Surprised no talk about this movie yet. I haven't seen it yet, so I'm curious what everyone else thinks about it.

I just saw it last Friday. I loved it. I guess it was about 2 1/2 hours long but it didn't seem like it at all. I have never been a bond fan but this movie was awesome. I would recommend it to everyone. Great story, great action...what more do you need.

I saw Casino Royale last Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Although I am personally not much of a James Bond fan, I did like Casino Royale.
I partly liked Casino Royale because I found it in many ways to be somewhat different than the recent Bond movies of the past 10 years. I think Daniel Craig did a better job than Pierce Brosnan at playing Bond. The action in Casino Royale is also not quite as stunt heavy or based on special effects but is still well done. There is also not much gadgets (or any Q at all) in this movie and I did not really miss them at all.
I also enjoyed the card scenes and Craig delivered some good lines such as "Do I look like I give a damn?" when the bartender asked him "shaken or stirred" after he lost the high-stakes poker game.
I would definitely recommend seeing Casino Royale.

I've never been much of a Bond fan either, but neither has my uncle and he thought this movie was outstanding. My dad, who is a Bond fan, only thought it was ok.

Loved it. Dragged a bit towards the end, but other than that a solid entry and a great "reboot" to the franchise, much akin to Batman Begins.

Fans of the Bond series are a fan for a reason. They've changed some things about the series to appeal to a wider audiance, but in the attemp possibly could of put off some of the die hard fans.
The movie looks cool to me. And I've always been somewhat of a fan of the series. So I look forward to checking it out.

GREAT FILM! I'm glad they restarted the franchise, just like Batman and Superman 007 needed a change and this was the right move.

I forgot to add that Craig gave Bond much more character than Brosnan ever did and it wasn't just because of the bit of love story. He just showed more/better emotion.

Really fantastic. Did drag a bit at the end, but I loved the movie a lot. Craig was awesome.

I think the credit to that goes to the writers, not the actors. Brosnan's Bond was the perfect combination of Connery, Moore, and Dalton (Lazenby only had the one movie, so he really can't be counted as part of that mix); Craig's is totally restarted without that 40 years of baggage.

You may be right but I still give Craig some of the credit.

Oh, no question. He was definitely a great choice by EON.
