I saw it today at my new movie theater in town, and I have to say I liked it a heckuva lot. It was just really, really good to me. I may even go see it again. i'm seeing King Kong when it opens Wednesday which yeah that day makes me a year older.

Good to hear it was so good. You will have to post what you think of King Kong once you see it.

Narnia impressed me as well. Somehow, I never read the books so it was a fresh experience for me; the wife (who just finished re-reading the chronicles in preparation) says that Disney was unusually faithful to the source material on this one, so there's a plus. The religious overtones weren't obvious enough to be distracting (I'm a firm believer that this is the kind of thing English teachers do that suck all the fun out of reading), and although the plot was understandibly simplistic (being a book aimed at younger readers and all), it still held my attention from bell to bell.
Not quite LotR-good, but still well-done. Looking forward to future installments.

I went into Narnia with very little known about the storyline, but this was the best movie I've seen toward the end of 2005. Plus, you've got to love a hot evil witch in a fantasy flick. The White Witch reminded me of the Borg Queen from Star Trek : First Contact, anyway this was a solid movie.
