I've been thinking about getting one, as I like the fact that I can just chill somewhere and play and I've always been a fan of Nintendo's 'fun' factor when it comes to their games (Mario etc.)
So for those who have one, what are some of the good games? Is Tetris good? What about Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Kart?

I would also recommend Meteos, but it came out before the Nintendo Wi-Fi, so it loses some of its appeal if you're the only player in your area. Another great game is Advance Wars DS. There's also stuff like Animal Crossing, Feel the Magic, Nintendogs, Lost in Blue, Trace Memory, Castlevania, and the other usual suspects, but starting with Tetris and Kart is probably the way to go.

Don't forget the GREATEST GAME...! Animal Crossing Wild World, this is a must have no matter what! FIFA Soccer 06 is a very excellent game, I'm playing a created team called the GREEN-CATS Football Club, owned by Green-Cat Cat Litter. The DS in MY VIEW is the best hand-held system out there.

Well, I picked one up the other day at Walmart along with Tetris. Money well spent. I like the fact that I can just turn it on for 20-30 minutes anywhere and play for a bit...during a lunch break...nothing on TV...and the game itself is a lot of fun with TONS of modes aside from the classic falling tetris blocks. The dual screen is cool, the graphics are quite good (especially the old Super Mario/Nintendo background stuff).
Haven't really used the touch screen except to in the menu's.
So, I've got my eye on Animal Crossing and maybe Super Mario Kart, though I'm still not sold on it without the 'stick'.
If your a 'Nintendo' fan, then the DS is solid choice. My only gripe is getting used to its shape and holding it. Doesn't feel as natural as the Gameboy did...but it doesnt' feel awkward.

I just bought me a previously used NDS the other day, basically so I could go out and buy the Yu-Gi-Oh Nightmare Troubador game. The Yu-Gi-Oh game was a lot harder to find than the DS. Every store I went to was out of stock on the game until I went to Circuit City in Beavercreek. Lo and behold, they had one copy left, so I bought it.
