I can't decide whether to get it or not. NCAA '07 comes out in like 3 weeks...I may just wait for it. I don't know what to do.

Bought it myself for my laptop. I spent like 5 hours just getting to the pre-season.
If you're a control freak and you really enjoy the management portion of Madden's Franchis Mode, this game will suck you in:
The game starts by letting you create ou character. you do a phone interview (basically a football knowledge quiz) which determines your beginning characterisitics and how many job offers you get. You choose the offer to accept and then it goes from there:
You choose your staff. You negotiate with agenst for your own free agents. You scout the combine. You go after free agents on other teams. You go through the draft. And then you start training camp.
And at every step, you can do things qucikly, or go more intricate and rerally pick at every detail.
The only 'complaints' I have are that A) the rosters are not up to date becaue the game was created at the end of the season. So some major roster differences haven't happened: TO is on the Eagles, Culpepper is on the Vikes, etc, and B) the computer AI is VERY number based. So when the draft rolled around, positions like LB and DB were more valued ( Madden player will get this, athletes at those position always have high values) than in the real draft. So, for instance, Reggie Bush was available when i picked at #9 and mario Williams dropped out of the top 10. AJ Hawk was the #2 pick over-all.
But every thing else, especially for someone like me who enjoys sims like Front Office Football or Basebal Mogul was awesome. i love this game.

NFL Head Coach was a great idea and will make an awesome series, but it I've coached exactly 6 games with the Titans and it's already too easy. I just beat the Colts 45-0 and forced 7 Peyton Manning Interceptions. When you consider that I start Billy Volek becuase McNair's AI resembles Aaron Brooks and that the CB crew that picked Manning clean was led by Devin Hester at a 73 OVR you get an idea of how out of whack that is. But the way they did the ratings is genius and should be incorporated into Madden and NCAA, along with the fact that I can tell Norm Chow is getting more and more pissed off with me by the subtle jabs he takes at me in coach meetings.

I have been leaning towards not buying this game and this has helped me reinforce that decision. I can wait 3 weeks for NCAA 2007...where I can throw my own damn interceptions.

INT's are the one thing that make me blow my top when playing football games. Being a would-be QB when I was younger, I always prided myself on keeping the INT's down, so if I were coach and Favre was 0/7 he'd maybe get one more game, and then he'd be off to the glue factory...and I love Bret Favre. Some people's pet peves are leaving the toilet seat up, hands free cell phones or leaving dirty dishes in the sink...mine is INT's.
**Just a story...one time, playing Madden 05 franchise mode with a couple of friends, I was the Texans and my buddy picked Carr off 6 times in one game (we simulated games vs. the computer, and watched games our teams played against each other...we were hardcore for a good 3-4 months) and I didn't play again for about 2 months!

I have been scouting around looking for a QB to replace Farve. With Reggie Bush as my back it isnt killing me but it could be bad at a piviotal point in the game. The sad thing is that Farve is 95 overall!

Just bought it today. Was kinda' pissed that my cards didn't have Edge and our beloved USC QB! I wish it would have started out with the current rosters, and had the off-season after the first season.
Keep the Faith
