Dumbsest...movie...ever. I thought I was going to see a movie based on true events about a mass-murdering serial killer who is still at large today...
who knew the movie was really about a 200ft. fucking aligator...
which part about this movie is based on true events again? Surely not the 200ft. computer animated alligator...
This is what I get for not reading the newspaper.

I hate when movies purposely mislead the public like that.
And it sucks because I was actually geeked about seeing that movie. I won't bother now. Thanks for the heads up.

how can this be based on true events.when its got a 200 pound aligator ?.sounds kinda corny but anyhow.i know its BASED on a true story.so no back talk.

Thanks Swarm I can now save my money.  SOmetimes the Critics are misleading though that is why I don't pay attention to the papers as most of the time I don't agree with them. |

I visit a lot of horror movie websites, so I knew the film was about a crocodile and not a human being. I agree that the marketing campaign was lame as heck. The trailers of the film have not been sufficiently intriguing for me to waste any money on Primevil at theaters. I'll wait for the DVD. And even then, I may not buy it.

There is actually even another movie coming out in the next few weeks called Rogue which is also about a large crocodile or alligator.

I hear crap like that and wonder why I haven't written a movie yet. Surely with the few talents I have, I could write a movie about a huge alligator and make some money.

This is what I get for not reading the newspaper. Dude forget the newspaper. Always, always take a peek at Rotten Tomatoes and check out the percentage (out of 100%) that a movie gets. The site bases the score on all the cumulative reviews of all newspapers, big critics, and big movie review websites around the country. I don't read the actual reviews for fear of spoilers, I just check the number. I too have been burned before...and I too was stoked about Primeval (I thought it was based on Hybrid  ). I saw Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 19% and just decided to skip it. Don't get me wrong I have a bunch of personal favorites that the critics might not have liked, but anything with this low of a score throws up a major red flag. www.rottentomatoes.com~ :-Xsk |

I saw the previews for this and I was intrigued as well. I teach a class about serial killers and criminal justice so I was confused to hear about about a person who has killed 200 people and is still at large. Searching around on the internet I found out about the killer crocodile from Burundi. I too was let down.
