I'd like to open a Godzilla thread, for anyone else interested in the Big-G's movies. For anyone interested, I have a Godzilla site I maintain at www.angelfire.com/film/gwoIt's the Godzilla World Order, and I discuss Godzilla and a tabletop game called Giant Monster Rampage. Anything G-related is fine with me! Let's open up the floor!!

Obviously, I also own GMR, and have created a few stats for the monsters in the Godzilla movies. Like you, it's hard to find someone around here willing to get in on a game. Do you have GMR2? It opens the door on a few more Kingdoms and Powers.
I did read at tohokingdom.com about the GODZILLA: FINAL WARS movie, and they seemed very disappointed in it. Apparently all those monsters have a drawback: each has screen time of about 1-2 minutes, and that's it! Gigan and Mothra, for example, do a battle for about 2 minutes, then they are done! I don't understand that at all. It almost sounds like they want to get as many action figures out as they can from this movie, so they cram it with as many monsters as possible. I haven't seen it yet, but that seems to be what I'm getting.
If you go to my gWo site, you'll see the stats I have there for my monster RANKOR. I have an open challenge on him, anyone who wants to step up! I'd like to get some sort of Monster Con established, for all giant monsters not inclusive to just Godzilla. Maybe a GMR tournament might be in order!

I downloaded a 15-minute promo and all things considered, I think it looks pretty cool! Granted, it's a lot different from the other movies but i think that's ok. Every so often someone shakes things up a bit like happened with GMK:Giant Monsters All-Out Attack and I thought that was good. I'm gonna reserve judgement until I see if for myself, and as of right now, I'm hoping thats soon.

keep in mind I'm not blasting it. I haven't seen it yet, so I'm not going to harp it. That was just one person's review. I'm just anxious to see the new Gigan!

I finally saw Godzilla:Final Wars the other night and for as much bad press as it got, I really think it was a pretty decent, if not outright good, Godzilla flick. Now any hardcore Godzilla fan can find reasons to dislike this movie if they are inclined to do so. Things like the short monster battles and the return of Minya can wear pretty thin, however, I think the good in this movie far out-weighs the bad. We get the chance to see Godzilla put a mean whoppin' on Deanzilla, we get a lot of monsters, and for once, Godzilla truly is the King of the Monsters (he is super-powerful in this film). If you can't wait to see the new Gigan, you are in for a treat, as he looks awesome! The spfx are some of Toho's best. The plot is very fast-paced at times too fast, but there's so much good stuff to fit in there. Yes, I may be the only person giving this a positive review, but if you can't like this movie, it's because you are purposely trying not to.
