Who has seen it and what do you think about it? Hopefully I'll be seeing it tomorrow afternoon with the boys.

I saw it and enjoyed it. You're probably gonna take away from it what you brought to begin with. If you expect to hate it, you will. If you expect to like it, you will. There's a lot more humor to it than I thought there would be. Somethings just don't work, like Nicolas cage and Eva Mendez are supposed to be the same age. But get past that and it's a decent "comic book" movie. I'm a dork. I like comic books. I liked this movie.

Ehhh; it was what it was.
Agree with Trav about Cage and Mendez.

I liked it, but it wasn't lacking in certain areas. They should have had a skull mask with CGI flames as I noticed a few times the skull wasn't in the right place on the body, and the whole talking skull that was the reason for the CGI looked kinda' lame. Also didn't like the whole Mendez/Cage age thing like Sick and Trav.
I thought it was funny that a couple left during the middle of the movie mumbling about "Demonic something or other". I guess they just thought "Marvel and Nick Cage, sounds good!"
Also, Cage has been trying to get a comic movie for a few years now since he's a big comic fan, but he really didn't turn in that good of a performance.

It's a movie. I never read the books, but I thought the movie was O.K.. I don't think you'll be blown away; but, I don't think you'll be disappointed either. I thought Nicolas Cage was at his best before turning into Ghost Rider. The Only real disappointment: It wasn't Johnny Cash singing "Riders in the Sky" during the credits. A 3 out of 5.

Inoffensive popcorn flick. Some stiff acting (and stiffer CGI), but nothing terribly distracting to the genral movie-going populace. It helps greatly if you're a fan of the comics, and if so it helps even more if you can appreciate the way they combined the Johnny Blaze GR (origin and human) with the Dan Ketch GR (look and powers). The wife and I were and did, so were were pleasantly surprised. Of course, we went in with nearly bottomed-out expectations.

I enjoyed it.
I am a fan of the comic and of Nicholas Cage so that helped. I really liked Sam Elliot as the Caretaker in the movie as well.
The Pennince (sp?) Stare is the sweetest superpower ever.

the wife & I enjoyed it...we went with no expectations other than to have a good time...We did. I like Cage and he did a good job. The 300 is the next on my must see list.

It was decent, a movie that certainly translates better to the big screen as opposed to at home on the TV. Agree that Sam Elliott was great, wish they developed his character more.

I saw Ghost Rider today. It wasn't great but was still fun to watch.

I am a comic book fan, but never read a Ghost Rider book. I really enjoyed the movie. I thought it had a nice balance of scary/dark elements and a little bit of campiness to remind you that is was a comic book movie. The effects were cool looking. What I really liked is that the movie was not about the effects, it was about the character of Johnny Blaze dealing with the curse and seeking a second chance. It was a very fun "Popcorn" movie.
And I didn't even give any thought to the difference between Cage and Mendez. It worked for me because Blaze had lived a very hard life and was dealing with a terrible burden. Many people who live a hard life look "older" than they really are.

I wasn't crazy about it. I had fun but it was far from what I consider a good movie. If you have a dollar theater near you wait til it goes there.

I really liked the movie, and I'm a bigger GR fan than ever. I do admit the dialog was off in some places (when Blackheart and The Devil talked for the first time, I laughed out loud which got me some weird looks from my fiancee and others nearby). Overall though it was a great movie, and I hope the sequel is just as enjoyable.
Take care,
Jay
