I've recently rediscovered Sevendust's "Home" album and have come to realize it is so much better than anything they released afterwards.
I seriously haven't listen to the disc since I was highschool( was a fresh or Soph when it was released). And looking back I can see why, at the time, I liked them so much.
I often am annoyed by the nu metal down tuned chug chug that prevailed that type of music at the time. But I don't mind it when Sevendust does it.
It's one of the reasons I moved away from that genre and into more extreme metal.
Overall "Home' is a very enjoyable listen.
favorite : Home, Denial, Reconnect, Licking Cream, and Feel so

Yes this is a great album and a great band. Remember seeing them in concert in Athens GA back before they were called Sevendust back when they were called Crawlspace. GREAT BAND!

I still think that their self titled debut is one awesome piece of heavy metal. I like "Home" only slightly less. I saw them open for Creed wwhile supporting "Home". Needless to say, I went out and got "Home" the next day.
Animosity was really good as well, but the last two lost my interest quickly.
Nothing beats "Black"

Black was one of my favorite albums back in the day that I just played over and over. Lajon was excellent on both.... If having to choose I THINK I would choose Home though.
