I got this a while back. for the xbox. I guess this thread could pertain to the 1st vesion and i think one was called showdown. It's pretty fun. Has over 60 guys to use and some locked. Abdullah the butcher is a locked one so i need a code to unlock him or play a lot more. Anyone else play this?

I played it and sold it soon after. Didnt like something about it. I cant remember now what it was but Im sure it was limited in what you could do and Im sure that is what was the problem

I would skip the 2nd one and go straight to Showdown. out of the series I found the game engine was the best.. If you are alright with guys not having the most realistic move set then its a pretty cool game.

If they would have put the gameplay/Story mode from this into Showdown, then Showdown would have been the greatest US wrestling game ever.

Maybe it was just my copy, but the game seemed very buggy when I had it oh so long ago.

I have Showdown for the Xbox (old Xbox) and it's almost fun, but seems too clunky to me, plus theres no story. My favorite Wrestling game of all time is Smackdown 2 on the playstation, you could do stories, make your own wrestler, fight in weird locations. It just seemed to be the total package.

for sure...i did the career mode for that...made my own guy, went 12 seasons with him...started off fighting to get shots for the IC (or was it the european title?) and by the end, my guy really slowed down...and i was back fighting for a shot at the IC (or was it the european?)
