Just got a new bit of info off of Fireproclub.com-if the mods don't like that I posted things separate from my last topic, can it be merged together?
New cage match info for Firepro Wrestling Returns-
You can have up to 4 vs 4 in the cage.
You can do escape rules, which with teams is like Aethran Ultimate Escape-your whole team has to get out to win(but it is tornado rules, AUE is really supposed to have everyone tagging in and out)
You can turn off escape and do pins/subs, and climb out of the cage and start fighting on the outside.
You can choose to have 0-8 weapons in the cage at the start of the match.
Let me know if you guys enjoy seeing this stuff-if nobody cares, I'll stop...

I like reading about this game as well as some other sites about KOC II. The only problem i have is the one store that use to do the conversions for the ps2 to play japanese games is no longer around so i have absolutely no clue how to get my ps2 to play those games without cracking it open myself which i'd be highly nervous about.

Just go for the fliptop. As long as you follow the directions and have a really small screwdriver(like fixing eyeglasses or unscrewing GI Joe figures) and two normal screwdrivers, it takes like 5-10 minutes.
Trust me, it's easy. I put a solder free modchip in my Xbox. That was not easy...and I cut myself on the Xbox innards.

I'll get my copy wednesday. About a week after that, I should have some pics of GWF wrestlers ready-they'll be pretty ghetto though, since I don't have a capture card and will just be taking photos of the screen.
New stuff I've heard so far- The Florida Brothers have a false DQ move where they throw you a chair and act hurt, and the ref starts to count to DQ you for it.
If you bring a weapon into the ring, you have a 5 count or get DQed
CPU logic can be programmed to go for a pin or submission(or any ground move) after specific moves, to make sure finishers end matches
There's a ripoff of Kurt Angle's music in Wrestler Edit w/ You Suck chants
Wrestlers start crowd chants-if you do the hands clapping taunt, the audience claps along with them. Genki Hiroguchi starts to spell out "H-A-G-E" clap clap clap-clap clap and then the audience does it too, chanting along as well(Genki is going bald. Hage means bald, but he's embraced his receding hairline).
Only some wrestlers can dive off the cage-not everyone.
You can scale individual body parts in CAW by percent as well as the regular S M L stuff
Face Layering might actually make it possible for me to make a Bishop Hell with his hood-I'm hoping anyway. Will for sure allow me to use different heads other than Hawk and Animal for the Gladiators and have a decent looking Thantos w/ SOMETHING on his forehead.
When you make a ring you can paint up a logo from scratch, color the ring posts individually, the ring ropes and turnbuckles individually, etc. You can split colors on the mat like ROH, and someone has already made a ROH ring for download.
They have entertainment based moves that cause damage that way. These include Danshoku Dino's moves, which lets just say make Rico, Goldust, and Adrian Adonis look like John Wayne.
Legends of Wrestling card characters in the game from the start:
Road Warrior Hawk Road Warrior Animal Giant Baba Mil Mascaras Sabu Bruiser Brody Antonio Inoki Rikidozan
With the ability to make probably everyone else.

I'm going to get a PS2 just for this game, but I need to get everything thats been talked about. I'm wondering where I can get a Flip Top, and then the game?

If you're going to get a PS2 just for this game, get a pre-modded PS2 or a Japanese PS2. Go the Japanese PS2 route if you're REALLY getting it just for this game because you'd have to mod it to play US games then.
You'd have to google where to get those.
I got my game from NCSX but they're out of them right now due to preorders and people preordered a second batch up, so it could be a while. There's a poll on fireproclub.com of where people bought their game-don't use therage.com though.

Actually, to be able to do the english patch that might come out for it, you'd need the fliptop or a modchip...check the hardware section of the fireproclub.com boards, they should have a few topics up.

That Florida Brothers move sounds like something that would be good for creating Eddie Guerrero.

is $65 a good price for the game?

It's normal, that's what I paid for it(before shipping), and I've only seen it like a dollar or two less.
It's pretty much the Japanese MSRP with like no markup, so grab it for that much while you can.

I did. I bought it at NCSX or whatever it is called. I also bought a different kind of swapping thing instead of the flip top. It was called " PS2 Slide Card w/ Swap Magic Plus 3.6 Disks - No ModChip Needed" I don't entirely know how it works but it seems pretty cool. I will let you all know once I have it in my possession.

It's good to know that a very similar version of this game is coming out for the PSP. As you all may know, there's no regional coding for PSP games, so the Japanese titles can be played in U.S. systems.

I'm still glad I bought the PS2 version. I had to spend 100 dollars for the game and the slide card but I don't own a PSP and that would end up being much more than 100 for sure.

Be careful w/ that slidecard-they can damage your motor pretty bad for the disc drawer-but I think worst case scenario you'd just need to use it for every game.
The PSP game is kind of like the Gamecube game-Spike has signed on as a developer, hasn't announced anything, and it's all heresay and rumours.
They HAVE announced a wrestling title for the DS, but is it firepro? Is it King of Colosseum? Something totally new? THAT'S driving everyone nuts!
I got my game yesterday, and the few hours I played ruled. Cage matches are great. Elimination tags are SUPER FUN and if you have a heel team the eliminated guys distract the ref and stuff(they stay ringside like they were a manager/second).
I had more typed up but accidentally deleted it, so I'll post a better review later this week/early next week since I'm at work right now.
In short, menus are confusing as hell since they're so different from past games.....but do really cool stuff once learned.

Actually, the exact same company that made the PS2 version (Spike) announced at TGS that they are in fact making a PSP version, so I'm not sure how that equates to a rumor. I believe Gamespot.com and IGN.com have live feed from most of the show, so you can watch for yourself.

I haven't seen any TGS coverage, so that's some cool new info right there-did they actually say Firepro, or just a wrestling game?
Do you know if DSes have region lockout? I know GBAs and PSPs dont, but I think custom logo mode will rule on the DS with the styus/touch screen(you can do your own logo on the console firepros by using an MS Paint-like program).
Like I hope to do a GWF logo for this game, but putting stuff in w/ the controller bit by bit really takes a long time.
I'll have some pics up of at least Wolf and Thantos soon, btw, since they let you clear the pause menu, and I already tooled around w/ edit enough to make a semi decent thantos.
I can do a bishop hell w/ hood but it'll possibly look semi goofy-GWF 2087's whole roster comes first
