It would seem they either didn't pay their bills or have dropped the game, the website is now a "Buy this Domain" page. There's a lot of hate here for them and their game, which I'll admit sparked my interest in it. I never did order it, but went to do so today. But if it's the crap people here say it is, then no big loss.
What I found weird when I was on their site was that they bashed the fantasy angle of CoTG, but they had a wrestler picture up that looked like an Archer/Ranger, which seemed hypocritical.
Anyway, it frees up another $10 that I can put into something else. All I have is the basic CoTG and LoW on the way, any recommendations for expansions? I suppose I should just get the packs in order to follow the storyline?
Just found the main page down here too, looks like a new site coming on the 28th! Gives me a few days to decide what to buy.

My thoughts exactly. Can't even ask advice in this forum. Yup, you got me, I created Wrestling Wars, check it out at www.wrestlingwars.net Just ignore the placeholder page and wait for 30 minutes, then you get redirected to the Actual page. The only responses I see in this thread are attempts to troll, and if thats what I'm doing now, then I guess I'll fit in just nicely. I have better things to do than argue with half wits. Thanks for the game. |

Hey, not for nothing, but did anyone else notice that the bloody guts game's web site had a line about the "sixteen years of research" (meaning watching wrestling) that went into the game, just like the rasslewar game had? At least they aren't claiming everyone should pay the inflated price for said "research"...but the web site does look like it was put together with one of those five dollar web site template discs from Best Buy.

Now that we've completely lost focus yet again, I'll ask if anyone can offer any real advice into the best package of CoTG (for storyline and maybe new additions). I'm looking for something exciting to drag me in deeper, and the website says it'll be up again tomorrow.
(For what its worth, Chewey's baby is better!)

If you like MMA, I'd suggest the new POW set. There's a jump-on point package that has some key older characters and Mark wrote one heck of a story to go with Revival 2122.

Storyline? Did someone say storyline? In that case I'd say, if you like MMA, check out the POW Revival 2122 set. It's got all the characters you need to start a wrestling fed, an MMA fed, or both.
If you like sci-fi/horror, I'd suggest the aCe 2119-2121 Battle for Centra Editions. There's a whole lot of interesting game mechanics contained in it and Kris wrote one heck of a story to go with all three.

Thanks both of you for these suggestions. I'll check out the packs this week. I've been looking into the MMA threads around the board, and it looks like another interesting spin on the CoTG / LoW play.
