The Real team in the NL??? You are aware this is the Cubs you're talking about. They haven't won jack s@#t since your great-great-great grandpa was born. Ahh dearest Havoc, Been a Cubs fan all my life. I live, bleed and will die Cubs Blue. It will be that much sweeter when the Cubs finally do win it all. When that happens, no matter where I am in the world, I will be driving/flying/hovercrafting/teleporting to Chicago and joining in the sure to be riots. And BTW.................CARDS SUCK!! This makes me sad. I hate that people STILL get their hopes up. You just have to know, deep down, the Cubs are going to choke. You can't fight destiny. There will be riots alright. When they disastrously collapse and break the hearts of the Cub Lemming Nation.

Are you a DIE HARD Brewers fan? If so; when was the last time the BREWERS won anything? Not counting any other incarnation of Milwaukee clubs. Looked it up............NEVER.
Sure the Cubs lose. And you know what; it is concievable that they will do it again this year. But we still love them and continue to do so.

But they aren't the Cubs. So they aren't doomed to suck for all eternity. Sorry. I didn't make the rules.

Just so you know what it looks like. The Fosters tastes even better when you have one of these. Heck, even that pi$$ you drink at Wrigley would taste great with one of these. Too bad you'll never know.

If you aren't winning, guess what............you are sucking. Winning....losing...the Cubs are the one exception in that they suck either way. 1st place....2nd place....last place....the Cubs can't help but suck. Sorry. I didn't make the rules.

The Cubs are in first place in the NL Central!!! Enjoy it while it lasts....The Meltdown TM is so close, you can almost taste it. Zambrano's arm is already feeling the strain......

Zambrano's arm is robotic, Aquinas. He is the Lance At-Las of MLB, only without the fabulous hair and with a better power rating. He'll be just fine, and your boys are done.

Aquinas, you have fun up there with Ryan Howard this weekend. He's going to be angry, because he didn't do much down in Wrigley but strike out.
I imagine he'll probably be hungry, too.

As a Phillies fan, I'm pleased with a split playing in Chicago with a makeshift outfield. As an aside, I saw Chris Robeson play last week when the Ottawa Lynx were in town. He didn't look to good at the plate, he only hit one ball hard. I'm amazed he went 5 for 10 over the Cubs series.

I imagine he'll probably be hungry, too. At least he'll be able to get some good food and beer up in Milwaukee after that rancid garbage they serve at Wrigley. Oh, and this thread serves no purpose. Much like yourself.

Nothing is as bad as being 5 outs from a World Series before collapsing. Until that happens again, I'm numb to everything else ;D
BTW, the Cubs lost 1 friggin game. Lets not call the meat wagon yet.

Nothing is as bad as being 5 outs from a World Series before collapsing. Until that happens again, I'm numb to everything else ;D Now let us never speak of this again! BTW, the Cubs lost 1 friggin game. Lets not call the meat wagon yet. And the Brewers lost, too, and that's really all that matters. And speaking of everyone's favorite team who's out of first place by percentage points ... I found this quote to be quite interesting: Looks like the Crew doesn't know how to handle a little pressure to me. GO CUBS!!!

So I'm watching the Cubs vs. Reds game, and Adam Dunn just mashed out a homer, because that's what Adam Dunn does. Before he did that, though, we had the traditional camera from center field view of the action, with Jason Marquis pitching to Dunn. The camera angle and the fact that Dunn is like 9 feet tall made Marquis look like a midget.
This doesn't have much to do with anything, but it amused me, so I thought I'd share.
GO CUBS!!!

BDS, Am I allowed to root for the Cubs only when Carmen Pignatiello is pitching or does this obey some basic law of the universe and I will cease to exist. Pignatiello is a cousin of my best friend.

When anyone else is pitching I will be rooting with josharpie'esque vigor for the opposition.
