I really like the idea of a sub forum for one shot COTGnews/announcements/results. Is it possible to also get a sub-forum for the LOW fed forum?

Actually, I like my old 2119 fed and really don't want to have it deleted. There's a lot of stuff that could be deleted from people that no longer post on here, but I for one DON'tT want my old stuff deleted. No worries. Your 2119 fed is safely tucked in the archive.

Okay. The fed forum is now officially clean. At least to the best that I can do anyway. All the old stuff is in the archive and all the one shots and blurbs are in the news section. The actual forum is fed specific threads only. In fact, I'm not so sure a sticky will be needed any longer at this point.
Please post any feedback about the changes in this thread. Had it not been for BDS' suggestion, I would have never thought of archiving the old threads.
EDIT: Everything that was 6 months or older was archived. There was just too many posts to try to sort through to separate the announcements, one shots, etc.

This way our fed threads won't disappear off the front page so quickly due to "one-shot" card postings. Thanks Paul.

As for the other Fed Forums: we'll get right on it. Trav and Todd (WTIC) would be the most likely to take over, but Jim and/or I can probably step up if one of them doesn't have the time.
Hopefully, we'll have all the fed forums set up this way by the end of the month, if not the end of the week.

One more thing that I really some feedback on is the sticky.
With the forum as streamlined as it is now, is there a need to keep a sticky? I certainly don't mind keeping it updated. Just looking for input.

I'm going to assume everyone is okay with the new setup. I'm also going to leave the sticky since there are still about 6 pages to sort through. It's no problem to update anyway.

Granted, I get on the boards alot, but that's just when I have a few extra minutes. My little guy is scheduled to spend the night out this weekend...so that should give me time to clear things up.

Coolness; that's everybody, then.
Guys, if you PM one of the others and your fed isn't added to the Index in a coupe of days, PM me and I'll take care of it.

My Boards are done. I wasn't going to toss recent stuff into the "Fed News" Board, but I did just to streamline the Fed Thread Board. So now there's News on the first sub-board, archives on the other sub-board, and the current Fed Threads on the main Bootleg Fed Forum Board. Whew! That was a job and a half! Sure hope we get paid for this! ;D

Question. What is the Legends Fed News sub-board for? I'm not seeing any reason for a seperate section. If you have just a one-shot news announcement or whatever, why can't that go in with all your other results and such? I like that things were cleaned up in there and my old posts are in the archive. I plan to someday go through and pull out my old LOW results and get my website updated. There are only two posts in the new sub-board, is it really needed?

I really don't understand this problem/complaint. I use the LOW Fed News sub-board (which by the way does have more than 2 posts as my topic there already has about 5 posts) and I think it is a good idea. It allows people to post news (I personally like to promote my PPVs and I will make frequent use of it just for that purpose alone) and one time show results without cluttering up the fed forum. It is also relatively new so I think more time is needed before we can make conclusions about how often it will be used. If you look back at the archived LOW fed results, it is not hard to find many one time results that were never followed by another post.

I just went back and checked and there 8 or 9 threads on the first page of the LOW archived fed sub board that were never followed by another post (so they are one time results) and there were another 7 or 8 such posts on the second page. Also, Bazzy is one of the guys who was posting these one time results but he is now using the LOW fed news sub board which means this IS apparently working to clean up the LOW fed forum.
Plus, if you don't like the LOW fed news sub board then I say don't use it. But I don't see any reason to complain about it because it is doing the job it was intended for.

It wasn't a complaint V. Just an honest question. I don't see the difference for a one-shot news announcement and your fed thread. It's all the same, why split your news? This seperate board doesn't make sense to me. I asked someone to explain the difference between the two but you just told me don't use it if I don't like it. Until I see a good reason why to put news in the sub-board instead of my fed thread, I won't use it. The purpose of people using one thread for their fed was to clean the board up and eliminate those single posts that have no responses. This is creating more of that in another forum.

Since you made a double post, here's mine. I meant there are only two different threads in the new board. Your new thread on the sub-board has five response, three by you. And you posted the same S. Series lineup in your fed thread. I read it. So right there you are proving my point. I really didn't expect this kind of argument to come up from my question. You put the same thing in your fed thread and the new sub-board. Just asking why that is needed. Explain to me the difference between the boards, that is all I'm asking.

The purpose of people using one thread for their fed was to clean the board up and eliminate those single posts that have no responses. This is creating more of that in another forum. It is called ORGANIZATION. Instead of leaving everything in the fed forum as one gigantic cluster f**k, old feds and one-shot announcements are now separated from regular threads. Also (once again), as a promoter, I personally like to promote my PPVs with a separate thread- but I do keep my PPV results in the my main thread. With the sub-board, I have a way to do this without having to worry about knocking someone else's fed off of the front page. So in this case, the sub-board also works as a form of common courtesy. So if the sub-board is: 1) actually being used 2) keeping the fed forum more organized without needlessly dictating to someone like me how they post their fed updates/results 3) keeping other promoter's feds on the front page longer, why is there any request at all to get rid of it? Ty, I just don't see why it is bothering you.
