Sci-Fi gets Who?

I'm excited about the signing of the new Doctor Who season one on the Sci-Fi Channel starting sometime this month. The DVD set will be released in July here in the States, either way this is a great show to watch. I grew-up watching Tom Baker and Peter Davison who are my two favorite all-time Doctor Who's.

Dr. Who...when i saw this last week while watching Battle Star Galactica (THE best Drama on TV) i couldn't believe it!

SciFi Friday, even during the "off" season is close to one of the best night on TV...especially if you like Sci-Fi/Fantasy!

I am very excited about this.

An old friend of mine from high school already has the series on DVD-he got it from England. (This friend and me were co-presidents of a Dr. Who fan club when we were in high school. Yes, we were and still are geeks ).

I went over his house and was able to watch 4 of the new episodes. It is GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has the "feel" of the old Dr. Who show but this time they actually have a budget for special effects, sets, and costumes. Old Dr. Who fans will NOT be disappointed. Plus, the show is written in such a way that it hints at the previous series but assumes that most people will be discovering the good Doctor for the first time. It is "Fantastic".

FYI to old Dr. Who fans. K9 will be making an appearance in Season 2 this year.

I remember watching all the series of Dr Who on TV in the UK. I even liked watching the reruns before I came here to US.. Now thanks for this thread I can relive my youth....
