tv.yahoo.com/news/va/20060313/114230606100.htmlNow come on Issac. LIke the article said, there is NO ONE safe from a show like South Park. It'd be different if they were attacking scientology on a weekly basis. Best thing about South Park...no agenda...everyone is fair game. Oh well...a shame.

This made me laugh out loud at Isaac Hayes, for all the reasons stated in the article.
"Hey, I'll make fun of other religions, but HEY! Don't make fun of mine!"
How ridiculous. And Isaac Hayes shouldn't hold so dear, a "religion" created by L. Ron Hubbard. Has he noticed that 99% of Scientologists are rich people in Hollywood? (From what I've heard, it's one of the only "religions" that doesn't say to help others if you have an abundance of material possessions and wealth - summarizing of course)

I always found the show to be idiotic and insulting to my intelligence, just like Beavis and Butthead, so I never watched the show.

I always found the show to be idiotic and insulting to my intelligence, just like Beavis and Butthead, so I never watched the show. See I have always thought the opposite. Trey Parker and Matt Stone are both very intelligent guys. They parody a ton of stuff in their show. They actually have a pretty sharp wit and basically, make fun of everything and everybody. Their whole message seems to be "don't take yourself too seriously."

The first season or two were mainly fart jokes and gay jokes and things like that. Then, at some point, they realized they co uld make dirty jokes AND talk about issues....and a more satirical south park was born.
It's a good show, but I usually forget to watch it when it's new. I catch reruns late at night on my UPN affiliate though.

The best part about South Park is the rapid turnaround time for actually producing a show. It takes them something like five days (if that), which lets them tackle "current" issues -- unlike every other animated show, ever. It's as close as we can possibly get to "live animation".

"No Homer, very few cartoons are aired live. It's a terrible strain on the animator's wrists."
I wonder if any other shows will start doing in house animation? I mean...I know the South Park animation is relatively simple compared to say Family Guy or the Simpsons...but it would make it a heck of a lot easier for them to tackle current events, as Chris stated above.

I never liked South Park either, but I think it's pretty funny that they're going after Scientology, and now celebs are screaming about "religious intolerance".
