Yeah, was going to mention that it was Mugen. I haven't been keeping up with the game since it's getting harder for me to find characters for it. JamieOD, maybe we can make some character trades

Got Peter Griffin and Homer Simpson. Would like a Stewie. I think I have all the Street Fighter stuff (might be missing a couple from the later games), Dark Stalkers, a bunch of Marvel and DC plus some nintendo stuff.

With the release of the XNA Framework (Game development stuff for Windows XP/Vista and XBox360) you can expect to see some interesting projects come out. Most likely it will be primarily for XBox360, but we may see some Windows games as well.

I'm pretty sure this is Mugen or a very Mugen-like program. Some people tend to create for the game and keep their creations to themselves. They're so worried about people stealing their creations but they'll brag about them on youtube. It's a strange community.
People make full games off Mugen too. There's a Family Guy vs. American Dad game, a Resident Evil fighting game, and people are working on a Marvel vs DC game. I'm just assuming that's what this one is because with all the searching I did for Mugen stuff a few months back, I dont remember ever seeing any Kinnikumen stuff either.

One of the guys who posted it mentioned that you can download it but it is a pain. I've sent some messages out in hopes to try this game out.

The creators don't make it easy to get their stuff. If I remember right, one of them worked on a Batman series of characters. He had a group of friends who playtested with him and one of them leaked out a few characters. The creators response was to drop the project. Nowadays you can't even mention him or his work on the message boards without getting a warning. Trading his work is the ultimate sin and if you ask for something he did you're flamed by half the board. It is like that with several creators. Go to any Mugen board and check their requests section and you'll see a long list of creators and characters that you as a poster are not allowed to even mention in a post.
And these same people will complain in other posts that most new players are only in it to collect characters and never contribute anything to the board. They're too scared to.
I love the game and I hate the community. Luckily with cotg I love both.

Its called "2d fighter maker". Am trying ot figure it out now.

Yeah, I can understand how a creator feels in some ways. Making a character for Mugen is tough even when your basically ripping sprites and sounds from an existing video game. They want credit for their work and all. They get upset when somebody hosts the character w/o permission.
But most of them are also using lisenced characters without permission. Even so they still whine about people "stealing" their characters. By shutting down hosts they make it impossible for people to find their characters. It's like trying to find a needle in a haystack of broken links. Hunting for characters is almost as hard as making them.
