1 good episode, 1 great movie and 1 not so good movie...
Evil Dead was good, Army of Darkness was not so good...
Evil Dead II : Dead by Dawn kicked some a**, this is one of my all time films with Bruce Campbell. The many shades of blood made you laugh, and the Chainsaw was the greatest since Texas Chainsaws Leatherface.
I saw Army of Darkness in the theatre and it was good, but now I look at it as a not so good movie. The timetravel thing was good, but the characters did not seem to fit in.
But overall all three are great classics from Sam Raimi.

Having seen the first of these movies with an audience makes my choice for the which of the three is the best: The first Evil Dead!
I remember watching the movie and seeing half the audience leave (you do KNOW at what point they left, hehe)!
As the gore really started cranking, someone closer to the screen started laughing. It was infectious, and the entire audience laughed when the guy up front laughed! One other thing I remember vividly from the experience: During the last ten minutes of the movie, a couple came in and sat in front of me and my friend. Now, if you're going to pay to see a movie, you don't come in with only 10 minutes left! LOL! I'm sure they must have snuck in after a different movie had ended!
Anyway, the first Evil Dead was an unforgettable experience. The movie may have been high camp, but I would rather watch any of the movies in the series than any of those wretchedly dumb, unfunny, not scary "Nightmare on Elm Street" movies anyday!

Having not seen Evil Deads I or II (*hangs head in shame*), but being a big fan of Bruce Campbell and The Army of Darkness, I loved that movie. While I have no comparison, I really enjoyed the puns and pratfalls in the movie. Great campy humor! Do forget that this way Sam Raimi's first "big time" movie, so perhaps he tried to do thing differently to make it get over?
You do have to admit that the AoD does have some great lines! The whole shotgun speech? Klaatu Verrata Niktoasdpfis? Good Ash / Bad Ash? That stuff is classic and I laugh out loud whenever I see it!!
".... and if any of you primitive screwheads so much as even TOUCHES me......HEEEAH!"
Classic, classic stuff!

AoD is bascially just a fun movie, good or bad. I love the one-liners. "Good..bad? I'm the guy with the gun." I also loved seeing Ash beat the @#$$ out of dead guys. I didn't see the original Evil Dead, but I did see 2 and it was okay. AoD blew it away in my mind, but only because of the fighting and one-liners.

I love all three. The best part of AoD for me were the skeleton baddies. Man, there were funny! I couldn't stop laughing
