Craziest FPR moment had to be Rey Mysterio (WWE version) pinning Hulk Hogan (circa 2005).
Rey criticaled Hogan with the West Coast Pop and amazingly, Hogan kicked it and stood up (I've never seen that happen before on a critical). Rey quickly finished him off with the Super Rana in just under 10 minutes.
I gave up on making all my own edits a couple weeks back and resorted to using my max drive to just download edits off the net as well as some amazing looking logos (yes I have a ROH ring that looks exactly like the real thing :-)).
Anyone else out there sorta bumbed that FPR only has 6 available logo slots?
Other then that, I have absolutely no complaints.
Best. Wrestling Game. Ever.

Yeah creating is so much fun. My favorite part is getting the CPU logic right. 1 percent either way changes the entire makeup of your wrestler!!

Just had one of the coolest simmed finishes ever last night between RVD and Jerry Lynn.
RVD and Lynn got into a backswitch series and probably reversed about 5 times until RVD hit a northern lights suplex pin. Lynn kicked out at 2.9 then tried to roll RVD with a school boy. RVD kicked it, but got caught by the cradle piledriver. RVD kicked out again, this time at 2.9. RVD then came back, hit a spinning heel kick and finished Lynn off by criticalling him with the 5 Star Frog Splash. OMG!
Pure insanity. I actually marked out at the finish.

I love so much that the created wrestlers blend seamlessly with the guys in the game...it's not modifying existing guys, or given generic templates to use, or like in most of the Smackdowns where you can instantly tell a CAW from the in-game characters...So much so that when the characters are flying by the screen in the opening, the Created guys are in there as well...That alone adds SO much depth and replay value...
Combine that with the potential for a roster numbering 800+ and you have the best wrestling video game ever made...

You're right 'Cat, if done correctly, the wrestler edits look like they're defaults. You cound't tell the difference between an RVD edit and Mistuharu Misawa. Unless you knew better, you'd just assume RVD was included in the game.
I think a lot of that has to do with the 2d graphics. Which I know some poeple think are outdated. But with all the gameplay options, the impressive CPU logic, massive movesets, logo editor, 500 Edit slots, it's easily the most impressive wrestling game ever made. At least as far as depth goes.
I will say this though, as far as 2d sprites go, they're pretty darn nice looking, and actually don't take anything away from the game as one might expect.
If you don't believe me. Sim a match between two wrestlers from SDVR and then sim a match between two guys on FPR. You'll notice the difference immeidately. The simmed matches flow so well.
FPR is a "true" wrestling fans wrestling video game.

RIck Steiner did a release german suplex on his opponent today. The poor fool went flying, landing outside of the ring, on his head, criticalling him.
I love this game.

And This is one of the beauties of the game. The sudden flash of Critical!!!!!!!!! Match Maker Mode. First match of the night is Rick Steiner against the guy he criticalled last time. 20 minutes into the match, release german suplex, BAM CRITICAL! Steiner knocks this fool out cold two matches in a row. Now, that is how you start off a show.

Steiner can crit on suplexes? Cool!
I was thinking of creating some of my favorites from CPC, since I won't be able to get POW until I get my computer fixed.
Some of my favorites that I'm looking into are: Pendekar, Stigma, Ahnu, Mourn, Erebus, Death's Head, Daeman, and Puma.
Bummer you can't chain 2 grappling moves or I'd combine the Golden Left with a DDT for Ahnu's Infidel Drop.
I want them all to be MMA fighters so I have no clue what to give the 3 undead guys for finishers, especially Mourn. Somehow, I don't think a flying splash would work well in a Gruesome match.
If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions, I'd appreciate them. Thanks in advance.
Take care,
Jay

Fire Pro Wrestling Returns is one of the Greatest Video Games for wrestling, simple graphics rule for this game... because the gameplay is what sells this game. I was really glad that this game was released here in the States.

I'm a beast with Yugi Nagata! I had two Nagata Lock III Criticals in one tournament! Yeah, Nagata can be a badass on that game. But you wanna see a CRITICAL! machine? Play as Vader. The amount of criticals you can score with him is unreal.

It'd be fun to get a few guys together and run the different feds, post results, and have supercards (via sim). Anyone interested?
