Another one that always makes me chuckle is (Spoiler):
A conversation between Zombie Col. America and Zombie Iron Man:
Iron Man: "Where's Hank and Jan? They were with you right? We haven't seen Hawkeye either."
Col. America: Wasp flew away with a chunk of Magneto. Hank went to look for her. Hawkeye's Dead -- We think."
Iron Man: "....You Think!?"

By the way, they've just announced a Hardcover of Marvel Zombies: Dead Days...Basically everything that leads up to Marvel Zombies, including: The Dead Days One Shot, The Ultimate Fantastic Four issues with Zombies in them (where the concept originated) Marvel Zombies vs. Army of Darkness... I'll be passing on this because I already own all of the above (though in a moment of weakness I may impulse buy it just to have the entire genre in 2 books)...But all of them are really good to have, so I'll go ahead and recommend this as well...  |

Hmmmm, that's true too but I thought maybe mutant powers are effected by the zombie virus? They're not as powerful or healing type powers are negated or something? I really need to get these books.

Actually, Wolvie's healing factor only worked while some part of him was alive. Since, as a zombie, he's dead it doesn't work anymore.
And if I rememeber right he lost his arm in a fight early in issue #1....although off the top of my head I forget with who.

Just a FYI on Wolverine. If anyone remembers the Onslaught saga, I think it was Jean who found a file the Professor made which said how to defeat every one of the X-Men.
He basically said if you decapitate Wolverine, bury his head somewhere else.... (something along those lines)

The decapitation part is an issue with the indestructible skeleton...  Re: Zombie Wolverine: (Spoiler) The Zombies attack Silver Surfer and try to eat him, but his skin is impervious to all their attacks...Thor with his Makeshift Hammer manages to knock him off balance, but Iron Man loses teeth in his attempt, and Surfer blasts holes in a lot of them...Enter the guy with claws that can cut through anything: He takes a swing, the claws stop at Surfer's arm and Wolvies bones in his arm rip through his decomposed flesh...With no tissue to make his arm move he cuts off the arm (he pulls the bones out of his shoulder) saying "I can't think of what I'd rather have more right now - - a healing factor strong enough to fight decomposition or Adamantium ligaments to hold these bones together....*Sigh* Such a waste." |

Oh yeah, and most powers (including mutant) aren't affected but there are a lot of "Common sense" examples:(spoliers) ;D Quicksilver uses his speed to spread the virus all over the world in a matter of hours after he's turned...Thor is still a God and one of the most powerful Zombies, but is no longer worthy to use his hammer...Juggernaut loses his invulnerability and force field, but still has his armour...Venom's symbiote wasn't turned, but it was essentially starving to death being attached to Zombie Eddie...But essentially, the only non-powered humans that were turned were the ones they wanted to turn...Reed purposely turns Tony Stark but they eat Nick Fury for example...Everyone else was food because they didn't have powers to defend themselves or escape...And if anyone wants me to cease with the spoilers, just lemme know... |

Oh, and to pad Trav's and mine, do you mean "feel free to post spoilers" or "you can stop blacking them out"...I figure everyone is probably reading them anyhow, I just don't want to be THAT guy....You know, that guy that leaves the theater after seeing Alien3 and shouts to the waiting lineup " SHE DIES AT THE END!! AN ALIEN BURTS OUT OF HER CHEST AS SHE FALLS INTO A FIERY PIT!!" I know that guy...He's a dick... |
