Save yourself the money I bought it used a couple of months back and its really bad. Ive only played it once. Its worse then Rumble Roses by a whole lot. Roses looks like No Mercy next to it... well maybe a good Smackdown not No Mercy.

If it's anything like the Cube version, it's not even a wrestling game. It's more of a Street Fighter-type game that happens to use wrestling moves.

I bidded on it on ebay for 99 cents so I guess that tells me a lot... thanks so much for the advice. If I win then Ill take it but if it goes higher then I wont waste my time.

I got the game today and i played a couple of matches during lunch... I think its ok. Not bad for what I paid but I do hate that the "battle royal" is really a four man match. =( Why isnt there a game where we can do a 20 or more man battle royal!!! stupid video game makers suck!

The closest I've seen is 6 guys in the ring simultaneously on SD vs. RAW 2006. I don't think they can do 20 at a time because the game would run really slow, though with the PS2 load times, slow is not something we're unfamiliar with.

I owned Showdown: Legends of Wrestling for about a month... and you could get 8 people into the ring at one time for a 4-corners tag team match with no slowdown. That was pretty great considering how good the graphics were in that game. But what didn't make any sense at all is that for the battle royal you could only have 4 in the ring.

I think the problem there is the fact that a battle royal is "every man for himself", which would require you to be able to lock on to any opponent in the ring, whereas a 4-corners tag match still has only 3 potential opponents at any one time.

That's true as long as only 4 guys were in the ring at a time... but there were times that there were more guys in the ring and fighting on the outside as well. At least that's how I remember it.

I rather enjoyed the GC verison of Muscle. It just falls into the trap of having nothing left to do once it's beaten.
and I just picked up Rumble Roses for the PS2 to increase my library for that...It makes me feel...unclean.

Very true on the MUSCLE game... I just beat it and now my son plays it nonstop.
