I had the pleasure of watching an Australian western called "The Proposition" last night. It is gritty and violent, but also one of the best stories and casts I have ever seen. Emily Watson in particular gave a strong performance. This is not a family picture, but it is a strong film that I feel will become a classic in that genre, and could win some awards later this year. Plus, the movie and it's soundtrack were written by Australian rocker Nick Cave, and both blew me away!

The Australian landscape is fantastic on the big screen, and it is a film you shouldn't wait for. Trust me!
