Not sure if there's a thread, but I didn't see one right away. If you've seen the others and now this one, what do you think? I loved it, and thought that it really played out nicely as the other 2 have. I thought for sure in the end that Bourne was dead, and figured they'd kill him to finally end all of his strife, but I guess not. I know it's based on 3 books, but is there another book after it? Not sure if there's much left to do with him for another movie or not. Would be interesting to see though.

I loved all three movies, eventhough I tend to not be too big a fan of movie versions of books. There are no other Jason Bourne novels after The Bourne Ultimatum written by Robert Ludlum. There are other Bourne novels written by other authors after Robert Ludlum died. Don't know if they're any good, though. ~Trav The other Bourne novels are The Bourne Legacy and the The Bourne Betrayal, both by Eric Van Lustbader.

From what i understand the stories were heavily re-written for the screen. The second and third movies don't resemble the source novels much at all.

The first one does, but there are a number of things that are different and it's open for debate whether the changes are good or not. I've never read the second or third novels, but I know the third novel is about Jason Bourne and a final confrontation with his arch nemesis Carlos the Jackal. As stand alone movies, and not taking the books into account at all, the movies are really good and I enjoyed them a great deal. ~Trav

I hadn't seen any of these movies until right around the 3rd came out -- my uncle bought me the first two as birthday gifts and I watched them both in one night. They were awesome and the next day I went and saw Ultimatum and loved it too. I read similar to the last poster, though, about how the last two didn't really resemble the books as much. Also, weren't the other books (after the 3rd) written by a different author or something? Or am I thinking of something else??
