So was anyone else a fan of the other two, besides WTIC Promoter?
I loved the other 2 and will be using my free movie passes from my birthday to see it (I may sneak over to Texas Chainsaw Massacre as well!..shhhh).
Plus, any movie, like Saw I, that sees Danny Glover get offed is OK in my book.

I liked the first one, thought the second one was only okay. . . But I adore Shawnee Smith, so I'll probably go see it.

We recently saw (no pun intended) the first one). Not bad and a nice twist at the end. However it wasn't as scary as we thought it'd be. I'm hoping they show the second one on cable this month.
Take care,
Jay

Take care, Jay That's why I enjoyed it...because it wasn't "scary" per say. It was more of a horror movie that made you think.

I really liked the first one, the second was entertaining, but didn't quite grab my attention like the first. Let me know how the third is. I'll leave it up to what you guys think to see if I go out to see it.

I'll probably see it. The plot twists in the first two were very good, so I'll likely go to #3.

Saw 3? There's gonna be a Saw 3? OMG! Didn't know that!
Okay, kidding. I knew! Of course I knew! Yeah, I will go see it as soon as it opens! Loved the first one, thought it was supposed to be a generic slasher movie, so I was pleasantly surprised when it wasn't, and I loved the "Twilight Zone" ending!! Wow!
The second was bloodier (even better!), and I liked that ending even better than the first one! And the "needle" scene has to be one of the most memorable moments in horror history!
Anyway, I've rambled on enough. Can't wait to see Saw 3!! ...Which reminds me: I have to change my avatar soon...

I went into the first Saw with expectations that were too high. I was a little disappointed by it. For Saw 2 I knew what to expect and enjoyed it very much. Upon viewing Saw 1 again I liked it. Not enough blood but you know me.
Saw 3 is on my to-do list. It has to be better than that Texas Chainsaw movie that I just watched. I was the only creature in the theater for that one with the possible exception of a cockroach here or there. I don't go to classy movie houses.

Just came back from seeing this movie ...
Definitely more blood and gore than the first 2 films in my opinion. (A guy behind me stumbled out of the theatre and passed out in the hallway after the first death scene. The FIRST one! lol) Also had a decent storyline and of course a bit of a twist ending.
It just seemed like there was something missing this time. I think this franchise keeps trying to outdo itself, keeps reaching for bigger and bigger shocks, and ends up getting lost along the way.
A good movie, worth seeing for what it is, but don't go in with overly high expectations.

I was a little disappointed in the ending. I had high hopes for Amanda after seeing SAW II. But then again, the Saw movies are more about the heroes screwing things up for themselves (sounds like my Flyers this season).
Take care,

I mirror most other's opinions on the Saw movies. I really enjoyed the first one, with the second one being a little disappointing. However the twist at the end of SAW 2 made it all worth it.
I'm not a huge gore buff, but I was led to believe that the 2nd would be uber bloody. It wasn't...although that didn't detract at all from the movie. I think some horror movies more recently are going for the gore olympics with the idea that more gore means more horror. which really isn't the case. Something can be said for a horror movie like holloween where there is almost no onscreen gore.
Anyhow, the Saw movies themselves are unique in their approach and are a smarter horror movie compared to some of the slasher films of the 80's.
Hopefully Saw 3 will have a nice swerve at the end and will contain some fun and entertaining "punishments".

Just saw this on imdb.com
It didn't take long for Lionsgate to announce that it plans to release yet another Saw sequel next Halloween weekend. Word came as final figures indicated that the latest one, Saw III, had earned $33.61 million during its three-day opening, Lionsgate's biggest opening ever.

Yeah the first two were great!
I watched the third one in the movie theater, and have it now on DVD (the Target 2-disc Exclusive), but haven't watched it yet. Hopefully, the next one will be better (IF there is a next one)!
