We have a small department at UPS, only like 6 of us, so we always get gifts for one another.
Anyways, someone got me a Best Buy gift card and I've been looking to buy one of the WWE classics DVD box sets (Flair, Graham, Rhodes, Road Warriors, etc).
Which is everyones suggestions about which one to buy? I know RingsYde was hyping Dusty Wodes this week, but what are some other suggestions and recommendations.
I appreciate the help.

I really enjoyed them all but I think I would go for the Road Warriors DVD. Some great matches, but then again The Dusty Rhodes has some cool matches on it. Dunno I think pick one of those two? Hope that helps?

Road Warriors one is awesome, if you like the 'taker buy his set only problem is the 3-dvd set is not separated so when you put them back in the case you have stack them on top of each other causing them to scratch

I would have to go with either the Road Warriors or Ric Flair DVD. Both are great.

I'm going to bnreak away from everyone else and suggest you get the Bret Hart DVD box because it's not only a great collection of matches and interviews; it's a landmark event in many ways. While I think the Road Warriors, Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes and Bloodbath dvd's are amongst the best of the WWE's offerings, Bret Hart's collection may well be the absolute best made (you know; the best there was, the best there is . . . ).

Road Warriors and Ric Flair are the best 2. Rhodes is also very good and has a very cool case. Graham is good but only has a couple matches. For the money Flair (3 discs), Road Warriors (2 discs) and Rhodes (3 discs) are the best ones.

My recommendations are in this order: 1) Road Warriors, 2) Bret Hart, 3) Ric Flair, 4) Bloodbath (the steel cage matches). I own and have seen all four of those dvds and that is the order in which I rank/like them (but they are all awesome). I just picked up the Superstar Billy Graham dvd but have not had a chance to see it yet. I also have not seen the Dusty Rhodes or the managers dvds yet but plan to get them both within the next few days.

I forgot about the Bret Hart one. That is a good one as well. Billy Graham's is entertaining but is only one disc and is pretty short.

Maybe the reason Trav didn't mention the Bret Hart one is that maybe he already owns it? If not then I would say the Bret Hart one for sure but it wasn't on the list so I only chose from what Trav had listed.

I was just naming some off my head. That's why I was looking for suggestions.

Road Warriors one is great as well as ECW Bloodbath. IF your bestbuy has it Forever Hardcore is great with 5 matches and the story of ECW told by ECW guys. Great stuff.

The Bret Hart set, the Ric Flair set, and the Chris Benoit set are my favourites. I also think The Rise and Fall of ECW is quite good. The Jake the Snake Roberts set is good as well.

Finally got out to buy the DVD with my gift certificate and bought the Road Warriors.
The reason why I bought them is I remembered what Tom wrote about Hawk when Hawk had passed. He said when they were talking about the RW appearing in Legends, Hawk would still ask about his family and playing with Tom's son.
I thought that was a great gesture on his part to Tom...not just looking at something like that as a business decision.
So, to honor Hawk and his loyalty to Tom...went with the LOD!
Now, can't wait to watch it! I just want to watch it with those jobber matches on Disk 1!!

I have not seen Dusty's yet, but as far as the most enjoyable DVD set mentioned, my favorite was the Ric Flair DVD. It is the best wrestling DVD this side of "Rise and Fall of ECW" and "Beyond The Mat". It may also have to do with the fact that Ric Flair was the best wrestler I've ever seen in my lifetime. So be it.

As far as packaging and presentation goes, I think Dusty's beats Flair's. For great matches though, you can't go wrong with Flair's set. The Road Warriors' set is good too, Travis. You'll see some classic AWA stuff in there, which always makes me happy!

That Wrestling Gold DVD set has some Memphis stuff, plus I have that Idol vs. Lawler Hair vs. Hair Cage Match collection. I doubt that's the cream of the crop from Memphis, but I guess it will have to do for now!

That is right. The Savage stuff on there is great. I forgot about that! Plus, there is always something on youtube.
And if you have the Cage match, you have the mack daddy of all Memphis. Great stuff. Great to see the fans totally p.o.ed like they haven't been since Kaufman graced the rings of the Mid South Col!
