Best & Worst Super Bowl commercials

You knew this was coming.

This was a big rebound for commercial quality after several lackluster years. Standouts that I can recall:

* The Bill Frist/James Carville Coke ad.

* The FedEx carrier pigeon ad.

* Stewie vs. Underdog for the Coke bottle balloon with surprise run-in finish.

* Charles Barkley bugging Dwyane Wade.

And my personal favorite, the Clydesdale-as-Rocky/dalmation-as-Mick Budweiser ad. I hate Budweiser but that was classic.

Worst? The SoBe LifeWater ad with the dancing lizard was imbecilic (not to mention a total Geico ripoff), and there was an incredibly badly done Godfather spoof for Audis, but the absolute worst was the animated panda ad for some crap sales website that I can't remember and won't dignify by looking up. Going beyond dumb, it was the absolute most vile and racist ad I think I've ever seen.

I also liked the Rocky Budweiser ad. There was also one for Geico with the cavemen sitting there watching TV complaining about some show with cavemen on it. "Did you see that makeup? I mean, why not use real cavemen?"

"I know. Well, at least they didn't say, 'It's so easy...'"

The TV trailer for the Iron Man move just psyched me even more to see the movie.

- Yeah, it was sort of a Geico knock-off, I kinda liked the 'Sobe Lizards' myself. Maybe cuz I just happened to see the original Thriller, and so I really noticed all the funny little parody moments throughout the dance.

- The Will Ferrell Bud Light spot was probably my fav.

The Diet Pepsi Max ad was my favorite.
Will Ferrell's bud light ad was runner up.
That Sales Genie panda ad was the worst commercial I've ever seen. Racist, barely scratches the surface.

I thought the talking stain commercial was funny, as well as the Doritos commercial where the mouse comes out of the wall and beats the crap out of the guy.

The Perfectville ad with the 72 Dolphins was cool...

and it is because i am sick and twisted, but i thought the planter's nuts ad with the, let's just say not so good looking chick was the best...I was laughing my ass off seeing all those guys fawn over her!

Speaking of sick and twisted, the Career builder one with "jiminy cricket" getting caught by the spider! AWESOME!

The Sobe dancing lizard ad was cool as well...
