I just read in an issue of Entertainment Weekly that Kelsey Grammer will be playing Beast in the next X-Men movie. I am not sure how I feel about that. Kelsey Grammer is a great actor and could act the part of Beast but he is nowhere near the size of Beast. I guess I would prefer he act like him over looking exactly like him though.

I hear he's going to be made up w/ suit and prosthetics for the acting bits. I guess if they can bulk him up, he doesn't need to be real tall. Especially if they give him a hunch that portrudes over his head, so that when Kelsey is standing straight, he looks like a huge, hunched over Beast. Then again, he could do the closeups and use a larger double in the non-acting/medium shots.

I find it strange at first that they chose Grammer, but he is a good actor and he could pull off the job and steal the movie. It will be neat to see what will happen with this X-men franchise if they will go past movie number three or end it at three.

I'm just glad Kitty Pryde is apparently getting more than a brief cameo this time. Shadowcat was always my favorite Xman, with Nightcrawler close behind. (It goes without saying that I was a pretty big fan of the original Excalubur series.)

Based on seech pattern, kelsy Grammar fits very well as beast.
Vinny Jones of "Lock, Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels", " Snatch", "Mean Machine", and "Gone in 60 Seconds" fame is supposed to be Juggernaut.
Now we just need a director who will maintain the same type of vision and not make this into a cartoony " Batman and Robin"
