I was searching through Netflix for odd crap to throw in the Queue and began thinking of cool toons from my youth and found the old D&D cartoon then remembered this one but could not find it due to my complete lack of remembering what it was called. Can anyone help? You know the one where at the start there is a kid playing Punch Out fighting Hippo and then gets sucked into the tv... can anyone help me?

The idea originally debuted in the pages of Nintendo Power as Captain Nintendo. I actually still have the issues. It was very early in the magazine's publication run. The first couple of issues I believe. The show included a lot of guest appearances from established Nintendo characters. I also recall that with a few characters they deviated heavily from their original look. Take Mega Man for example. He was really short and wore a funny looking green suit and talked sorta like a robot. He would say the word mega at the end of every sentance. Weird. Anyway, hope that helps

I think a few episodes are on Youtube. I remember seeing Mega Man, Pit from Kid Icarus, the hero from Castlevania, Mother Brain and Donkey Kong on it.

It's also slated to come out on DVD if not out already. It was kinda fun but very much the epitome of advertising in a cartoon. Still I loved how vain they made Simon.
