Pulled this old game out the other day and lo and behold actually had a decent time with it. I am interested in knowing if anyone out there has any cards for this - especially from the Hardcore expansion- that they might want to part with.
I have all the regular COTG sets up to 2119 and some special edition cards and the like, and am actually looking to give them a better and more appreciative home; trading them for say Nitro and Raw Deal cards would work well for me.
I can be reached at allensh1ATchartermi.net

I have the Undertaker and Rock starters from the first set... do you need those? Those are from the most excellent WWE (then WWF) Raw Deal card game; I am interested in the WCW Nitro card game made by Wizards of the Coast in 2000/2001. Although I will likely be looking for Raw Deal cards also as I am wanting to play that game as well. I might be interested in those starter decks, how much do you want for them? Allen

The COTG cards have been traded for some Nitro and Taw Deal cards.
I am still interested in getting more of both, of course.

I worked for Wizards of the Coast (well Hasbro actually, but in the Wizards of the Coast subdivision) when Nitro was released. I loved the game and still prefer it to Raw Deal. Unfortunately, the marketing and distribution decisions that some of the higher ups within WotC made really damaged the game. Specifically the lack of wrestler specific theme decks and making the wrestlers themselves the ultra-rares in the booster packs. They fixed it somewhat with Hardcore, but by then the damage was irrevocable and the license was waning. It was one of three big licensed failures for WotC that year. Along with X-Men and Loonie Toons. Anyway, my point, and I did have one, is that if you PM a list of what cards you are looking for, I’ll dust my collection off and see what I have.

And I agree with your comments completely; the starters were lame but they were about the only way to get decent amounts of Nitro cards. And the card distribution: I bought two booster boxes and didn't get a Rey Mysterio Jr., or a DDP even though I did got all his other special cards. I'm not even sure why I'm playing it again..picked it up with a friend and just got hooked its kind of bizzare Allen

I almost bought this game at one time. Its actually fairly fun. Like any tading card game, much of the strategy lies in what cards you put in your deck, and there is the random element involved in what cards you get in your hand. Purely on a gameplay level, it was a decent design (as shown by the fact that they used the design elements again when they did their Harry Potter card game...which leads to some bizzare crossover ideas...) Can you play this game solo? I have done so, to test deck designs, but lioke most trading card games its more fun against an opponent. Allen

Went through and found one of the boxes of my old nitro cards, but they were all from the first set. If anyone needs "Nitro" cards themselves or Disco Inferno cards (I have a couple of those) let me know.

I most definitley need Nitro cards I have all the cards or a Kevin Nash deck but not enough Nitro left to build it! Allen
