tag belt for a very long time, and I don't allow wrestlers to hold more than one belt in my Fed.
I'm in 2097 right now, the Greek Gods are in the middle of their farewell tour. They have been doing better than I expected and are probably one win away from being ranked in the top 5.

Actagon was very successful in the early days of my GWF while the roster was still somewhat thin. For awhile, he performed well enough to be the #2 face in the fed behind SW. Still, like many of the early wrestlers, he took a sharp plunge as the years went on the roster got deeper.

Actagon is one of my all-time favorite singles wrestlers. I put him in singles action when he became frustrated at the Greek Gods repeated failure to win the Tag Team Championship. As a singles wrestlers he won the Interplaneatry Championship on several occasions. So far he has only held the GWF Championship once, but has been a constant contender for that title and has put on some exciting Championship matches while chasing the belt.

In 2087, the Greek Gods won the tournament to become my Galactic Tag Team Champions and they held the belts until February of 2098 when they lost them to Brute and Massacare. Then in 2098 they won their feud with the Norse Gods. However, the Greek Gods never won another tag team championship ever again for me and have been retired now for about a year and a half- I am currently in July of 2099. During the War Games period (2091-2093) the Greek Gods lost the majority of their matches against teams such as the Cosmic Forces and Keepers of the Stone. I really like the idea of using Actagon's Classics 3000 card in the CPC in 2109.

you know, it's really too bad that the Greek Gods seemed to fade and get lost in the pack after the first game edition - although a feud with the Norse Gods may have had a heavy hand in that.
The Greek Gods did okay for me, but Proteus and Wolf was where it was at.
Oh, and for anyone who may have ever run a search, who were Proteus and Actagon in classical Greek mythology?

I took a few Classical Greek and mythology classes in college and recall Proteus being a water god of some type. He was able to take all different types of shapes and I believe is where the words Proto and Protean originated from - meaning very adaptable, constantly changing, and flexible.
I'd never heard the word 'Actagon' until the GWF - I assumed Tom made up the word. It actually sounds more Latin than Greek, frankly.

Actagon held the gwf tag titles for me with the greek gods on a few different occasions. They had great feuds with the norse gods and the cosmic forces as well as the gladiators.i really liked the direction tom took actagon's charcther in classics 3000 as well.

There was an Actaeon in Greek mythology, and perhaps it's been translated to "Actagon" in some other sources.
Actaeon was a hunter who was caught a glimpse of the goddess Artemis as she was bathing in a cave--for that he got turned into a deer and was torn apart by his own hunting dogs.

The Greek Gods have been ok, 2x Tag Team Champs but right now mid-card level at best. The Ani-Men, Damage,Inc. The Pride of America have gone so over with fans, The GG's just dont have it

cool. I couldn't find Actagon anywhere either, but apparently Proteus was the god of the sea who some character in the Odyssey captured in order to find out the fate of the Trojan War heroes, if that means anything to anyone.

Actagon was a two time I-P champ in my 2087 fed. His first title reign came after a brutal cosmic cage match, he fought his former partner Proteus for the title! In my eyes Actagon was the cocky chris jericho and he played out very well.

In my eyes Actagon was the cocky Chris Jericho and he played out very well. ~later days As a team, the Greek Gods had a hard time capturing the tag team Championship. Actagon became very cocky and blamed Proteus for their failure. He broke away from the Greek Gods to become a singles wrestler and became one of my top heels. He was very much the "cocky Chris Jericho" character for me. Eventually, Solarus was able to reason with Actagon and the Greek Gods were reformed. But Actagons' run as a heel singles star was one of my favorite storylines.
