Is there anyone out there who still plays Triple Play 2001 from EA Games? Right now, that's the only version of this game that I have. I'd buy some of the newer versions, but since I'm still running Windows ME, a lot of the games and programs on the market now won't run on my computer.
Anyhooters, I'm running a completely-drafted Boston Red Sox full season, with one self-created character (me, natch!). In my last outing, we played the Detroit Tigers, and my character went 6 for 6, all homers. I've unlocked several good legends, most of whom I'm playing on my team. The next time I play the game, I'll try to write down the current roster that I have and post it here for everyone to see.

I used to love the Triple Play series. My only complaint was that you could jack homers almost at will. And apparently your 6-6, 6 homer game reflects that as well

What I really love about the game is the Extreme Home Run Challenge mode, where it gives you various locations (like a medeval castle, a construction site, inside a huge house, and Cashman Stadium) with targets up the yin-yang for you to aim for. I love playing the house location because even if I hit a foul ball in the house, if I can manage to hit the grandfather clock or the birdcage with the seagull in it, I still get credited with a home run, plus I get 5000 bonus points for hitting the target. Anyway, this is my "current" roster (mind you, I'm still in April of 2001): BENCH | BATTING ORDER | P Roger Clemens P Randy Johnson C Jason Veritek 2B Roberto Alomar CF Micky Mantle (Legend) P Darryl Kile P Dwight Gooden P Kenney Rogers 1B Willy McCovey (Legend) P Cy Young (Legend) P Dave Eiland LF Orlando Palmero P Oral Hersheiser P Mike Myers P Mike Grace P Randy Myers | DH Hank Aaron (Legend) 3B Mike Schmidt (Legend) C David Barnes (Self-Created) LF Ted Williams (Legend) RF Reggie Jackson (Legend) SS Derek Jeter 2B Brett Boone CF Ruben Mateo |
