A young lady that I chat with online got me into the Japanese Anime animated series Inuyasha. Does any of my fellow Promoters watch the show?
It's the story of a young girl named Kagome (kah-GO-may) that travels back to Japan's feudal era. She meets a half-boy / half-demon named Inuyasha (in-new-YAH-sha). Inuyasha wants a sacred jewel known as the Jewel of Four Souls so he can become a full-fledged demon. Of course, with Kagome's guidance, Inuyasha becomes a good-guy. Two other humans join them in their travels to find the jewel shards (Kagome had shattered the jewel when killing a demon that had taken the jewel). First up is Miroku (mir-RO-ku). He is a monk that is a real lady's man! He has a wind tunnel in his hand! Next, they meet demon slayer Sango. Sango's village was destroyed by the main villain Naraku (ni-RAH-ku). Naraku is a combination of many demons in one body. He wears what looks like a wolf fur with a green face, but the show describes it as a gibbon's fur.
Anyway, the show can be really funny at times, or very, VERY weird! It took a while for me to like the show. Inuyasha is shown on Cartoon Network late-nights Monday through Thursday. Check out your listings for the time in your area. I have all the episodes on tape since they started repeating it from the beginning recently. Miroku & Sango have already joined the group, along with the little fox demon Shippo.
Here's a pic of Inuyasha (white hair), Kagome (foreground), and Inuyasha's former flame Kikyo (KEE-kee-yo):
