Did anyone watch this show? As a fan of the original, I was very skeptical. After watching the first episode, I'm almost convinced that this is the best new show on television. The producers took some extreme liberties in retelling Carl Kolchek's story, but the new twists are amazing. Also, the original Kolchek had a "cameo" ( an old snippet of Darrin McGavin in the original series was spliced into the current series' news room).
I was very pleased with the first show, and the previews for next week are promising. Hope some of you caught it.

I really wanted to watch it, but we had a party for my little guy's birthday. I remember watching the series when I was younger with my parents.
I know my dad is hyped about it and I will catch it next week.

This is right up there with Battlestar Galactica remake, lastnights episode was solid. I loved seeing McGavin placed in the episode along with his famous hat. I have to say the three spooky shows this season are on my list of must watch... Night Stalker, Supernatural and Ghost Hunters.

I would add INVASION to that list. It's gaining ground on my favorites list. Very spooky and very reminiscent of old favorites like Body Snatchers and Tales from the Crypt.

ABC on Thursday. It comes on at 8:00 central time here in Aurora.

Watched my tape of Night Stalker this morning and I was impressed. Was a huge fan of the old series and wasn't worried this new version would tarnish the greatness that is Darin McGavin. But I really enjoyed the new twists they put on the character. Though it should've been in Chicago, not Los Angeles!  |
