Has anyone seen this? I really like Clint Eastwood's movies and, since I get a 3 day weekend in observance of Nevada Day, I am thinking of going to see it either tonight or tomorrow.

This movie is actually a two parter of sorts... The first one is through the view point of The Americans and the second part is from the Japanese view...sounds really interesting and I am hopefully going to see it after I retain the Keen of hardcorn title this saturday!

Yeah, I know. The second one is called Letters from Iwo Jima and is also directed by Eastwood. I am also looking forward to Letters from Iwo Jima.

I saw Flags of Our Fathers last night.
Based on a book that was co-written by the son of one of the 6 marines from one of the most famous images in US History, I thought the movie did a great job portraying the story and explanation behind the flag-raising moment. I also thought Clint Eastwood did a great job with the horrific battle scenes on Iwo Jima. Now I am looking even more forward to seeing Eastwood's Letters from Iwo Jima that comes out next year.
