This is the best show on TV other then LOST, the second season is better then season one. The Pegasus story arc was great, and now with the Battlestars what will happen now with the rag tag fleet.

I'm a fan of both the original series and the new series, they both have their own vibe to them. The new series in MY VIEW beats any Sci-Fi Series out there today, and in the last few years. I'm hoping we will see Richard Hatch in the last 8 episode's of Season Two, I like his Thomas Zerak character.

I was wondering if anyone was going to restart a thread on BSG...
This show is one of the Best Dramas on all of TV and a must see for any SciFi enthusiast...Don't go into the new show thinking that it is a rehash of the original as about the only thing that is the same is the character names.
The Pegasus Arc was great and i could hardly contain myself over the fall waiting for the new season to start.
It has been a real long time since there has been a show on TV that i MUST watch, but this is that show!

SO curious, time doesn't permit me to watch it (job, marriage, kid)...have to bide my time well.
I'd love to see it. HOw much is it like the original? And are the Cylons really female looking? Man, there's a bootleg ready to happen...the original Cylons!

I was a kid when the original series came out so i watched it strictly for the SciFi elements and the battles with the tin can Cylons...so i cannot adequately compare the drama on the original to the new. I know there was drama, but i don't think it was as cutting edge as to what the current producers are doing...The Cylon/human interaction on the original was no where near what is being done on the new show. Cylons have "evolved" from the tin can Centurions to human looking...with multiple (and i mean that in the hundreds) copies of each version...and yes there are females cylons who are, well..HOT! There are still the tin can models, but with todays CGI capabilities, they are one hell of a lot better than the original centurions. As far as a bootleg...lets just say Thantos' early experiments on robotics with the Evil Ones don't stand up to what the Cylon clones can do...they are tough SOBs and utterly undetectable in that they are not human! Man, Friday cannot get here soon enough!!! |
